Why doesn't the black suit in 3 look like the black suit in the comics?

You like it because non comic fans like it? **** them, they aren't devoted to this character like we are.
Hey, Tangled Web who's that ugly man in your avy?

Won ’08, that is an easy & lazy argument by Ramites who could not come up with a credible argument to the contrary. Sure that happened, but how do you explain the change of the spider on the movie version. If the suit just covers up the existing suit then how come that spider changes, oh because he is DARK now, whoopty ******* dooo.

The simple fact is & is proven in any movie that characters origins are changed all the time, some good some bad & some downright stupid (that goes for comics to).

They could have created a believable reason such as oh maybe he is DARK WOOOOOOOO!

It is lazy, period. Although the only other reason would be to differentiate the two from each other, (which is again a lazy plot device) but the original suit could have been used & still have been distinctive.

This is a great version, it still conveys the movie & COMIC version all at the same time. How hard is that? http://content.bolt.com/uploads3/photo/8/4/3/8/9/7/843897/medium/1148757222727.jpg

Well, personally, when I first saw the Black suit myself, I was very upset it wasn't the comics/cartoon version. Then I saw that manip someone did within the first week where it made it look like the original black suit on the poster. And that's what turned me around. That's what made me say, "Gee, the original black suit looks kinda crappy in live action, doesn't it?" Don't get me wrong: It's beautiful on the page or in the cartoon. But it just wouldn't look right in the Live action movie. So, that's when I became glad that they did the approach they have, and I have really warmed up to it.

You know, this reminds me. When the teaser poster first came out, some people were swearing that it wasn't the REAL Black suit of the movie, it would be symbolic of what we'd get. then the Teaser Trailer put that to bed, proving it was the real black suit. Now some people are insisting that the GG costume Harry wears in the Teaser isn't the real GGII costume of the movie.

familiar, no?

If they can "F" with the webshooters and make them organic.
What the heck.

But the 'scalely' black costume IS pretty cool.

It will be interesting to see how they explain the whole symbiote thing.

Good thing we get to see this shortly.

Oh,......wait.......we got a WHOLE year to go.

There are many reasons why they do it so.

But suit looks f***ing damn GREAT!

Also, the comic suit has no textural definition to it, which makes it a ***** to light, especially because its almost entirely black. I thought I heard somewhere that the comic costume's look didn't translate well when they did wardrobe tests and that cg'd versions of spidey wearing it looked too fake. And yes, it is to create a futher distinction between Venom and Spidey so that average moviegoers aren't confused.
excatly the orginal is a cool suit but wouldnt react to lighting from the sun.

Ramites? lmao. You're a joke. Just like your screen name!

Dude I was one of the first people to see that Manip and as great as it is, it does NOT work with the way the movies have been going. At all. All of a sudden Peter has a WHITE spider out of No-where because he's DARK?

No.

He simulated a white spider in the comics because he had Spider-Woman in his head. When he got the symbiote (in the comics) he wasn't even TURNING villainous! It didn't mess with his personality at all! It messed with his head (freaky dreams) and even manipulated his body while he was asleep...but never. EVER. Did it force him to become one with his "evil intentions". The costume design was a borrowed one, and theres nothing lazy with extraditing it from the movie-verse based on that simple logic.

Theres nothing HARD about creating that costume, at all. The argument stands as to why. Believe it or not, theb lack spider-man movie costume was MORE difficult to create than the normal one, due to it's new RAISED shading pattern and it's under toned Gloss effect (added forl ighting purposes) So in reality the comic version would have been MUCH easier to create, lack of webbing and outter eye-ridges and such.

Honestly...It's simple. There was no basis for the comic costume to come about in the movie. No Spider-Woman. No Spider-Woman design. Nothing lazy about it. No cop out. I'm no "Raimite" as you call 'them' or 'us'.

It's common sense.

I realize that the Spider on the black suit in 3 is different and slightly larger than on the original suit, but it should be more dominant, and resembling more of the look from the comics.

IT'S CAUSE NOTHING IS EXACTLY THE SAME WHEN MAKING THE TRANSITION FROM COMICS TO FILM. THEY HAVE TO CHANGE IT UP A BIT TO MAKE IT THEIR OWN I GUESS.

Last warning, JLH. STOP the name-calling and insults.

You assume much about me.

The ultimate & many other series have changed origins about characters yet most of them have hardly changed in appearance. Ala the manip, it does not look exactly like the glossy suit yet resembles it, there is no contradiction.

The 1988 story is an excuse, the manip or something similar does not contradict the movie & it is not a rehash of an old story.

You failed to comment at my reasoning at why his suit would look like that.

You still spout about the old story & say it is fact. When has a comic movie especially spider-man ever stuck to the original story (or fact, it is a comic book/movie) & although a LITTLE different, the manip still looks the same as the comic & meets the continuity of the movie.

Also, how did his suit go from a spray painted hoody to a professional Hollywood representation? There was not an OUNCE of explanation in that what so ever, so where & how did he get the resources to make it. Are we supposed to use conjecture, no REALLY, I thought we had a continuity to follow here. People either accepted it or they did not, simple as that.

“One could conceive the symbiote filled in the webbing & designed its own (because it is self-aware) spider based on spider-man’s personality & inherent nature & because it is different, it adds to further the idea that the symbiote is sentient & has an imagination & can think for it’s self. Thus giving explanation to its ability to manipulate peters mind & feed off Brock’s hatred”.

So why can there be no explanation as to why he has such a professional suit with absolutely no income or other resources that looks nearly identical to the comic version, yet we have to have an absolute explanation as to why the symbiote cannot do the same?

Now it is. Keep it civil please, guys.

the cartoon didnt need spider-woman to do the black suit faithfully, and neither did the ultimate comics. some of you need to stop making excuses.

Dude, I love your avvy! Happy Trees!!! I actually have a t-shirt w/him and that prhase. Needless to say my wife doesn't like me to go out in public with it on.

...and good points about the translation to the screen. Even the original suit was changed, subtely. I look forward to this film with great anticipation. Spidey will OWN 2007!

Oiy. Kid you're trying way too hard.

"Sin City". Go read then watch the movie.

Exactly. These guys just want to make excuses. Did Bat fans make thesekinds of excuses when they had Batman wearing a bastardized costume? No. If they had Spidey wearing likewise, would these guys defend it? Yes.

who says u have to follow what the comics say. rami will be laughing his ass off by all the money he will be making

The Batman is right; you do not need to consistently follow the comics to a T when it comes to characterization (the explanation of existents). The manip looks similar to the comics yet it resembles the movie, because it is the same suit minus the webbing & little spider.

I remember this guy from this town called Springfield in the state…….of, I can’t remember, known only as the “comic book guy”.

He said something to me about this very subject & it goes something like this.

I said “Hey, comic book guy their making a movie about Radioactive Man & want to do a story about his new suit, but won’t use the similar look of the comics in the movie”. “Can you in your infinite wisdom tell me why, oh why not comic book guy”?

“Certainly my young padawan, in radioactive wars #8, were radioactive man & the superior squad is whisked away to an alternate universe to fight the injustice of humanity in….an…alternate…..universe”…

I stopped him there & as asked him “skip ahead & tell me about how Radioactive Man acquired his fantastic new suit”.

He said “Then radioactive man saw what Lure Lass & Weasel Woman weren’t wearing…HEH…& thought of this bombastic new outfit & SHAZAM there it was for all to see”!

“So you see it won’t work in the context of the movie so there”! “Well why not comic book guy” I asked.

“Because it is fact,” said comic book guy.

I replied “OHHHHH that makes sense”, considering their FICTIONAL CHARACTERS”!

Glavin…gluvin….with the conjecture, opinion, & supposition about fictional characters GLAVIN!

All in good fun, you see. NOT!

P.S. can someone explain how he got or made such a professional suit in the first movie WITH NO EXPLANATION? No one has answered this yet.

I Think when he was intently staring at the picture he drew he just started do daydream every thing up, (LIKE A COMIC BOOK WRITER) because that would be the BEES KNEES!
