Why doesn't the black suit in 3 look like the black suit in the comics?

No one said it can’t, but the people who do not like it have a valid reason why it shouldn’t (for the most part). As a character as recognizable as the symbiote & Venom it makes it a little difficult to understand the drastic change, other than personal preference.

This isn't Venom though. It's Spider-man wearing the black symbiote costume. Venom comes later.

Even non-comic fans can look at a comic & say look that’s Venom, but the same person may look at the movie & say HUH that does not look like the suit I have seen before.

So . . . what's the problem? We haven't even seen Venom yet.

If they had initially used a version of that manip, would you say I hate it & say it should look like his regular costume only black? Probably not & that suit would not only please you but many of the “fanboys”, (you’re a fanboy of something to slick, don’t kid yourself) as well, so don’t pretend to not understand their viewpoint & they won’t mistake you for a comic book fan.

No but I'm not a nitpicky fanboy and that's not what the majority of moviegoers are.

Get over the fact that they aren't trying to appease some whiney fanboys that are going to pay to see the movie multiple times anyway.

I do not think it has anything to do with the look of the suit from your side of the fence. Rather a fanaticism with the direction of Rami & it would not matter what the suit looked like (obviously to a certain extent) your camp would still like it.

I really don't understand what you are talking about. The suit looks great in action that's all that matters to me.

Someone explain to me why they changed Batman's costume from the comics in Batman Begins. It's not all black in the comics! It's grey and black! The guantlets are separate from the gloves! Did you guys whine this much about it?

Oh, and Bats' costume in gray and blue in the comics, well, at least most of the time.

It's usually grey and black when I see it.

It's been all manner of colors, especially the blue, grey, black and yellow combination.

The Batman costume never looked like it did in the comics in the movies.

Yes it is,the reason why sometimes it looks grey its because the suit is matte black and not gloss black, and in certain light it looks pale therefore giving the look of greyish color or better said charcoal grey. But the spidey "black" suit has shades of grey it will look black in nightime scenes but sometimes it will appear to be dark grey,like in the last shot of the trailer when spidey looks at the camera you can clearly see the difference from the other shots,the suit looks great but that's the only thing that worries me,hopefully most of the time we see spidey in the black suit it will be at night.

The fact of the matter is that the opinion of the MASS populace is WAY more important than that of the Fanboy's.

SO the black costume is the way it is because if it were the comic version, the average joe movie goer would think it ******ed that they changed the spider to a giant wierd looking white spider AND they would wonder HOW it got that way in the first place.

The suit we got just makes more sense.
SO stop b!tching and embrace it.

Him seeing the Red/Blue is just for the trailer - in the actual movie the scene hopefully will mirror the Animated Series, which was a great scene in my opinion.

I prefer the new design on the suit. I would agree with another post saying that the main decision regarding the suit was marketing. The casual moviegoer isn't going to know the backstory like we do. Minor changes in a costumes don't have me worried about Raimi and his crew. As long as the elements from the comic story are present I will be happy.

look comic book purists piss me off...for example can you imagine the new tmnt movie where none of the characters had pupils and they all had identical colour bandanas? sure it'd be closer to the comic but who would give a ****e if you can't follow who is who?

same principle here-a visual difference between venom and black spidey. it makes perfect sense and the black costume looks seriously cool in the movie so I cant for the love of me understand why anyone objects. same thing with the organic webshooters. imo organic webshooters are FAR easier to believe in the context of movie fantasy. so stop your whining biatches. And whilst GG2 might look like ****e a)makes more sense for harrys character who IS NOT INTO MASKS b) well....I actually liked GG1's costume- I think a rubber mask would have scared the kids a little bit too much.

Then when you can’t come up with any more assumptions to counter my opinions & validity of a creditable story that could explain its existence in the movie, then you call me names.

His suit also carries the same look as Venom so that answers your first lame OPINION.
