Why the Hate for this Movie?

Yeah the card idea was bad, the game thing was even worse how would the developers know about jumping backwards at 15 seconds.

It was pretty corny.

If any of the mythology crap gets put in...it was so cheesy how he played one of the levels later in the movie in real life...just no...

They are though Gokus a guy who lives in the woods with his grandpa and trains.

Bulma meets with Goku, tells him about Dragonballs and go off to look for them.

They meet Yamcha in the desert and they fight.

They meet Roshi and he trains Goku

Meanwhile Piccolo is set free and he wants the Dragonballs for eternal youth.

Sounds like Karate Kid 5, 6, 7.... It sounds like every other western 'martial arts' type movie that has gone before .

I like DB and DBZ because its not ingrained in the our real world and the characters are odd balls...I like that uniqueness. I like that fact when it comes to action there's no letting back - its in your face stuff. They just wouldn't go this far in the movie and for me it would have lost part of the appeal.

Seriously i wanna know.

I go on sites like IMDB on the DBZ and Dragonball board and most comments are negative. I go on other DBZ fan forums where that also recieves alot of hate, same as comments on youtube.

Even on this site a kinda nerdy site it was on the front page the other day about the GI Joe poster and Dragonball poster 80% of the comments praised GI Joe and said Dragonball was a joke.

Why?

Ive seen people react to other superhero posters and pictures but have never seen so much negativity for this type of film before, and even the so called fans are against it.

Even on Box Office Mojo a forum that actually has intelligent people say its gonna flop.

People just keep saying the same thing "lol this movie looks awful/is gonna suck/is gonna flop"

What are people expecting to see here, What is it thats so bad about this movie?

The have changed so much about it, I dont even wanna watch it, but honestly it wouldnt be the first live action F***-up they have made into a movie for DB

I guess its sad and I hate to say this but that hilter finding out about DB youtube clip was almost the same reaction I had.... WTF WTFF??! I love the manga, the animated seris was toned down (so was everything after the first volume tho)

Though recenly i have noticed its been getting better lately, so maybe people are tired of complaining now and are just gonna see it to see how its like.

I just wanted to know has anyone heard Akira Toryama speak about the film?

A typicall poster has stated that he has ben quoted as uneasy about the film in Shonen Jump issue called one shot.

Can anyone verfiy this or is this just another DB genius flaming boards?
