That's your opinion. It's pretty ridiculous, in my opinion, for folks to say they "completely ruined" Piccolo after seeing two screen captures of him. Piccolo is a character (which, surprisingly, is more than just appearance), and James Marsters may portray that character amazingly on film. We don't know yet.

Oh, and a lot of so-called-fans may say they won't see it, but, they probably will.

Its not just my opinion loads of people hate the look, and thats a very important part but he looks absolutely nothing like him.

People who were supporting arnt so much anymore.

People who were giving it a chance have gave up on it.

They may be trying to make it like the manga, but they're doing a half assed job by the looks of it.

Actually the story is pretty faithful i will give it that. But people were starting to accept the movie more then they did this.

Transformers wasn't accurate, but above all it just wasn't a good movie, so the hate is justified. This movie has yet to come out and still has a chance at being fair. No one is praising the movie, just giving it the benefit of the doubt.

I don't remember any hater giving Transformers a chance before it came out. Most of the haters had made up their minds 10 months before the movie came out. In terms of accuracy I'm not sure what you're talking about unless you are referring to Generation 1 because there have been multiple cartoons and comics with no continuity. What source material was the movie supposed to come from?

I don't remember any hater giving Transformers a chance before it came out. Most of the haters had made up their minds 10 months before the movie came out. In terms of accuracy I'm not sure what you're talking about unless you are referring to Generation 1 because there have been multiple cartoons and comics with no continuity. What source material was the movie supposed to come from?

That's because everyone associated with that movie were lying through their teeth. And that movie is absolutely god awful in composition and execution. Really, all I got out of it was really awkward gross out humor and guys running around screaming at things. Plus who can forget Shia saying "No no no no no no no no...." constantly. I guarantee you in 20 years no one will even remember that abortion while The Dark Knight will still be much loved by people.

Oh and to be on topic, Piccolo is Akira Toriyama's favorite character, so if they screw this character design up they will not be respecting the creator at all.

Crap...I hope they're not trying to pass him off as 20. Of course we all know that in this movie series any romantic inclusions with Bulma will just skip right past Yamcha and have her immediately hook up with Vegeta.

I'm not bothered at all by the casting. I like Justin Chatwin as Goku myself because it's clearly evident that Akira Toriyama's characters are not just Asian but multicultural. I'm not even bothered too much by the plot. What I am dismayed about are the loopy, unnecessary changes to the canon characters which are easily solvable. For instance, is it asking too much to make Piccolo green and give him antennae? Is it that monumentally difficult to make Master Roshi bald, give him glasses and a goatee? Would it really, truly cause third world nations to suffer just by renaming that character Teto to Krillin since it's abundantly evident he's just a Krillin stand in? I mean honestly, it's like Fox is acting like a spoiled child hoarding all their toys from all the other kids. "This is MY movie! I don't care about the rest of you!!"

Hmmmm......I was thinking in terms of Dragonball series ages Bulma was a teenager, maybe 16 and Yamcha a tad older, like 18 or 19. Not too much of an age gap there of course. He sure does still look pretty young, well young for a guy in his 40's or 50's, by the time Dragonball GT ended too. In the live action movie it would seem like Bulma was in her late teens and Yamcha in his 30's. It's still not cringe worthy but still uncomfortable an age gap. But like I said, I believe they will just skip over the fact Bulma and Yamcha were a couple and fast forward to Bulma shacking up with Vegeta just to avoid the connotations that Bulma is a little...minx. In the anime she basically cheated on poor Yamcha and selfishly accused him of the same behavior to assuage her guilt with having seduced Vegeta.
