So I figured I would ask do you think asm3 will be better then asm2? I think it will be the biggest problem with the last sever movies is cutting to much from the movie. I am going to say that sony learns form that and doesn't cut to much from asm3 and maybe even highers better wirghters and that the movie ends up much better.

So I figured I would ask if you think TASM3 will be better than TASM2? I think that the biggest problem from the past several movies is cutting too much out from the final product.

I am going to say that Sony will learn from that and not cut too much from TASM3, and maybe they will even hire some better writers, as a consequence, the movie will end up much better.

Do you think TASM3 will be better than TASM2?

I've deciphered your post a bit to make it clearer for anyone as it is a really good question

I think TASM3 will be slightly worse.

I think TASM3 will be slightly worse.

and why do you think it will be slightly worse? To many unanswered questions form asm2 that will be cared over into asm3 and make the movie to cowarded?

I don't ask for much, zero romance and just Spidey beating the snot out of bad guys would make it the best movie ever for me. Hell, Avenger had no story(that I remember of) but still was a damn fine movie. Unfortunately I don't see that happening here so I vote "will be about the same".

Hey man, don't be like that. We still have to wait for some news that might be good

No.

If Sony's current track record with the TASM series is a hint, the movies will get worse.

Better if Sony leave it alone, worse if they don't.

With what happened with the movie and its aftermath I really hope it doesn't go anything bad.

Before asking use this question, ask yourself this.

Besides MJ's appearance, what do we know about TASM3? Answer: nothing.

So why ask will a film we don't know a damn thing to will be better then a film we saw?

If Sony removes of its dead weight, gets a better editor on these movies, and with the writing doesn't get tangled up in the different stories but interweave them together, they'll be fine. I think Drew Goddard will restore some faith in the franchise with "Sinister Six" but that is if Sony doesn't meddle. If they can step back and let him create versus every once and awhile intruding or taking the reins like they've done to both Webb and Raimi then things will get worse, but if they let the filmmaker just set out to do what he wants to do then things will get better, but it's a long shot.

I think people are anxious to see a "Sinister Six" movie but I don't know about "ASM3" sadly. That movie divided a lot of people. I happen to enjoy it for what its worth even if I feel certain things could've been cut or rewritten entirely (Max Dillon/Electro and Dr. Kafka) and more character development could've been given to Peter and Harry's relationship, but overall I understood what Webb was trying to achieve or do with it. It does feel like time is slipping out of Peter's grasp and he's got all these things to overcome but time is literally not on his side. I think one can't argue that the concept or idea for it was pretty cool it's just some things could've worked better than others.

Because he's trying to break a record in pointless threads. He's competing with Spider-Knight.

It not a pointless thread I am trying to find judge what peoples expectations and confadince is for the asm3 that is not pointless and if people think sony will learn from there mistakes or not.

You got that right ninjaturtlefan

Also most of my threads aren't really that pointless

Most of those threads are "thought of the day" which should just be posted in the general discussion thread to not clutter the boards.

Its not cluttering the boards and its not like I am making 100 threads a day and some times polls are better then just asking a question.

How can we have expectations if we know nothing?[/QUOTE

You can have expectations based off what you thought about asm1 and 2 and what you thought was good and what you thought was bad about the movie. To put it simple if a movie is great like dark knight then the next movie your expectations are going to be higher then if the movie suckeds. I think asm3 will be much better and hear is why. Sm3 even with it being much worse recived them sm 1, 2 made more money then asm1 made 755 million being a reboot and doing the orgine over again. I think 755 million for a reboot was great. Most people would say batman begins was much better the asm1 yet it made like half has much has asm1. So with asm1 making that much I think it made sony cocky with asm2. Now that asm2 didn't do so while even after getting the orgine out of the way after asm1 I think sony is going to think harder and longer about what to do and will try to make sure not to rush the movie witch is why they deyland asm3 by 2 years. With the last 3 movies being interfered by sony but with the last one being the first 1 to really suffer in the box office I think sony is going t learn that they need to back off and give more creative freedom. Sm 1, 2 they gave creative freedom and they turned out great and after started to interfere and that is when things started to go down.

It's hard to imagine it getting worse than TASM 2.

In regards to people being anxious about either one of the films, I think it's the other way around.

We generally know what to expect with TASM3, but you might have noticed; the element of the unknown, in terms of S6, is driving some people crazy on here.

Agreed.

I both hope, and honestly believe that ASM3 actually will be better than ASM2.

If this ASM2 didn't teach Webb and co, then I don't know what will.

I think it will be, but that's just me hoping, cause you can't predict these things.

I mean I thought TASM2 was gonna be the best thing since sliced bread. Haha.

Honestly, I see a film of similar quality coming. Gwen is gone, so the best part of the first 2 films won't be there (the chemistry between Gwen and Peter), and so far this franchise has yet to find its footing in regard to plotting and villains. I see this being the case next film, only with them needing to introduce a new romance on top of that. But, at the same time, there likely won't be that crappy Electro eating up screentime. So that is a plus.

I fell like sony will stop cutting stuff form the movie witch is the biggest reason asm1 and 2 are not a lot better but at the same time I am wored because even if sony is smart and doesn't cut again you don't have gween like you said and there are so many unanswered questions going into the movie.

Spider-Man needs another Doc Ock caliber villain for TASM 3 to be good. Garfield has been great as Spider-Man, it's time to give him a worthy opponent mentally. Someone that messes with his mind and emotions. Especially after the loss of Gwen, enter symbiote.
