PC controllers to the rescue!
Is that controller actually worth it? I was considering buying it for the roms I do have, but when I actually saw it, it felt really flimzy.

I actually just grabbed a random PC controller picture and posted it. From what I've heard, the best PC controller is actually a wired Xbox360 controller (since it's compatible with PC games). You might want to keep an eye out for anything that looks comfortable and has at least 250 degree analogue sensitivity, though.

Who ever thinks Sony is winning in the handheld race is an idiot. Keep in mind Nintendo has 3 Handhelds out (4 in Japan). Currently in Japan, Nintendo outsells PSP at about a 5 to 1 ratio. In the States, PSP is selling well. When compared to GBA and DS sales combined, not so well anymore. And on a global stand point, PSP is getting raped. And no, its not gaining momentum, if anything its losing momentum. So where ever you read that, I beg you to show me... and I'll show you where I read its losing momentum.

Nintendo owns the handheld market, and it always will, PSP WILL fail, not right now... but it will. PSP will not be around in 2010, not a second version, or third, none at all. I'm not saying that cause I'm a Nintendo fan or anything... software-wise, psp blows. It is getting a bit better, but Nintendo on a software stand point, is blowing PSP away. Just check the games sold stats.

Wrongest statement ever.

First, Nintendo has 2 Portable systems, not 3. And comparing The DS and GBA vs. the PSP is stupid and unfair. That's like comparing the PS2 and PS1 and then going 'round saying it's raping the Xbox. Stupid. :down

I once found a website where you could buy the actual controllers for systems that can plug into your computer. I'll have to Google it.

Considering the Playstation Portable's success at the moment, yes there will be another version of it. Yes it is getting beaten in Japan no one can deny it. You can't say that Sony is winning the handheld war because it is losing the Japanese market to Nintendo, but you can't go off saying that Nintendo has won either considering that its monopoly is now over and has basically lost the North American market to Sony. And you can't combine the sales of the Game Boy Advance with the sales of the Nintendo DS because the Game Boy Advance is practically raping everything at the moment.

Exactly. It makes no sense.

A friend of mine has actually told me that. And I do love the design of the 360 controller.

Actually, smart ass who is lost... they have 3 portable systems.

One: GBA
Two: DS
THREE: GBM (Gameboy Micro for the guy who doesn't know much)

And it is fair, because GBA is handheld market, and is still selling well. Its not last Gen. Nintendo has continuously stated that DS is a third pillar. Its not the end of GBA. Your comparison sucks. Don't bother arguing back unless you know what your talking about. Two protables... HA.

He's right, it is stupid. No one was saying Sony had won the handheld console war. No one was denying that GB has market dominance. But we were directly comparing DS AND PSP. It is clear to anyone with half a brain that Nintendo no longer has a clear cut lead in the handheld market (lets remember Game Boy as a brand has been around for over a decade, and GBA was out WAY before PSP was even dreamt up, so it had a major advantage anyway). DS also had a few months on the PSP.

No one cares about Japan. Ok some people do, but as far as I am concerned, it's a nation of tools. But in North America and Europe, PSP has a strong foot hold (again, it SMASHED the DS in England especially) and Nintendo has a fight on it's hands in those territories.

First, person who is very arrogant and usually wrong. The GBA IS the Micro. It's called the GBA micro, smartass. And If you're deciding to do that, why not include the GBA, the GBA SP, and the Micro? Hmm? See, what you're saying makes no trace of sense. It's like saying the PS2, and the PS2 Slim are two different systems. Another thing, the GBA and the DS ARE different generations. That's most likely why there's only utter shut still being developped for the GBA, very reminescent of what happened to the PS1 a year after the release of the PS2.

So, Jackass, everyone here agrees that you're wrong, just quit.

I think that the DS MIGHT help the Revo... I used to diss the DS and now 'm the proud owner of one, and of the Fragile PSP... stupid Jake the Snake... but at least I can watch Family guy season one or Batman (the Adam West movie)while I'm on the crapper... My borther busted his PSP and now he has a $250 cool looking paperweight... DS is sturdier... but PSP looks more pretty...

Yeah about Jake the Snake....that was a low blow by THQ. Lucky I have a cheat disc so it didn't matter too much :D

United States isn't the world. World wide sales is what matters. And world-wide, DS is outselling the PSP. Japan is a huge portion of the gaming population (I think a third), so before you say no one cares about it, re-think your thoughts. Plus Japan is home to Sony and Nintendo, so thats their battle at home, and yes it is important for both of them. GameCube got smashed worldwide, but the thing that hurt the most was their loss at home. I don't feel like digging up the quote.

And for the guy that thinks hes wolverine (lol), GBM was considering a third handheld in Nintendo's eyes. I get what your saying, and you do make sense... I'm just stating what Nintendo said. They said DS isn't taking anything away from GameBoy. They will co-exsist. Developers arent making much for GBA because DS is the new cool thing, and its selling incredibly well. It isn't last generation.

Trust me when I say, the PSP isn't close sales-wise to the DS. Maybe in certain countries, but certainly not world wide.....

Do you really think I'm arrogant?

The Game Boy Micro is another variation of the Game Boy Advance like the Game Boy Advance SP is too and the Nintendo DS Lite for the Nintendo DS. Yes, Nintendo has said that the Game Boy brand and the Nintendo DS will co-exist but there is no third handheld. In Nintendo's eyes the Nintendo DS is Nintendo's third gaming machine along with their consoles and the Game Boys.

True, but it certainly isn't getting ass raped like some people are saying Nintendo is losing in North America, in a stalemate in Europe, and is winning in Japan.
Most of the sales for the Nintendo DS are Japanese sales because the Japanese market is the biggest market for the handheld market. Hence why the Nintendo DS has a large margin over the Playstation Portable.
You also have to account that the Playstation Portable is doing much better competition wise than the Game Gear, Nomad, Neo-Geo Pocket, Neo-Geo Pocket Color, Atari Lynx, Wonder Swan, Wonder Swan Color, Swan Crystal, N-Gage, and the TurboExpress have. The others weren't even able to dent Nintendo's monopoly on the handheld market while Sony has not only dented it but ended it.

Do you really think I'm arrogant?
No, just don't combine the sales of the Game Boy Advance and the Nintendo DS and compare them to the Playstation Portable.

I just don't agree with that. My reason for that is because its a handheld. Any handheld released will be competition, regardless for how long its been around. Game Gear was around for 7 years before it failed, so we'll see. Game Gear was pretty tough, and I don't recall Nintendo beating Game Gear in Japan as bad as Nintendo is beating Sony. Game Gear was pretty sweet, its too bad it failed.

Something else thats important to note. Japan is known for making the big guy bigger, and the smaller guy... well, not exsist. Example: Playstation 2 is dominating Japans console market. And it continues to do so, and grow larger. While X-Box and GameCube sales keep getting smaller, and smaller. We could be seeing the early phases of that with DS and PSP, only, vice-versa.

No, the Game Gear got owned by the Game Boy in Japan. The Playstation Portable had a decent launch in Japan it at least has a footing, unlike the other compeititors had in Japan, which will be expanded upon when Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII will be released.

Again when the new Final Fantasy is released for the Playstation Portable, I see it catching up to the Nintendo DS.

Yes, very arrogant. For calling people " Smart-asses " when you're wrong, and they're right.

im very excited about revolution, thast the only console i plan on getting, but everyone has been right about one thing, it needs more third party games, espcially really cool ones.

I think one thing Nintendo needs to make known when Promoting the Revolution is the ability to download Classic Games into the Revolution. This will be a MAJOR SELLING POINT especially for Old School Nintendo Fans
No they shouldn't

They already have a lot of third party support.

One game won't take it out of being out sold almost 5-1 in Japan. It will take a lot more then one title, just as it did DS.

It's 3 to 1 and the Japanese love their Final Fantasy.
