The Dark Knight Will the Batmobile return or be completely redesigned?

Fox is done helping Wayne with all of his gadgets, but you never know what could happen with that.

but since Bruce would be on his own and would have to design it, it most likely be a sports car loaded with weapons because i don't think he can design another tumbler, but the sports car idea is a few steps down from the tumbler....

i say rebuild the tumbler!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why would Fox be done designing stuff for Wayne?

Morgan Freeman said him and Michael Caine signed on for a third film he said this on The View so he will be back.

I love the Tumbler, and was sad to see it go. I do hope that if they have a new Batmobile it will be based on the Tumbler. Sorta like a modified Tumbler. Tell me what Batmobile could have torn through that concrete on that parking garage at the beginning of TDK besides the tumbler, and looked good doing it. If the Batmobile from Batman 89 would have don that I wouldn't have believed it for a second. The reason for the Tumbler was it served a purpose. I durable vehicle to use in tough spots, and tough spots require tough vehicles. Why would Batman need to cruise around in a sexy hotrod? He can do that as Bruce. At night Batman wants to be intimidating and powerful. The Tumbler is tough, intimidating, and powerful.:)

We'll just have to wait and see I guess, I love the Tumbler so I cant decide If I want to see a re-designed Batmobile or just an updated Tumbler.

There is nothing in this film that suggests Fox is finished with helping Batman. Go re-watch it.

Ya Batman proved to him when he was done with the Sonar equipment that he was done invading the privacy of all of Gotham, once Luscious put his name in the computer it destroyed the equipment, I doubt Luscious would quit after that, he said he'd do it only one time, and thats all he did.

Personally I'd like to see it return w/ a few slight modifications in terms of look just to distinguish it as being new and to show it's evolved a bit, ya know. But definitely keep the overall look intact.

Just rebuild or and advance tumbler. A car is a no-no. Dark Knight made the showed the difference between his more "normal" rides and his more advance equipment.

Like the Guard said earlier, since Reese found out about the Tumbler, look out for a new design.

one of the good things about Reese now being on Bruce's side is he's in a position to cover their tracks on the books. Anyhoo Bruce will have to do more of the fabrication and stuff on his own. Waynetech can't be linked to his equipment like that. I think a sporty suv 4wd would make a good base to build from. A vehicle that can raise up on it's suspension and do off road stuff but lower itself down and do the street racing stuff too. make it appear like a normal vehicle but it can transform with armor and stuff popping out where necessary.

I think we'll see something smaller in the next film. Something that he can zip around Gotham in without having to runover anything in his way.

That makes no sense considering Reese knows who Batman is anyway so it doesn't matter whether he recognizes the Tumbler or not.

Lucious is not gone...watch the movie again. I didn't catch it the first time but listen to what Lucious says. He says something to the effect of "I will not work here at Wayne Enterprises as long as that thing is in operation." Bruce replies, "Just type in your name when you're done." It is to be assumed that Lucious believed that by typing in his name that that would serve as his resignation. However, we all saw that when he typed it in, the sonar/spy computer destroyed itself. You can see Lucious smirking as he walks away when it's blowing up behind him.

Point in case being, Lucious said that he would not work for Wayne Enterprises as long as the spy sonar thing was up and running...since it is destroyed we can assume that he will now stay working with Bruce at Wayne Enterprises.

Also, the Lamborghini was also destoyed when it was hit protecting the GPD SUV.

And dont forget that Gorden voice over about "restoring faith" as Fox smiled. Fox is not gone.

True, but those documents could still be uncovered by other employees possibly.

ive seen the movie 4 times, and he said he would be resigning after he helped him with the sonar machine, even thought its destroy i dont think hes gonna help him out alot

I would like to see the Tumbler rebuilt. Fox could even add in a few new features this time around knowing that it's being built for Batman and not the military. What's strange is that I really didn't like the Tumbler around the time Batman Begins was first coming out but I've since grown to love it and I was actually a little bummed out when it was destroyed - although the Batpod was equally exciting.

i agree

has anyone played crackdown on the 360? when you get 4 stars in driving the supercar turns into this bullit like hypercar and instead of going over cars it like smashes underneath them! it looks exactly like the batmobile in TAS.

It dosent really make a difference what he knows, I feel he was scared to death by the threat on his life and when Bruce nodded to him after the car crash I doubt he'll have any levrage in the film at all, I doubt he'll even be in it if there is a third. Plus he gave the blueprints back to Luscious anyways.

I'm betting on a new car perhaps a somewhat modified Tumbler, I mean given the fact they have 6 of them, it would be kind of like recycling them.

But I can also see WB allowing Nolan to whatever he wants, sparing no expese what so ever.

You've seen it four times and still haven't payed enough attention to see Fox didn't say that. As long as the surveillance system was in place Fox wouldn't be there. He entered his name at the end and it destroyed it, MEANING HE'S STILL EMPLOYED! As for Batmobile style vehicle...ehh. The only thing about these last two films that have been directly from comic book has been the suit. In terms of protection, lenses, the general look and what not. There is no reason to bring that comic bat style vehicle into Nolan's world. It just isn't logical. The Tumbler is a BEAST and thats what a BEAST like Batman needs, a few adjustments wouldn't hurt though.

I think they should bring back the Tumbler, and put the Bat-pod back inside. Bat-pod is a cool vehicle, but Batman really should drive the Tumbler most of the time because it can really strike fear into the criminal's heart (as it crashes their puny cars).

Whether Fox quit or not (I don't think he did) I don't think that the Wayne Corp will be making much stuff for Batman for awhile. Bruce wouldn't want anything that would be able to associate him with Batman. Or at least I hope they do it that way. If so we'll see Batman and Alfred building more stuff alone.

I think it was more of a hint that Bruce and Lucius will likely be more careful in covering up their tracks. In regards to the Batmobile, this would probably mean a custom-built car, rather than just simply stealing a military vehicle from the shelf.

I think a re-design is in order (something under wraps)...because Reese came too close to Bruce and Fox...they need to make something distent from the Tumbler
