One thing I really want out of the Wii to make it my must have console is to have the knowledge that aswell as Nintendo classics, there will also be adult and gritty games released.

What I mean is... i love Zelda and all, and Wii Sports looks cool. But they're cutesy, you know? I'd like more Nintendo made games with a more adult theme. They can do so much with the controllers. What about that Sadness game? Any more word on that?

I'd love a Silent Hill Wii game. They're releasing a Resident Evil Wii game which is good news.

It's just, when you look at the compitition. Gears Of War, Alan Wake, Assassin's Creed... really great looking games coming out geared more towards an older audience. These games just aren't about graphics, they're also about bushing boundaries of what's possible in a video game world. Larger worlds, more realistic, things that are more interactive, stuff like that.

I wanna know that the Wii can compete on the more adult market.

i doubt any of that will happen. nintendo is very lucky it has a resident. game going to it. nintendo goal is to aimt at moms and non gamers...which imo is just stupid.

and a majority of console developers that can give wii the mature games are looking for powerful consoles the wii does'nt have that. nintendo decided topass on that and now your missing out on games like assasians creed and res 5.(that for ps3 and 360 right?)

There's one title that comes to mind immediately. Well not the title itself, but the game. I believe it was called "Sadness", or something along those lines. It was supposed to be a black and white survival horror with more emphasis on tension than enemies (like the mansion exploration portion of Eternal Darkness). You are able to use objects in extremely varied ways, too, such as using a rope to climb, lassoing objects, or making a noose and setting a trap. Of course, they also mentioned smashing glass with the nunchuck, then using shards to slit the throats of your enemies.

I think Capcom will eventually release Resident Evil 5 on the Wii, depending on the success of Umbrella Corp Chronicles.

I checked gamespot. There hasn't been any word on Sadness in months.

I think there will be more adult themed games, maybe not hard M...but I honestly don't care about that. The Wii will have loads of 3rd party support, so I'm willing to bet there will be some adult themed games in there.

I want to see Bubble Bobble with blood & gore...

I don't care if it's just a side story. I must! I repeat I must own Umbrella Chronicles. :cmad:

I want the Resident Evil goodness on Wii. :cmad:

Heroes, Project HAMMER, MP3: Corruption, Sadness. RE:Umbrella Chronicles, Disaster: Day of Crisis

Because a majority of this world is made up of non gamers? I think it's a very smart move. Plus, if they weren't aiming for non gamers/family, they wouldn't really have anything. Yes, I definately hope there are a bunch of non-family/non-kiddie games coming out, but they definately need to have those too. Look at the DS, that's huge. Doing better than the PSP I believe (someone confirm/deny this?).

The one thing I'm really hoping for (looking like it won't really happen though) is to have minimum shared titles with 360 and ps3. I want exclusive titles (especially for the Wii). But I doubt that will happen with the Wii, or that matter any console ever again...

yeah, because it really didnt work with the DualScreen did it? Its only sold 27 million units :o

No, the majority of developers are looking at lowering development costs. One of the very things Wii provides.

I think the grittiest we have so far in the pipeline is Metroid Prime, Zelda (yes it's gritty in some parts), Disaster. I have need for speed carbon too. It's a good game once the learning curve is kicked in but I wouldn't say its gritty

What, Mario's not gritty enough for you? Oy, you kids and your mayhem. I tell you, that CG version of Pauline in Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2 on DS......gets pretty hot and heavy. :o

Wasn't Twilight Princess supposed to be the darkest Zelda out of all? The Wii is meant to be a system for all ages so there should be games for people with their preferred age. Call of Duty 3 just came out for the wii and I know thats not a kid themed game.
but it would be sweet when they make a silent hill on the wii.

Reggie said he wanted to get Rockstar onboard didn't he? I know he said to expect more adult demographic games for the Wii.

Twilight Princess did suprise me alot at how dark themed it could get (compared to the earlier Zelda games).
