Marvel is closely watching everthing being done for this movie, marketing included. And no, Universal won't **** it up, lol. Yes, it is great here at US. I get to see all the behind the scenes stuff. The trailer will be around the holidays, between TG and Xmas. A teaser might be availble before then. The CGI work is almost if not complete, but they still have to combine all the elements after filming. The Hulk will look outstanding. The F/X guys are amazing. No SM3 crap. You will be happy with the results when you see him.
great

It can't be any worse than Ang Lee's Hulk can it, Eric Banna was ok but Ang destroyed the character in my eyes

Oh man! I can hardly wait!!! I think EmeraldBeast statement answer's this question!

I liked the the first film very much, but I'll admit it had flaws. Therefore I'm sure I'll like this film much more than Ang's movie. I'm sure those who really loved the the first Hulk film, will comparatively, and maybe even reluctantly, more that Ang's work.

I want to know if any New pictures will be revealed soon? Will we at least be able to see Hulk's design at the San Diego, Comic Con?

there will be something there at comic con for sure

you mean they already build the CGI hulk ?

Hard to tell, not enough info. I just hope they don't go for all action and no story. Worst, I don't want any attempts to make this a big screen version of the tv show.

Is LL a fanboy ala Raimi or just a casual fan?

What would be your perfect balance of action and story, in percentage terms? And it would appear he's just a casual fan.

Okay...the things going for this
* Marvel has their hands on this project
* Universal seems to have learned from their mistakes
* All the A-list actors

Bad things:
* LL, sorry but transporter 1 and 2 were terrible imo. And I dont really concider him a visionary as I would Ang Lee
* Zack Penn....ugh!! He did elektra...that is just a scary, disturbing thought
* Hasn't started filming yet :wow:...last I checked, big budget films that start filming really late looks like they had a much smaller budget to work with...just look at X3

So at this point I think its impossible to tell. Everything is balanced out imo, the good and the bad...and now we can only wait for the trailer (not even the teaser...remember how good Hulk 1's teaser was? )
Or at least give us filming pics and set reports.

So awesome to hear. I can barely wait to see the new Hulk design.

one of the best teaser trailers ever.. did what it was supposed to do, tease the hell out of you.

I cannot answer this. Right now, I want the same level of seriousness and tone of the first film, but I want more Hulk action. I'm not sure if the people working on this film will give us. Zack Penn's numerous stupid comments about his contributions and takes on characters hasn't really help build my anticipation for this project.

One of the few times in history the movie didn't live up to the trailer.

As close to 50/50 as possible. I'll settle for 60/40.

More than anything, I want to feel the same way about this film like I feel about the Supes and Spidey films; like I'm watching a live-action, big screen comicbook. I want to feel like the director cares about the characters and knows the characters the way I do.

I cant really say for sure, but form what i'm hearing so far, i'm confident.

Cept without those godawful bloody split screens.

Absolutely. Ang gets big points from me for creativity and vision, but he went to far with the whole psyho-drama aspect. Everytime I started to really get into the movie and enjoy it, Ang's somewhat heavy handed approach would jar me out of the film.

Every time Spider-man was onscreen--especially the Doc Ock and Spidey aerial battles over NY, a smile crept over my face. Even the awkward moments between Peter, MJ and the rest of the characters was enjoyable and a delight to see bought to life in live action.

I want the Hulk to be treated the very same way. I get the feeling from the studios behind these films that they have very little to no confidence in the source material. So much so that they insist on changing things to please or appeal to general audiences--a general audiences that studios seem to truly believe are ignorant of what makes a good movie.

I know Marvel is behind this film, but part of me fears that even Marvel themselves will break down and bastardize their own character for fear of failure.

Still, there just isn't enough info to really begin to form an opinion of where this film is headed. Like Iron Man, I watch this production with guarded optimism and justified pessimism.

Exactly, no one will even tell us whether the hell this thing is gonna be a reboot or not. I'm sick of this retooled semi-sequel quasi reboot ****, make up your ****** minds.

i am reading your post and in nooo way is this balanced IMO.

the good thing is good actors. you do knwo that an actor is good only if the director is good? history to me showed that the best actros act very bad with bad directors.
second you said they have learned from tehir mistakes.......how?
now to the bad things.
LL. i mean he looks likea popcorn director. dont please tell me you or someone else that they want a serious movie with a lot of action and that they hired LL. IMO this will be a summer dumb popcorn movie because LL is the director. but everything can change.
zack penn. dear lord. i am a guy who is saying that you deserve a second change. singer does with superman. but zack penn already showed to me more then once that he is not good.
and for the end : filming hasnt even started. for christ sake it is july.
history again showed that only guys who know what they are doing can do this in such a small time. plus if it would be ILM i would not be afraid but this CGI company doesnt look to me good enough for such a small post time.

to me it looks very bad.

^ I can't say I disagree. The two things that have me worried the most are Penn & LL, who just happen to be in the two most important positions, in particular, for this film. It doesnt matter if the Hulk looks fantastic or not, if they don't show the audience within minutes that this is a completely different & exciting approach while still keeping a somewhat adult theme, then no amount of great acting will be able to salvage the franchise...

It's gotta be better. I'm really excited about what I've heard so far. I get a good vibe from things already.
