Will this be the last one?

I do not think anybody is disputing that but there is such thing as love on the rocks, relationship triangles, breakups and reconciliations.

A good Spider-Man film can still be made with MJ written out of a story(s) for a 1000 different reasons or only having a cameo in later films.

Not every Spider-Man tale has to have Peter coming to the rescue of MJ or involving their relationship.

There NEEDS to be more movies because the greatest story arc of all--Kraven's Last Hunt--has yet to be told.

Lets be realistic, Kraven will look cheesy and campy in the movie. It wont work on screen.

I agree if you have the comic costume. If they update his look and make him a little more realistic that character could work just fine.

I would just have him look like a big game hunter that is ripped.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again..

When the Spidey movies end - and I'm OK with SM3 being the last one with Raimi, Tobey, Kirsten et al - that will be the time for the Spider-Man TV series to kick in. The level of SPFX seen on TV can be enough for a Spidey TV series or mini series if done right. Since Spidey's adventures are best told in a sequential format anyway, this will be the chance to see the comic storylines unfold in a more familiar manner.

Live action shows... even digital shows are flawed... low budget... it is just never good enough... stick with the toons...

If this is the last Spider-Man movie...which it had better be not...I would rather see a cartoon movie or cartoon show rather than a crappy live action POS.

I seriously wouldnt mind if this is the last one, but if i will miss it lol I jus twant more and im betting everyone does. If they do finish with three dont bring in a cheesey tv series lol, Too low of budgets and i bet none of the movie actors will do a show

i agree. all these people who don't want a live action show...be real. you'd all watch it anyway every week. i'd much prefer a cartoon, though.

here's how i see it: this is the last spidey movie with the core cast and director. any other movies i'll consider a different series, if more are made. end of story.

Not really... you tellin me everyone is watching Blade on Spike? Prolly not... a idiot playing Parker with terrible CGI (it's just way too expensive) is something we'd watch for about two episodes of... toons are the way to go... let them be direct sequels to the movies... not ultimate Spiderman... like the star wars clone wars toons leading into Sith... that would be magnificent...

blade is a completely different case. first of all, his fanbase isn't half of what spidey's is. and those stories are lame. and boring. and repetive. there are enough spidey stories that haven't been told to last a lifetime. also, that blade series is a hit for spike. imagine what a spidey show could do.

even if the show was bad, i'd still watch it. because i love spider-man. and who knows? maybe it would grow to be a great show? also...CGI isn't everything. great storytelling is.

i could see a live action show that focuses more on the life of peter parker, and him struggling to find balance in his life. the show wouldn't have to be tons of crazy fight sequences, and it could still be interesting.

but like i said, i'd prefer a cartoon.

The thing I should take back is the toons being sequel shows to the flicks... I don't think that would work since there have not been too many characters established to carry it... MJ, Stacy, Peter, Jameson, Conners are about all... I want to see them do somthing like TAS only better... not just random villains appearing after each episode with no continuity... I want to see some flow and actual character development.

Nah it can't be the last one, there's atleast going to be a SM4 with Venom in it.

boy, you're gonna be pretty disappointed when brock dies in SM3...

Like I said before, I see Raimi doing one more with the same cast, except maybe Dunst since she seems to really not want to do more. The 4th will be the last of this Spider-Man series, and we'll see a relaunch in like 8-10 years (like Batman). If there were to be a 4-6, then I would see them recasting for the 4-6 films (which I'm cool with) and doing another trilogy, like Raimi has done.

Also, I doubt Lizard will be in SM3, since this is an involved movie already.

I can't really judge who will be the villain in the 4th, but I'd say the Lizard should be your central villain, and I would add a side villain. Again, I have to see SM3 before I could make a concept for a 4th.

Brock doesn't die??? I just though the symbiote leaves him.

The symbiote does leave him, but Brock dies.

I think that this will be the last with this cast and director...it might be nice to see what another director will make of the franchise, but still I'd rather raimi stuck with it. In fact if raimi says that he doesnt think theres scope for more....then I'd be just be like....trust the man if he says theres no more story to tell then theres no more story. I mean we all wanted a terminator 3 didnt we? ;)

What's so wrong with a new director and cast, in my mind, no one the star of these films but Spider-Man, people will easily accept a new director and cast, if the movie itself is a good/great one. Why are you people so damn clingy?

Yeah, aslong as they don't get George Clooney. lol. But seriouslly, if the cast is even medicore, A great story can continue the franchise. I Look at The last few Batman Movies minus BB had pretty blah story lines. Superman's last 2 stories sucked to. The whole Bomb thing in the 4th? come on.

I don't think the Lizard/Kraven plot would be good enough to warrant a foruth film with the same director and most of the cast returning... no way it would make 2/3 as much as the original did... wouldn't be a wise decision from Sony anyways... unless they get an even more compelling plot... let's keep in mind Octavious/Molina stole Baker's role... why would they remake the same film with another side villain???

They didn't steal the Lizard's thunder with Ock. Peter didn't hold back due to it being Octavius. We get that conflict with the Lizard. As for a side villain, Kraven would work well with that theme, since Spidey should be kind of protecting Connors.

Go back and watch the DVD if you have it... the interviews confirm it... why do you think everyone was pissed that the chip and tentacles controlled Ock... he was originally good... Parker helped him redeem himself at the end... and how many more mad scientists can audiences take... it's been used... it's not a good enough plot to bring the cast and director back for a finale... I mean look at it... Lizard following GG2 and Venom? Not too much working here... he'd be a good villain to start the new trilogy though for sure...

Peter had no conflict with the fact that Ock was good. He never held back against Ock. He would with Connors, hence forth, no thunder has been stolen.

Your missing the point buddy... the Lizard story line really can't work as a climactic finale for the franchise... you'd have to do a restart... that's why they should end it with this trilogy and do SM4 with the new cast like four years from now if they stil think they can make money... or take a break from the films.
