Will this be the last one?

^They should of held off on there better villains, because using there best ones first will be hard to top.

It should of went something like this:
S-M3:Hobgoblin,Scorpion,(Rhino cameo)Opening sequence could of been John Jameson crash lands the shuttle and JJJ creates the Scorpion to kill spidey because he blames spidey for his son being in the hospital in critical condition.

We could of seen spidey have a tough time fighting Hobgoblin and Scorpion at the same time in the movie somewhere.

Then at the very end of the movie spidey is fighting Scorpion, and Hobgoblin comes flying into the picture, and spidey thinks it's double trouble again, but the Hobgoblin helps spidey defeat the Scorpion. And the cliffhanger could be black spidey. And we could of got a black spidey swinging through the city at the end of the movie.

S-M4:Lizard,Kraven,(Shocker cameo)black spidey uses the symbiote to his advantage to take these two villains out at the same time.Spidey takes the symbiote off at the end of the movie, giving us a Venom cliffhanger.

S-M5:Sandman,Venom(Vulture cameo)

S-M6:The Sinister Six.(Doc Ock,Chameleon,Carnage,HydroMan,Rhino,Mysterio)We could see the Chameleon at the beginning of the movie breaking into a military base and see him freeing villains that the goverment has locked up in a secret base.

With Raimi directing he could do six films and I know they'd be good.

I would want Raimi to stay, but just because Tobey and the rest might not come back, doesn't mean it's the end. There are so many more to tell, and just recast Spidey. Thouhg i think Tobey can come back for one more. But for sure not the end.

nd just recast Spidey

If they recast the main guy then they are better off waiting 10 years or so before doing that. Re casting is NEVER EVER GOOD for any Franchise

I dont know, I'm beginning to think Sony changed their mind and only wanna do 3 now. Why else would Raimi be cramming 3 major villians into one film, as well as a cameo of another? Logically it just doesnt make sense. Why do that if you're gonna do 3 more movies? Methinks they decided to end the franchise, so they HAD to include Venom.

And also if Venom was in S-M4 with Lizard, you can't have Venom in S-M5 with Carnage, people will get bored seeing the same villain in every movie.Moviegoers don't want to see a spidey movie that has the symbiote in every one of them.

You have to give moviegoers different villains that can do different things, that has different stories, and have different looks to them,it keeps everything fresh.

I agree with your last point.

How can't it be good? Why wait that long when all you need to do is find the right person who understands and can be the character he's given. Recasting will always happe no matter what franshise. It's just who can portray that part correctly.

i totally agree. the only exception would be if no one liked who was currently in the role, and you got someone better. like Pierce Brosnan as Bond... anyone?

Venom is supposed to be at the end of the film, who knows where that leads. The film can end to be continued or not. Spidey leads in biggest B.O for Marvel, there's no way imo that this would be that last.

Bond is differnet. They recast after every few Movies. Bond is not the same as something like this. If they re cast the main role without waiting for a long good while then this franchise = dead

What's so wrong with a new director and cast, in my mind, no one the star of these films but Spider-Man, people will easily accept a new director and cast, if the movie itself is a good/great one. Why are you people so damn clingy?

I'm pretty sure that movie sucked because... it sucked. Really bad, in every way.

Which is a shame, because I actually loved the first movie.

First movie kicked ass, but for sure it went down hill after that.

thats because they had no budget and reused film from the first movie, what a waste of a promissing franchise. Lets hope if they decide to make more SM we dont see spiderman 6 turn out like mortal kombat 2 or even worse a movie full of flashback scenes like rocky 4.

I can see it now

Spider-Man 12: Jason Goes To Hell

It would be too bad to have the series end after #3, but it definitely makes sense to avoid the risk of extra sequels (look at what happened to Superman and Batman after their fourth installments). Yes, Dunst said after the second one that she doesn't want to do any more than three, and Maguire is probably heading in a different direction as a soon-to-be father.

Well a new director either means a major departure from the tone of the original movies which can be disappointing especially if the first ones are loved or at least accepted (see Schumaucher replacing Burton on Batman) or they try and keep the same tone but do an inferior job and make a disappointing film that messes up what came before (see Brett Ratner's butchering of the X-Men franchise).

I say this should be it and restart or continue in 10-15 years when people are less attached. As for recasting, it is not an implausible thing but after 3 films people ARE attached to this and the general public DOES see Tobey Maguire as Spider-Man. Sure there can be better Spider-Man (the only choice I could see who would top Tobey Maguire right now would be Topher Grace ironically enough) and to do this takes away their trust or attachment to the characters, and make no mistake the Spider-Man movies are character driven and just no formula driven (like James Bond). And even when using James Bond look at the Bonds who follow the more popular Bonds. Sean Connery WAS or IS James Bond and people were pissed at Lazenby (bad or not) and lukewarm to Roger Moore for the first two or three Bond movies. Then by the time he finished his SEVENTH Bond film, he was Bond to a generation who spat at Timothy Dalton and the franchise went dormant for over half a decade as the new direction was just that....a new direction that audiences weren't ready to accept. Brosnan than could take it in a new direction that people were more apt to jump and he is more loved than Moore was and has replaced Connery for many audience members.

Now we have Mr. Craig getting so much hate because he is not Pierce Brosnan and has got a lot of heat for being different and resentment. Spider-Man is a character much more endearing than James Bond too then. Recasting would steal its steam (at least for the next 5-10 years). Give a break in between Spider-Man 3 and the fourth for 15 years and then have Spider-Man return to a new generation (one that we will hopefully be around for).

That is just my opinion and speculation though.

I think that 3 should end it. Then in 10-15 years I say we'll see a restart or a new spidey franchise. I mean Batman and Superman have restarted, so why not a few years down the road spidey?

Because Spidey doesn't suck like the old Batman and Superman movies. I am sorry but those two franchises only needed a restart/rehash because of how corny and over the top they became. I say if Raimi and Dunst, etc...leaves then give us 4 and we can judge from there.

lets just see if SM3 delivers, the trailer looks awesome but so does alot of trailers.... i am hoping it will be great....but if not then dont further risk killing the franchise and end it at 3
