Will this be the last one?

Raimi can carry on with a new cast only if he goes with Spiderman : 2099 and that way hes got a new cast but same type of spiderman, the budget might blow through the roof though since hed neeed futuristic looking things but it might be as awesome as this trilogy.

I hope Sam Raimi and Tobey Maguire at least will return for the sequel to Spider-Man 3. It seems like they are still very interested in the character. It will be fascinating to hear what they have to say about the Spider-Man 3 sequel when Spider-Man 3 is released next May.

Well, if Kirsten and Tobey comes back, then I will be fine with 4, 5 and 6 parts.

But if they dont, everything will be RUINED!

lets just see if SM3 delivers, the trailer looks awesome but so does alot of trailers.... i am hoping it will be great....but if not then dont further risk killing the franchise and end it at 3
Exactly. Look at the X3 trailer. It was awesome but the movie itself, IMO, was average at best. I just really really hope SM3 doesn't suck.

Wouldn't mind seeing a new director , I like Sam Raimi and if he returned for a 4th that would be fine with me , but look at the Harry Potter movies , they've had new directors and have gotten better each time , that and I still wanna see the Vulture......lol

First, it doesn't work with superhero movies, remember this.

Alien franchise?

Harry Potter franchise are getting better with every new movie ONLY in vissual style.

Just look at Goblet if the Fire, there were so much mistakes in storylines and the editing was poor.

It's not gonna happen... I'd give Rami/Tobey only 20% as well... I'd give one of them coming back 30%... just the the **** on... it's fine the way it is as a trilogy... let someone else **** up the sequels with new casts but let these movies be what they are...

I dont want re-cast and new director, because it will be RUINED!!!

The only logical way in this situation is leave this franchise and ended it with trilogy. But then come back to make the new beginning 5-10 years later.

That's what they'll do (more like 10-15 years)... unless the get greedy and ****e it out for all it's worth in the next three years... so keep your fingers crossed

I am doing it now.

I hope Sony will be smarter with this franchise.

Watch

Mortal Kombat Annihilation

Only two cast members stayed on from the first but it still sucked majorly
Mortal Kombat was a sh:tty movie from the word go...it never should have been made into a film period, no more than Mario Brothers.

I like your way of thinking...except for THE VULTURE part.:o

Screen name sucked makes an excellent point though... just cause the guys return don't mean it is gonn abe a hit... X3 was average but not terrible... could've been great... the Matrix bombed... T3 bombed... Indy 4 might bomb but we don't know yet... look at Rocky 5... even if the actors come back... it don't guarantee success...

Spider-Man 3 will be the last one.....for awhile.

I don't think Raimi, Maguire, or Dunst would EVER return unless their paychecks were the highest in the world.....because after 3 movies, even if you LOVE the characters you're working with more than life itself, you're gonna be tired of directing, writing, or acting in movies about them.

Raimi, Maguire and Dunst are not needed for Spider-Man after the the third film. And actors/directors whom only focus is MORE MONEY, should find out the hard way how much they're not needed by recasting/finding another director. If they're too stupid to figure out that Spider-Man made them the muti-millionaires/big stars that they are, and not the other way around, then they shouldn't be hired back.:o

Put yourselves in there shoes though... they just don't want to be playing the same characters over and over again... money ain't everything... I am happy they gave us 3...

It just got worse after the second one (which was the best in the series), IMO.

I agree, I think Sam Raimi, Maguire and Dunst should move on to other projects after SM3. However, I also feel that the franchise could survive without them. No damn way do I want the franchise to stop at three, just because they don't want to come back.

Just that there is no where else to go for the immediate future... I think they should introduce some new core characters in the next trilogy(Felicia, King Pin, etc) and just start over with w/e is left from the previous three... I also think MJ/Peter should break up or just put things on hold for a while since she won't die just to avoid redundancy

Unfortunately i think this will be the last one with these actors and director for quite some time. Hopefully they will give it a proper ending and leave some doors slightly open.

In S-M4 they could use Chameleon to frame Peter for a crime because spidey has been hurting the Kingpin's organize crime business as spidey.Spidey finds out at the end of the movie that Kingpin found out about his secret identity because someone known as the Hobgoblin approached him and gave him the info for 100 million dollars.

^Chameleon would just play a minor role,Kingpin would play a big role, and spidey would fight him in the movie somewhere. And you could throw in the Lizard and Kraven story into it to make it even more interesting.

Then in S-M5,spidey faces the Hobgoblin and finds out that the person under the Hobgoblin mask use to be Harry's psychiatrist,so that's how he found out about spidey's secret identity, and found the Goblin gear.

^And you could throw in the Scorpion that was created by JJJ because John Jameson got hurt somewhere, somehow, and JJJ blamed spidey for it,so that's why he created the villain.(And throw in a cameo villain somewhere in the movie, like the Rhino)

And in S-M6 Kingpin gets out of jail and creates the Sinister Six to kill spidey, to get rid of spidey once and for all, since Kingpin failed trying to get rid of spidey the first time by framing him for a crime.

maybe they will...*shuddering while throwing this out* make it into a mini series or TV moive somehow...just a nightmarish thought... i mean we are dealing with sony here...

I personally hope its the last, I would rather have a trilogy then risking having some movies that arent good. And if this wasnt the last one, why would they be putting SO much in this one. I think its the last one, so there putting there all into it
I Agree!!! End It AT 3!!! Hey, that ryhmes!

There just is not much further you can go after 3. Raimi will have explored Parker in each film and it has become clear that Parker's journey is the star and not his fight against the villains (some fans love this, some hate it, I'm in the former) and he will have finished that journey after this movie. Sure he can have more relationship problems (something that seems will be mostly glossed over in SM3) and fight cool characters like the Lizard or Electro but it will seem episodic and boring while the first 3 seemed like an on going saga.

I think they need to let this be the conclusion, give the franchise some space and star anew (not an origin but with a world where GG is still around and Peter has more than one gal pal to choose from before he is friggin engaged).

We'll see though.
