The Amazing Spider-Man With Great Power, Comes Great Lounging - Part 10

Anno, these debates really get nowhere with you. I'm done responding to your comments because they are just going to go back and forth forever.

I've never been to the Batboards. From what I hear, that's a good thing. I'm maintaining my innocence, or so I've been told.

It's not scary at all, haha. Unless you come aboard with a very biased view, that's all, lol.

all of the boards are very biased.

I personally rate all three Nolan Batfilms a 8.5/10.

1. Batman Begins - 8.5
2. The Dark Knight - 9.5
3. The Dark Knight Rises - 8.0

Average: 8.6

I still need to see Dredd. I always hated the original film with Stallone and Schneider. Is there any chance of there being a sequel to this movie?
I like that movie
Call it a guilty pleasure if you may, I like its plot at least more than the plot of the new movie

2. The Dark Knight - 9.5
3. The Dark Knight Rises - 8.0

Imo...

Batman Begins - 8/10
The Dark Knight - 9/10
The Dark Knight Rises - 10/10

Yes, yes, I know my rating for TDKR seems "out there", but I'm not the only one that would give it such a high rating and even with its flaws, it's a Batman film I've been rating to see that takes some cues from The Dark Knight Returns and even does Bane properly to make him a great villain for once.

Really? And i missed it :/

Just read over the box office thread and you'll read Marvelite's last post.

I'd give all the Batman movies a 10/10 but Batman Forever with a 9/10.

In my opinion....
Batman Begins - 8.5/10
The Dark Knight - 9/10
TDKR - 8/10

Avengers - 9/10
TASM - 9.5

And yes, my TASM rating is a little biased. :woot:

In order of enjoyment though...

1- Batman Begins
2- The Amazing Spider-Man
3 - Avengers
4 - The Dark Knight
5 - TDKR

So, even though I might give a high rating, I still might of enjoyed one I rated lower more.....if that makes any sense..... :yay:

Batman (1989) - 7/10
Batman Returns - 7.5/10
Batman Forever - 3.5/10
Batman & Robin - 2.5/10

-Batman (1966) - Adam West/10
-Batman (1989) - 7/10
-Batman Returns - 8/10 (somehow Burton taking his Burtoness to the umpteenth level worked with Selina and Bruce's relationship and the ugly penguin).
-Batman Forever - 6/10 (it's not as bad as people remember it as, Tommy Lee Jones + Jim Carry was gold)
-Batman & Robin - ****/10

-Batman: Mask of the Phantom - 8/10 (had to throw that in here)

-Batman Begins - 9/10 (felt the most like a Batman comic book and captured that well)
-The Dark Knight - 10/10 (still had a comic book feel to it but had that crime thriller aspect of it as well that mashed perfectly, great job of bringing TLH to life)
-The Dark Knight Rises - 7.5/10 (tried to do too much with too little time and fell on it's face in some aspects, gets extra points for providing a truly fitting end to the trilogy though).

^ Your score for the 1966 film is Adam West/10? LOL

I ask one person and everyone answers, lol.

But looking at live-action only films of Batman and all of them.

1.) The Dark Knight Rises
2.) The Dark Knight
3.) Batman Begins
4.) Batman ('89)
5.) Batman Returns
6.) Batman Forever
7.) Batman: The Movie
8.) Batman & Robin

If we were to take in animated films, Mask of the Phantasm would round my top five, but between Batman Begins and Batman ('89). Other animated favorites are SubZero, Under the Red Hood, The Dark Knight Returns Part 1 and Return of the Joker(Batman Beyond).

Mask of the Phantasm is the best in my eyes. Year One and Under the Red Hood are great films as well.

EDIT: But if I had to choose live-action I'd probably pick Batman Returns

He was the man back in the day lol.

I wouldn't throw those in since they're direct adaptations of the comics.

Which reminds me, have you ever seen "Return to the Bat Cave?"

Really wasn't a fan at all with Year One, and can't really put my finger to it with the biggest reason why.

Oh well, I did anyways. :p

I liked the focus on Gordon. Who I think may be my favorite protagonist in the Batman mythos(plus I'm a big fan of Gary Oldman hehe)

It was sorta because of the focus of Gordon, but I think the loose adaptation of Batman Begins dealt with the mythology from Year One so much better.

Which reminds me, have you ever seen "Return to the Bat Cave?"
I haven't seen the whole thing though I've watched some clips of it on youtube.

Everyone loves Batman.

I feel you on that. I think it was the pacing that felt off to me. It was like it was just going through the motions.

I was looking through the Spider-Man Ultimate Guide in Barnes & Noble, and really reminded myself of how much I love Spider-Man. From his powers, personality, rogues gallery, and intriguing story arcs, he really is my all time favorite. I love X-Men, the Hulk, Iron Man, the Fantastic Four, the Punisher, and DC Heroes like Batman or Superman, but none of them really come close to how much Spider-Man means to me.

He's the hero I can really relate to. He doesn't buy or build incredible gadgets (other than his web shooters or spider tracers), he isn't a rich playboy, and although he has powers, he isn't THAT powerful. Spider-Man is the everyman.
