First episode of Tron: Uprising is online and it looks fantastic. :wow:

Nope :( i cant find one that will play in Region 2 :(
same story for a Batman TAS set i was looking at and Freakazoid too
:csad: Maybe you could get a region one dvd player? Or would that be too expensive? If not, the first 25 episodes of Animaniacs are on iTunes. Most of Batman: TAS and all of Freakazoid is on there too.

It'd have to beat Titanic first. That itself would be a feat.

Hrm...I honestly don't see TDKR beating Avengers, although I can see it make as much money, but...I doubt any CBM so far will beat Avengers, lol.
The way things are going, it's got a very good chance of beating it.

way things are there's no room on my setup desk for another :P

and this is where i reveal to the world that i own no apple products...

You don't need an Apple product to watch stuff you've got from iTunes. lol

oh i know that troy (that is where i watched the latest trailer ;) )
that was more just me saying i dont own any apple stuff (not out of any stance against apple, more so in protest against having an empty wallet)

Oh, right. :funny:

And yeah, I own an iPhone, but I don't think a lot of Apple's stuff justifies the cost. lol

I have an iPod Touch; I think it's the newer version. I'm not sure, they seem to make a new one every 6 months.

The Avengers is really raking in the dough. It's already made a billion dollars. Anybody else starting to think it has a chance of beating Avatar as the highest grosssing film?

No, but I think it has a chance of being the highest grossing Marvel film. Maybe even the highest grossing comic book film. It's already made nearly the same amount of money worldwide in a little over two weeks that The Dark Knight made in over 8 months.

EDIT: As of today, it's crossed the $1 Billion mark!!! :wow: :woot:
That, along with the high quality kick-ass series currently run say something about Avengers
Maybe it was wrong of me to ignore the comics, I love the show, and might adore the movie

Saw The Avengers again. My $20 for two tickets for my two showings went to that 1 billion!

I saw TSSM and the Sam Raimi trilogy way before I started reading the Marvel Masterworks books, so you're not the only one that does that kind of thing.
Also, I've enjoying my CatDog Season 1 Part 2 dvd. My only complaint is that I wish Shout! Factory wouldn't use the same stock art over and over again. It'd be nice if they took the time to do use different stock art for each dvd case and menus. They probably could too since it's usually several months before the next dvd comes out and they had the creator of Rocko's Modern Life do the cover for seasons 2 and 3. Don't know about the menus though since I don't have that. Don't know if they could do the same for CatDog, but I'm sure somebody could do some new stock art. Although, I'm pretty sure not a lot of people really care about stock art, but still.

But for DareDevil and other characters I didn't need a tv show or a movie to read their comics
Used to think of Avengers a boring thing

That's good, but cartoons and movies do help get new fans for comics. If not for TSSM or the movies, I probably wouldn't have read the Spider-Man comics or have gotten into Spider-Man at all. So what did get you into The Avengers?

Nothing really, not even Spider-Man joining the team, cause he comes like a useless idiot

The New Avengers got me into the Avengers in general. Not that big of a fan, but I like them.
For something like Spider-Man, the cartoons and movies definitely got me into reading the comics. Especially the 90's series and the first Spider-man film. After that I read whatever I could get my hands on, which wasn't a lot at first, but luckily the library in town has a graphic novel and comics section :D

I was reading a programming book, suddenly all those ideas popped up to my head, if a new Spider-Man cartoon was to come instead of this time wasting product called "Ultimate Spider-Man", something taking some cues from the 90s cartoon, Spectacular Spider-Man, the new movie, Ultimate and original comics. Greg Weisman for a creative consultant and story editor, and Josh Keaton to voice Spidey

For starters, Spider-Man is the only superhero, no other heroes available, but references can be made to locations like Wakanda, materials like vibranium and adamantium, characters like Stark & Storm, comic readers could get nods to them here and there, but no Iron Man or cosmic stuff

Costume would look somewhat different, gloves are shorter and the web shooters would be thin and made inside the glove, they are flexible to put on and off, and the material is strong enough to handle the constant bending even when it's fully stuffed. To attach the web shooters the gloves can be open like the mask in the Raimi movies

Origin would be decompressed, could take two or three episodes. Peter gets bitten by Oscorp spider injected by the Oz serum in the leg, Peter shrugs it off, and his luck is he's not under surveillance camera when it happens, so not something early for Norman to discover

Building the costume would be like the movies, thinks of designs and draws them, puts plenty of practical considerations before deciding the final look, and ends up with something notably different from the classic costume, but still retaining its main characteristics

The decision comes to take use of his newly found powers for his benefit, he goes to show biz, and a thief does pass by him, but instead of being arrogant or seeking revenge he pushes the thief back (cue from "What If Spider-Man Never became a crime fighter?" story) based on the good nature he was raised on by Ben & May, not controlling his strength he pushes the thief too hard and it makes him hit the security guy and push them both to the wall distant behind, Spidey becomes embarrassed and apologetic, but doesn't leave show biz, instead he tries to be more responsible using his strength if needed, and takes a chance in stopping small crimes on his way to work or heading back home

The thief eventually recovers, and does go to Ben Parker's house and kill him. When Spidey confronts him the burglar confesses about a stolen treasure he heard rumors about in that house, Spidey gets angry and punches the wall near the head of Carradine hard enough to make a hole in it, avoiding killing him in frustration, and giving him away to the cops

Rumors turn to be kinda true, but Carradine took the wrong house, the treasure is found in a neighboring house instead.

Spidey is quite experienced in holding back his strength, but that anger makes him leave show biz after a while on his own, deciding he should make more good use, thinking how many could die when he could do something about it in his spare time, educating himself in the line "With great power, comes great responsibility"
Sorry if my version for an origin is unlikable to some degree, or is unlikable in certain points, but I would try to give the show a focus

Anyone watch Doc Martin? Sitting here and watching an episode of it now.

Never heard of it, id that a cartoon or live action?

I cant imagine there ever being a Daredevil cartoon, which is a shame as he's one of my favourites
