It will suck as a PG-13.

If its filmed R, it must stay R. Otherwise it loses all the value.

If they cut away when someone gets murdered then the entire scene is cheaped.

The trailer looks pretty good, but I'm very, very concerned about the supposed reshoots changing the way the Wolfman looks. Every shot of the Wolfman I saw looked CG, and I'm really hoping they're keeping the Rick Baker make-up aspect of the Wolfman we saw in the early photos. If I see the movie, and the Wolfman is all CG, then my heart is going to sink like a stone.

Hoping for an R rating. Nowadays though, everything seems to be PG-13.

That's an exaggeration, i hope. The Wolfman is not all CG. Nothing about him, save some or most of the transformation, is CG. He's all make-up. That's Benecio Del Toro covered in fake hair and tattered clothing running around ripping out peoples' intestines and howling over London.

Disagreed. Not every film needs to be rated R. And with this film, especially with re-shoots, it could go either way. It could be a great R film, or it could be a great PG-13 film. Re-shooting a horror film as PG-13 allows for alot of insinuation and use of imagination, which in my opinion, is also very effective for scaring the **** outta people. Of course, if they reshoot for PG-13, and it doesn't even come close to that, i'll gladly rip this film a new one.

All those Hammer films, atleast before the late 60's/early 70's, are by today's standard at least PG-13, especially the first few Frankenstein and Dracula films. And they're STILL scary as hell. If the Wolfman remake can get inventive with it's re-shooting as a PG-13 horror film(if that's why they're re-shooting), it could still be great. Remember, The Dark Knight was PG-13, and that was pushing it. There's no reason The Wolfman can't be the same.

Horror films do. Unless they're dealing with ghosts...well, actually no, unless they are directed by Sam Raimi, all horror movies NEED to be R.

And yes, it does need to be R. PG-13 would be boring.

TDK pushed nothing. Well...aside from Two Face, but all the violence in the movie was all off screen. While it worked, there would've been no reason for it to be R anyway.

Some of you calm down about the look of the werewolf! If you noticed, the beast that attacked Benicio was more wolf looking than manwolf looking. Also, it seems that Benicio himself changes to more wolf like as time progresses. So, I can assume that the longer the curse has him, the more wolf like he will become aka loosing his humanity. Just my opinion.

I thought alot of you were paranoid when it came to the re-shoots, but the more i think about it, the more i agree. When has a movie been good+ when it's had a lot of re-shoots? Off the top of my head i remember Hancock having re-shoots, and we all know how that turned out. :csad:

Plus the fact that this movie keeps getting pushed back IS bad. I remember being excited about Watchmen, then it kept getting delayed. The longer the delays, the more interest i seem to loose in a movie. The good thing about it is that the general public doesn't really know about this movie..until now.

Does anyone get the feeling that
the original werewolf that apparently killed people 25 years ago and attacks Larry is Hopkins
?

I think that is the case. I'm not a fan of that idea. Maybe that twist, but seeing him turn into it wouldn't be good.

And this thing should be R. Why? Because it was suppose to be rated R in the first place. I know about effectiveness, but christ, for once can't we have a good remake or a horror movie that's rated R for once? My god...

The CC trailer had a dude's throat being torn out and someone in half with his guts hanging out. And the imagry looks disturbing enough. PG-13 is too tame for something like this.

Watchmen wasn't delayed.

A lot of movies have reshoots. Going back to make a few scenes work better, beefing up some action, etc. Nothing wrong with that in theory. But, I don't know of any movie that's ever been completely salvaged with reshoots.

The changing release date is more worrying. Yeah, it happens, although usually not as dramatically. It's almost always a sign of lack of confidence in the product if its in the can already. Valkyrie was shuffled around and ultimately did fine, but you could tell the studio was worried about its performance for a long time. There are exceptions. Titanic was pushed from Summer to Winter, but that was because it wasn't complete. Harry Potter was moved from Winter to Summer to fill a hole in the schedule. But, I can't help but think that there's a lack of confidence here. Why not just go with a Halloween release otherwise?

The change in dates meant for the reshoots to finish and their effects.

Yeah, if only they spliced together the first half of this trailer and the second half of the CC trailer, the film would give off a better and scarier vibe saying this will be scary ****. Hopefully a redband trailer comes.

they better not make him look cg. the only thing in the movie that should be cg are the transformation scenes and thats it.
