If its a UK poster it might be mean Feb 12, 2010.

Dude, 12.02.10 = 12th February 2010.

Most non Americans have the day date 1st, then the month, followed by the year.

I agree. I mean, I'll give Sommers points for trying to do something original and it was better than the vampire teeth morphing into needles but in the end, cgi gore is cartoonish.

we number the month first because when we say the date we say February Twelfth, not the Twelfth of February

Little endian sequential form (Day/month/year) is used by the majority of the world. The USA (and a very select few other countries) use middle endian sequential form (Month/day/year).

So, America uses the sequence that hardly anyone else uses and makes less sense. Go figure. (I'm joking, of course )
