Comingsoon.net currently has a poll going on its homepage listing most anticipated 2010 movies coming out before summer.
Wolf Man is behind Alice in Wonderland and Clash of the Titans.

This, my fellow Wolf Man fans, is unacceptable.

I know these polls don't really mean much, but, come on! Wolf Man behind these movies?
I actually like Clash a lot and will see it next year, but it doesn't belong ahead of Wolf Man! No way!

Whoa, these latest couple posters are awesome... can't wait for HQ's to show up. I knew sooner or later one of the posters would actually be good

I think this is my fave so far. It's pretty vicious, even though his body isn't positioned properly to be in perspective with the trees around him.
But it's a great poster.

His face just looks terrifying. How would you like to have that creature bearing down on you? *shivers*

He looks pretty terrifying. Which is good. We don't have enough monsters that are genuinely frightening.

At work we got these Wolfman figures in. They're about 7 inches and it's just Wolfman (from the remake). Totally cool looking, covered in blood and all that fun stuff. I bought one.

It's a shame Danny Elfman's score was dropped. I mean, c'mon, the guy is the reigning king of Gothic horror scores thanks to his movies with Tim Burton. And now that he couldn't tweak it to the studio's satisfaction... :(

Paul Haslinger scoring The Wolfman... ick.

Damn, I want one! Mind if I ask, where' do you work? I might call around a couple of places in town to see if they got anything.

Yeah I'm sort of over Danny Elfman. Besides his score for Hellboy II, you can tell it's him and not in a good way. One trick pony kind of thing.

But still - Paul Haslinger? :o

Danny's work on Hellboy 2 and Terminator Salvation was just AWFULLY generic.

I didn't say his scores were outstanding, I just said you couldn't tell it was Danny Elfman at first hearing.

that's why I said generic!

Seriously, Hellboy 2's score was so forgettable that I was in shock when I found out it was Elfman.

Elfman has done great scores in recent years. Case in point: Wanted.

Elfman is pretty bland anymore, IMO. I think it's time to give some new blood a chance to make an impression.

Elfman's score seem to be better when they're very un-Elfman like. I think the Milk score is great, and the Wanted one isn't bad either, but The Terminator Salvation and Hellboy II scores were completely disappointing, and in not using the themes for the two franchises (Using the just the opening part of the Terminator theme doesn't count!) He showed to me a massive ego!

Have they decided on a new composer yet? Marco Beltrami may be good. He's gotten much better and has shown more range over the last few years.

Figure this thread is appropriate, as giving it it's own thread might go largely ignored. It's a sad day for die-hard werewolf fans and euro-horror fans everywhere. Paul Naschy has passed away. He was primarily known for playing lycanthrope Waldemar Daninsky, often called "The Spanish Lon Chaney". He is also perhaps the guy who started the entire Euro-Horror movement, but that's arguable. He wrote, directed and starred in his films. While his movies aren't the greatest, they show a level of dedication almost unmatched by anyone i've ever seen. The man truly loved what he did, and regardless of quality, his films are incredibly fun to watch and enjoy.

Time to dish out my DVDs and spend the weekend watching them. This sucks.

Didn't Elfman do the MIB theme? The opening and closing themes are his best stuff to me.

I am stunned and heart-broken. You are right on all fronts, thanks for the update, CrimsonMist.
