Wolverine and X-men Anime Series Comings

The character designs for the X-Men anime are now online. I love their take on Storm. But I wish they kept Wolverine short instead of the same height as Cyclops. Why are they making him taller now?

I love how Wolverine looks in this. I like the artists that make him look really rough and at times scary rather than rugged, but kinda handsome.

I have been waiting for these Animes for what feels like forever and I honestly didn't think they would be out till much later this year.

So far I have watched 6 episodes of Wolverine and 1 episode of Iron Man. I think both are awesome, quite like it that they are subtitled at this stage.

X-Men looks like it is going to be the best though! Can't Wait!

Hmm. Looks like they will have different costumes. The trailer has them wearing different costumes than the designs shown in the links online. For example in the trailer Cyclops has a hood and Wolverine has a mask.

Looks like Professor X is in it as well. But the team looks like it will be Ellis' Astonishing team of Wolverine, Cyclops, Beast, Storm, and Emma Frost. Armor will also be in the series going from reports.

Still I'm happy we are getting another X-men animation.

FYI, the new Wolverine anime is basically based on the classic Claremont/Miller miniseries. The Iron Man anime was sort of a movie-inspired off-shoot but it's not directly tied to the movies. Case in point Wolverine making an appearance in the Iron man anime.

I think Marvel.com said that Iron man and Wolverine will air on G4 some time later this year.

That appears to be from a flashback, because the X-Men are said to be broken up at the beginning of the series.

i don't like the design of the costumes on Logan and Cyke they look bad Beast and Storm look good though kinda excited for this one. And Professor X has a huge head

I'm still excited about the series nonetheless. The clip looks promising and this is the only X-men animation we are getting for a while since Wolverine and The X-men are dead. Even though that show is dead we are getting this show which will at least tell a singular story in 12 episodes. Who knows when we will ever see another solid X-men animated project after this.

*sigh* I feel exactly the same way. I would love a strong cartoon like Wolverine and the X-Men but with as much support behind it from Marvel like the new Avengers cartoon. It will happen eventually, I'm sure.

As for the anime, I'm very excited to see how this plays out. Hopefully we will see some minor characters who have never before been animated, but I won't hold my breath...

I really hope we hear some familiar voices when it's time for dubbing.

I also hope that Storm plays a strong role in X-Men anime. As much as I love the movies and cartoons of the last decade, it still sucks to see her get sidelined as much as she does.

Well I don't think Armor had been animated before even though she's a pretty recent character. However she might've popped up in Wolverine and The X-men. Don't remember all the little cameos as much.

I think Marvel is good about bringing back a lot of the familiar talent voicing the characters so hopefully they will get like Kari Wahlgren as Emma, Steve Blum as Wolverine, Fred Tatasciore as Beast, etc. I interviewed Steve a couple years ago and he loves anime and would love to work on these shows I'm sure.

My #1 wish is for Rachel Summers to show up in a cartoon. She had a very brief background cameo in the 90's cartoon, but that hardly counts IMO.

Hope so -- Steve Blum has the perfect voice for Wolverine. I'd like to see Nolan North back as Cyclops too.

North came back to do Deadpool in MvsC3 and Blum came back to do Wolverine there and Wolverine in Avengers. North plays one of the Asgardians in Avengers as well. I'd say its a good chance they will all be brought back if they dub it.

James Howlett had a cameo as a soldier in WWII with Cap. He hasn't made an appearance as Wolverine yet, but I'm sure it will happen eventually.

I apologize if this is considered double-posting, but the final episode of the Wolverine anime came out today, and it was preceded by a new X-Men anime trailer. I don't know how to upload pictures, but there's a shot of Beast, Wolverine, Cyclops, Phoenix, and two others that I can only assume are Emma and Storm. The video I watched was super fuzzy so I can't tell for sure. Anyone else see it?

is Avengers worth checking out? I'm watching X-Men: Evolution right now. I have to say that I do enjoy this take on the X-Men. Then I got Wolverine and the X-Men the complete series for my bday which is awesome.

I'm interested in seeing this anime. I'm also interested in watching the Wolverine and Iron Man. Was the Iron Man any good? Cause I've heard a couple of different opinions bout it. It'll be cool when we get to the dubbing who we'll get for these projects.

thanks. ill definitely check out Avengers EMH. with that do you start with the micros or breakout? also finally got Astonishing X-Men motion comic. I took look at it the other day and have to say that it looks pretty awesome. Im hoping they'll do the remaining 3 Whedon arcs in motion comic.

If this has the lineup of Ellis's Astonishing, I'm definitely looking forward to this. Is there any superhero animes out there that's good, btw?

Unfortunately, no. Unless you count Omega Red?

Chronologically, the micros come first. They follow the individual characters before they join the Avengers. Then the Breakout is the first episode with the Avengers as a team.

Hmm, I don't know of any. Superheroes seem to be more of a Western thing. I guess stuff like Dragonball Z can be considered "superhero"?

I guess the Guyver: Bio Booster armor could count? It's about a symbiotic alien armour that bonds to a highschool student. Things get pretty dark and hairy after that.
