I'd say it's already off to a better start than Iron Man and Wolverine.

I especially enjoyed seeing [BLACKOUT]Magneto, Juggernaut, Stryfe, and Mystique[/BLACKOUT] in the closing credits but I don't know if that means they'll factor into the story. Hope so!

That was epic! They illustrated the Phoenix's power in such an apocalyptic manner. Excellent!

So far it seems that this show is far more promising than the other Marvel animes: I love the character designs and artwork (Storm looks soooooo awesome!) I really enjoyed it, even though I don't speak a word of Japanese. Looking forward to the subbed version, which I hope it will be up soon.

Now, if they only had Gambit, my life would be complete

I am left speechless after the first scene. I always wanted to witness an X-Men anime series, and still don't entirely believe it's actually happening. Now my only regret is they didn't cover the X-Men mythology chronologically from the beginning in this style. They just know how to make an epic scene and the first 5 minutes proved that. Something other animated series simply can't achieve. X-Men deserve this!

Finally saw the subbed version. Awesome. I am a bit surprised how similar the plot is to Wolverine and the X Men, with mopey Scott and all (hopefully this will be handled better here). Looking forward to Emma showing up. I also sat through the end credits this time, and I hope everyone who is there shows up. That would be so fab!

Who wants to bet that the Phoenix will return by the end of the story?

This X-men anime will kick ass
love the ending sequence
But I prefer costumes from comics


I was disappointed about Wolverine'anime, no Sabretooth whereas he made a little appearence in ending.
But introducing Omega Red and Cyclops was cool!

It looked more like a montage of past villains to me (the team was wearing the older uniforms), so I wouldn't expect those guys to show up but if they do, they're welcomed surprises.

Cyclops have great role for each marvel anime universe, not like X2 X3 movies

In ending sequence we cansee Juggernaut Mystique Stryfe and Magneto. I hope they'll appear in serie.

Great episode I think Madhouse should produce all western marvel shows I don't think they will have any production issues or delays.My dream is for Madhouse to produce a 65 episode western x men show.

Awesome animation. I can't wait to see what they do with Gambit (if he appears). You know, Cyclops fans must be pissed in the same way that Gambit fans get pissed. He's ALWAYS moping about Jean onscreen.

And am I the only one who is sick to death of the Phoenix Saga?

I've seen the first four episodes now, and I have to say, I am starting to lose interest. I don't know whether it's the writing (never read Ellis' stuff), the voice acting or if it's a cultural thing inherent in anime, but I find it difficult to connect to these X Men. Everyone, except maybe Wolverine, has a cardboard box personality, and I find it difficult to care at all about any of them. It's not the most interesting team line up to start off with, but there is no classic Emma sarcasm, and Storm is coming off as weak as she was in WTXM. I really like the animation, and the story has potential, but I feel at times I'm watching a complete different group of superheroes than the XMen. Their interactions just seem off somehow. I'll hold off final judgement until I see the English dubbed versions, but this show seems to be going down the same road as Iron Man and Wolverine. Which is a real pity.

Yeah, that's what I'm hoping. I'm all for subtitles, which I generally prefer (I like things in original language) but I have a feeling Japanese is not doing me any favors here. I can't tell if it's just bad voice acting or the language itself. Anyone here speaks Japanese and can give me some insight?
