Apocalypse Wolverine - The Horseman Death (Or maybe not...)

agreed with your logic and pov on everything but this. NC and raven are two of the deepest characters in all of Comic book movie adaptions, period.

Maybe depth was the wong term.

What I meant was a more involved background.

I mean, Mystique is a great character in the movies, but all we really know is:

1. She grew up with Prof. X.
2. She grew up hiding her appearance and felt ashamed of that.
3. She had feelings for Beast.
4. She left Prof. X and the X-Men to join Magneto
5. She likely had/has feelings for Erik
6. She has had a mission of protecting her fellow mutants.
7. We assume that she had a child with Azazel, but we don't know the details.

For Nightcrawler, in this new timeline, we really don't know anything. We can assume some things though, like:

1. He was orphaned as a baby.
2. He grew up in the circus (we hope).

Other than his powers, everything else is up for grabs. We don't even know if he'll be overly religious or not. (I hope not)

So, IMO, a storyline that gets into the familial status and situations of Mystique and Kurt, and that would have them show emotion and possibly regret, could be amazing.

I hope that Mystique saved wolverine in order to recruit him for her own team which should be XForce. I can easily see a Mystique led XForce joining forces with Magnetos Brotherhood and Xavier's X-Men in order to take Apocalypse on. It would also be a way to spin off XForce after the FC trilogy is complete.

While I think they need to setup X-Force, I don't think Mystique is the character to do it. It's a good suggestion though. They may do something with the Maurauders and the mutant massacre. Apocalypse could brainwash Wolverine Mystique Gambit and another Horseman, to kill less evolved mutants.

With Xavier recruiting his team, and Magneto being humiliated in public, you do wonder what ramifications it will have on future lineups. But I don't see Mystique building a long established team together. She may have gotten Wolverine out as a favor to Xavier.

What I'd really like to see is this:

- Mystique is/was aware of Apocalypse and/or Sinister (if he's involved) and knows what is coming. She retrieved Wolverine for Apocalypse (or Sinister) in order to protect her fellow mutants. In other words, she was promised that the other mutants would be protected if she did this (or something like that). From her point of view, it's a needs of the many (her mutant bretheren) over the needs of the one (Wolverine).

I could see it being that she is recruiting for her own Brotherhood of Mutants, who will need to join the fight against Apocalypse, but I'm trying to come up with a way where Wolverine ends up being a Horseman, and Mystique saving him in order to give him over would accomplish this.

- For Wolverine, I want him to get his adamantium back. The two easy ways are either have Styker (Mystique) make him go through the process or have it done by Apocalypse (or Sinister). If they make Wolverine a member of Mystique's Brotherhood, then it's just more of the same stuff. But if they turn him into Apocalypse's Horseman Death then it would be something we've never seen from Jackman and from the character in the movies. I think this would appeal to both the audience and to the actor.

- Magneto has come to the conclusion that there can not be peaceful coexistence and rather than go to war with humanity the best course of action is to create his own society for mutants. He creates Genosha, or maybe he goes right to the Space Station Avalon.

I could see him coming to the X-Men and inviting them (and Charles) to leave with him. No one goes, of course, but maybe some (like Pietro) think about it. Actually, maybe Quicksilver goes (he's too powerful to be used throughout the movie as an X-Man). But just imagine Magneto standing on the top of some mountain and then using his powers to rip the peak off and then turn it into a livable paradise that he then loads with those mutants who wish to go with him and propels it into orbit. This would give Mags a good storyline and set up a very usable storyline for another movie where the X-Men would need to go into space to save Magneto, Avalon and the good mutants from Cortez and the Acolytes.

- Professor X is doing what he promised Wolverine, he's searching for Scott, Jean, Storm and the others and bringing them together at the mansion so they can be trained in the use of their powers. Yes, there would be some of the same type of things as we saw in First Class where Professor X teaches his students, but wasn't that what made First Class so good? And with Beast we have the ability to have the Danger Room and maybe Scott's ruby quartz glasses. What I really want to see is Professor X (and beast) going out and making contact. Maybe finding Scott just when his powers manifest, helping him psionically to keep his eyes shut tight. This would get him to the school where Beast could invent the glasses. Jean is brought there as well. For speed, I guess both of them could already be there. But what I really want is to see Professor X (and the others) go find Nightcrawler.

- For Nightcrawler I want the young, fun, swashbuckling circus performer. I want to see him spinning and flipping on the trapese in a European circus. Maybe make it where he is forced to expose his powers, maybe in order to save a young child, forcing him to have to leave with Professor X. At some point I want him weilding three swords.

- For Storm, I want to see her in Egypt. I want to see her as a street thief who possibly meets Gambit, the ultimate thief. How fun would it be to see her try to steal from Remy, who tracks her down and takes an interest in her. If we must have Gambit then make him have a "big brother" relationship with Storm. Have her follow him to a pyramid or some ruins where we get into the whole Apocalypse thing. Apocalypse could be in one of his regeneration chambers and is awoken early because of Storm (by accident). This leads to both professor X (and the others) finding her (and Gambit) and bringing them to the mansion, as well as the emergence of the main threat, Apocalypse.

In my opinion, if they ever get to X-Force, Mystique should have nothing to do with it. X-Factor? Maybe, but not X-Force. That is where we should see Cable, Domino, and hopefully some of the new Mutant characters like Boomer and Cannonball!

all that and you did not even mention the plot.
maybe a sentence or two about APOCALYPSE. btw the which is the title of the movie.

Though, I do believe we can take some pointers from here. The most important part of this film is an excellent plot. Apocalypse and his motives are of utmost importance.

So where do we start?

After the introduction to En Sabah Nur in egypt we fast foward to the X-men in the 80's. Xavier is pushing his prized students, Cyclops, Storm and Marvel Girl (yeah that's right I said it) to their limits in his danger room. It's here we see the big 3 are more developed then they ever where in the original film. Marvel girl using Psyionic shields, and having more capabilities with her telekinesis. Cyclops and Storm, both more efficient, powerful and accurate with their projectile blasts. Despite this the simulation wins, almost killing them.

Beast interjects complaining that Xavier is taking it to far in front of the weary students. Thats when Xavier gives in and allows the team to see with his telepathy the future he's seen. He lets everyone know that they are Humanity's only hope from themselves and Mutants only protection from threats like Sentinels. They can not risk being taking things lightly. Cyclops seconds this and also brings up Genosha, to see what Professor thinks of the country. This is where we get Beast to give our intro to it:

I agree with Genosha. However for me it has to be a recently established country. Built right after the events of Magneto's assault on DC. 10 years later its a striving community that has publicly welcomed mutants and humans. They have a tremendous energy and manufactoring export industry and quickly become a Global financial power.

Unfortunately, Professor X is worried about that place. When using Cerebro the entire island is shrouded. Also their quick rise to financial power makes him believe they are cutting corners somewhere or doing some illegal activity. This leads to their next mission. In some conference many representatives of many nations will attend. Genosha will be sending one of their leaders as well. The X-men are to attend undercover with the goal of Jean Grey getting close enough to read the mind of the Genosha leader and seeing if she could pull any information loose.

The leader is Nathianal Essex and Jean Grey can't read his mind at all. Furthermoore, Essex annouces that Genosha will inaugurate their first Prime minster and Department of Defense leader in the next coming days to the applause of the crowd. Afterwards, As they are departing the four X-men are ambushed by Nathianiel and his henchmen. One of them is a samurai with an admantium sword. They are not a match for the X-men but happen to kidnap Beast.

Weary when they return the X-men deliver the bad news to Xavier. He reads their mind to see what happened and immediatley recognizes the samurai swords man as Logan. Xavier promptly informs the X-men they must head to Genosha to discover what happened to Logan as he has a promise to keep. They are interrupted when the students tells the X-men there is something they have to check out on TV. Genosha reveals their Prime Minister to be En Sabah Nur and Department of Defense General is Wanted Fugitive and US Public enemy number # the terrorist Magneto.

Soon after the mansion is entered by a wounded Mystique who is in tears.
She and Remy Lebeau have escape the island of Genosha and have the startling truth. At Genosha Apocalypse has given Sinister the freedom to maximize the enslaved mutant's powers to hasten and maximize their export ability. They are also manufacturing weapons and armor for Apocalypse's massive army. Cyclops and the team are in discussion about what to do and how to act. He advises that the team should wait until the Goverment announces their course of action.

Genosha's announcement immediately launches the US goverment to demand that Genosha hand over Magneto are face military force in the next 24 hours.

Storm hints that if Magneto is anything like she saw on TV years ago, the government has no check for him and that the X-men should somehow be involved. Cyclops reminds the team that until the Govermnent officially endorses them, they are basically looked at as apart of the mutant threat and the team has to wait on action.

En Sabah Nur has a speech in response. Annoucing to bring the Apocalypse to the corrupt and weak world. He states if the US wants war they will face the Apocalypse's Horseman of War's wrath. His supporters, citizens and the army of Genosha cheer wildly. The world watches on international TV as the US air strikes are fruitless. Magneto easily disables the warheads and sends them back to the United States, straight for some major city as APocalypse follows. The major city is evacuated by the time the war heads arrive and suprisingly Magneto sends the missiles at Apocalypse while the cameras are rolling. Apocalypse tanks the blows and quickly dispatches Magneto. He declares nothing on Earth is a match for him. He alone could wipe out the planet but he'd rather his army purge the corrupt nations of Earth. Starting tomorrow His armies will start their trek across the globe led by his horseman. Then to prove his point he beings to level the city with a thought as the world watches in horror.

Then the X-men arrive on site with Cyclops and storm landing a fury of blows. When Apocalypse is on the ground subdued Cyclops demands Apocalypse to confess what he's down with Beast. Apocalypse easily recovers and makes a joke about how they're genetically re-engineering him. Storm flies away to dodge him and Nightcrawler teleports himself and Cyclops outta danger. Apocalypse speed blitzes Jean grey who uses her Psionic force field to deflect his blows as she telekinetically shifts away in flight from him. The X-Men's teamwork keeps Apocalypse on his toes til they realize they can't scratch him at all. Cyclops commands the team to retreat as Nightcrawler gets them outta there one by one. They barely escape, taking Magneto with them.

Upon arrival Magneto lets the team know that Apocalypse knows about the Mansion and it isn't safe there. They ask where could they go and he graviates the team, In the Blackbird to Asteroid M. From there he give the details about all he knows of Genosha, Sinister, Apocalypse Celestial Armor (where he gets his invulnerability) and the Axis Chamber of Time, the only place that can conceal En Sabah Nur. He says Apocalypse is sending his three of his 4 horseman to 3 different cities strategically located across the globe to hasten his domination. Each lead by a 4 horse man. Once the armies have left, Genosha will be the most vulnerable. Cyclops decides to divide the team up to battle the four armies. He and Nightcrawler will protect New York. Storm will Protect Egypt. Jean will protect Russia. Magneto will lead his own strike on Genosha alongside Raven.

All the cities cower in fear as the skies darken with Fighter Jets impervious to the missiles sent at them. Apocalypse' fighter jets easily dispatch the defense systems of their countries they attack.

New York : Nightcrawler Teleports Cyclops to the sky for the first ever Omni-Blast. By by apocalypse fleet

Egypt: Apocalypse fleet meet Storm's first ever Hurricane that send them all flying back. by by apocalypse fleet

Russia: Using a mini cerebro created with the help of Apocalypse Jean grey mind controls the entire fleet to head back to Genosha to bomb Apocalyse. by by apocalypse fleet.

Back over Genosha, Magneto calls down an asteroid shower from the sky. Apocalypse is distracted by his own fleet flying in on him to destroy his island. He's able to destroy them but becomes engaged in a power struggle with Magneto's Asteroid shower. Cyclops goes back around with the X-jet Picking up all the X-men from their city posts. Mystique is able to free the enslaved mutants from Genosha's manufactoring camps and they make quick work of Sinister who flees. They all then begin to attack a distracted Apocalypse who then can't battle the meteor shower that pummels his island.

Apocalypse and Magneto continue the combat with Apocalypse easily overwhelming him. Unfortunately for Apocalypse the X-men show up, this time knowing about Apocalypse armor. Jean Grey and Magneto combine forces to remove the celestial armor allowing Cyclops to pound away at his exposed body. Apocalypse regeneration is extremely fast and he stills continues to go at the team. On the ropes, Nightcrawler teleports Apocalypse into the front of Axis Chamber, begging Cyclops to use his blasts to push them in. Through tears Cyclops does so. Apocalypse reliqinquished, Cyclops is still upset about the loss of his friend. As he pounds the floord Nightcrawler taps him on the shoulder and they all laugh in heroic victory.

BEAT THAT JIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIMMMMMMMMMM

What I wrote above was just what I would love to see for each character, not a story plot, like you attempted...

Some things you came up with I like, while others not so much. For example:

- Marvel Girl. Sure, I would kind of like to see her refered to as that, as I've written in other threads.

- Not showing Professor X going out and making contact with at least one of, if not all of the big three would be a crime. To just already have them at the school in 1983, developed far beyond where they should be, is a bit of a stretch. I really want to see at least one of them brought to the school. I guess it could be done where Quicksilver, Scott and Jean are already at the school and then they go make contact with Kurt, and then on to Egypt where they save/meet Ororo and Gambit.

- Where is Quicksilver, one of the most popular characters from DOFP, in your story?

- Who are your other Horsemen?

- Do we ever get to see Wolverine get his adamantium back?

- The idea of Professor X showing the students psionically the possible future? Ok, maybe. But the future that he saw had nothing to do with Apocalypse, so that doesn't make any sense!

- Not sure I'm a fan of Apocalypse/Sinister being in control of Genosha. Always felt that that place should be ruled by Magneto, and Magneto alone. Just don't see Mags being a lacky for Sinister/Apocalypse like you surmise! Guess I could see Genosha being under Sinister's control (who is working for Apocalypse), but Erik should not be some lackey. And the idea of Magneto just playing along in order to attack Apocalypse at the right moment is a bit of a yawn, especially for a character like Mags!

- Why would you have Jean, and not Charles, read the mind of the Genoshan leaders at this conference?

- The idea that Wolverine, by himself, let alone with Sinister and others, couldn't whoop up on three kids is a joke. It's not like Jean could just mindblast Wolverine, or Sinister. This battle of yours would kind of defeat the threat too early, even if Beast was kidnapped.

- So Beast was just kidnapped, even though Wolverine, Sinister and his forces were no match for the X-kids, yet they let them take him without pursuit?

- I do like the idea of having to split the forces of good over the world in order to defeat Apocalypse. The idea that Apocalypse has each Horseman leading a separate attack is not bad, but if you really think about it, the way to win is through teamwork, and splitting the X-Men doesn't let that happen. I could see Mystique and her Brotherhood fighting one force, and maybe Magneto fighting anohter, while the X-Men must fight Apocalypse and his Horseman War. But really, the best way to go is to have everyone have to work together in order to defeat all of Apocalypse's forces. Of course some of them get away, including Sinister and even Apocalypse.

- I do like the concept of the celestial armor though as a way to weaken Apocalypse enough.

- Your story cubbyholes both Mystique and Remy into one small, insignificant scene. These two characters are major players and deserve a lot more than what you surmise. The idea that you don't get into the whole Mystique/Kurt relationship is problematic.

- What ever happened to Beast? You tried to setup a story point, but bever resolved it!

- Your story never shows how this timeline is different in that Apocalypse has awoken, when in the original he didn't. Obviously Apocalypse was never in the OT 1983, otherwise the OT movies would have been different. That means that something has changed in this OT to bring Apocalypse into it now, and the easiest way to make that happen is to have someone (like Ororo) mistakenly awaken Apocalypse from his slumber.

- No Nightcrawler in the circus?????????

Ok, here's my shot at a good story:

Movie starts with Mystique, in the shape of the 1974 Stryker, driving up to a mansion and bringing a casket sized chamber, made of glass, filled with fluid and with Wolverine inside, unconsious, on an automated lift, inside. She is shown entering into a laboratory type room, where she leaves the body. She enters through a doorway into a study type room. A tall figure is standing with his back to her.

"I have brought you what you asked for".

The figure replies "You have done well, Raven".

He turns. It's Nathaniel Essex.

Raven says something about the deal. Discussion between them reveals that she is doing this in order to free a bunch of mutants (as we've seen her motivated to do in DOFP).

It then reads across the screen, "Ten years later"...

At Xavier's School for Gifted Students, in the Danger Room. Beast is in the control booth watching the action. Cyclops, Marvel Girl (both around 18 or 19 years old) and Quicksilver (mid-20's) are standing in the middle of a large, circular room with technology all around (obviously the Danger Room to those who know).

Beast says "Alright, let's see what you've got", pressing the buttons and dials to get the Danger Room to run through a Savage Land (jungle) scenario.

They are in the middle of a field, surrounded by thick trees and vegetation, when they become attacked from mutliple directions by a group of velociraptors (could be Man-Apes, or some other Savage Land creature type to give the nod). Cyclops is taking out one here, and one there using his optic blasts. Marvel Girl is using her telekenesis to pick one up and throw it into another. Quicksilver is standing there nonchalant, almost bored, doing nothing to help. Cyclops, realizing that they can't keep up with the number of creatures attacking them says "Pietro, want to help here?"

Pietro replies "If I must...". He speeds up and starts running through the horde of creatures, similarly to what he did in DOFP, moving the velociraptor's legs and placing stones and logs under their claws, all the while dodging Scott's slow-moving optic blast and the hovering creature that Jean is tossing telekenetically. He comes to stop back in his starting position next to Scott and Jean. Time resumes and the entire horde of creatures all crash in a tangle of bodies and stones and logs, etc.

"Too easy." Quicksilver says, matter of factly.

Suddenly, from the other side of the field, a huge creature, red in color, that is easily recognized as a T-Rex, bursts through the tress, stampeding right at the trio. Scott fires his optic blasts, but the creature is too large and they bounce off it's tough hide. Jean puts up a telekenetic shield, which slows the huge beast, but just barely. It takes all of her concentration to keep it up.

Quicksilver is about to go into action when a screech from behind causes him to turn. A huge pterodactyl is on him, it's claw clamping onto his shoulder like a vise and pulling him from his feet as it flys away. Pietro thrashes, to no avail. He tries to use his powers, but that ends up causing him to just shake violently.

Cyclops raises his head towards the flying lizard, but realizing the danger states "I don't have a clear shot". With things quickly getting out of control, his leadership skills take over.

"Jean, when I say, drop your shield."

He raises his hand to the side of his visor, adjusting a knob to it's maximum rotation.

"Now!"

Jean shuts down her telekenesis as Scott sends out a huge concussive blast. The creature is defeated and crashes to the ground in a cloud of dust.

"Jean, use your telekenesis to hold that thing".

Jean does as she's told, stopping the creature from flying away, but unable to bring it to the ground as she fights against the force of it's wings.

Once again, Scott raises his hand to the side of his visor and adjusts the knob in the opposite direction. He takes careful aim and fires a very precise shot at the pterodactyl, killing it instantly. It, and Pietro, plummet towards the ground. Jean reaches out with her mind, grabs Pietro, and guides his body to them.

The scene around them changes back to the Danger Room as Beast enters from a door that comes out to a mezzanine, around 20 feet up on the wall. He somersaults down to the kids and rushes over asking "How bad is he hurt?"

"I'm fine!" replies Quicksilver, rubbing his shoulder.

"Debriefing in Professor X's study in 10 minutes"

We then see Professor X sitting in his wheelchair using Cerebro. We are brought into his mind as he reaches out searching for something. We are shown the globe as he focuses on Europe. His mind zeroes in on the sole red figure in that area as we are brought in. We see the figure and he says "Mein Gott".

Professor X takes off the helmet, showing his finally bald head (pay McAvoy extra) and smiles.

CAIRO, EGYPT

On the streets of Egypt we see a man in his mid-20's walking through the market. When we see it is Channing Tatum (wearing street clothes - not Gambit's uniform) it becomes very obvious that this is Remy Lebeau. A situation occurs where a young, dark-skinned girl, around 18 years old, with white-hair, bumps into him and appoligizes. He instinctively places his hand to his back pocket and realizes his wallet was just taken. He turns and see the white-haired girl disappear around a corner. He takes off in pursuit. As the chase ensues he ends up grabbing a pole from a vendor's cart. At a certain point, when he sees the girl turn right around a corner, instead of following he goes a different way.

We then see the girl, believing she has escaped and is alone, checking the contents of the wallet. Suddenly the man drops down from the roof of the building behind the young thief holding the pole. He says "Nice try chere'. And ta think I now needs to be a thief of my own wallet".

The young girl tries to run for it, heading towards a small hole in the side of the wall of an obviously vacant building across the alley. Gambit's eyes flash purple as he charges the pole and tosses it ahead of the escaping thief. The wall explodes, crumbling in a heap blocking her escape. The girl falls back and the wallet lands at Gambit's feet.

Ororo: "How did you...?"

Gambit picks up his wallet, pulls out some money, which he hands to the young girl.

"Here, dis for you. My names Remy, some call me Gambit. An I know what you're t'inkin', ma petite. Dat Gambit... he sure is de suave one, no?"

Gambit walks away...

(Going forward, let me just surmise the story)

Back at the mansion, in Professor X's study. They hold some conversation about the Danger Room simulation. The discussion, of course, leads to some life lessons about arrogance (Quicksilver), trusting your powers (Marvel Girl) and leadership (Cyclops). Some discussion can take place about how well the new ruby quartz visor worked, which was created for Cyclops by Beast, and maybe how realistic the Danger Room is.

Professor X then informs them that he has located another mutant and that they will be leaving immediately.

This is when we'll get into Mystique and Magneto. Mystique has formed a Brotherhood of Mutants that includes Toad, Ink and some others. Maybe Avalanche and Destiny are part of this group. This force is going up against some government installation where a mutant is being held. Maybe Destiny is the mutant that they are trying to free. The battle happens and in the end Magneto saves them and brings them to his lair, which is within a moutain.

Back to the X-Men who are flying on the new Blackbird. Maybe Hank is teaching Scott and/or Jean to fly. Quicksilver is either sleeping, or having a conversation with Professor X, possibly about his father (and sister?). Anyway, they arrive, stealthily land and go to this European circus. They get to see the Amazing Nightcrawler's trapeeze act while Professor X goes to talk with the gypsy foster mother of this Nightcrawler's. During their talk we get to see the past where a beautiful woman is carrying a blue-skinned baby, which she ends up leaving to be found by a younger version of this gypsy woman. From the yellow eyes of the woman as she tearfully turns away from her baby the audience knows it's Mystique.

We then see Mystique, and her Brotherhood, with Erik as he talks about the past ten years and his isolation. Mystique wants him to fight to protect the mutants, but he has come to the conclusion that there can never be peace. Maybe Destiny confirms that mutants and humans will never truly be able to live in harmony. There can also be some discussion about Azazel with the implication being that Mystique developed feelings for him after he left them. After all of the discussion Erik states "I have come to a decision and would invite you to come with me", or something like that.

Back at the circus the kids are watching Nightcrawler do some amazing things. A situation happens where a child is in danger and kurt displays his teleportation powers in order to save her. The audience is awed and scared. This all leads to Kurt leaving with the Professor and the others.

Back in Egypt it is now night and we see Gambit dressed in his costume, bo-staff in hand. We see him approaching one of the Pyramids of Giza, going up and out of sight. He pulls out some sort of key and uses it in a keyhole that would be almost impossible to find. We see Ororo watching steathily a little ways off. Gambit enters through the stone stairs that were uncovered when he used the key.

We then see Gambit deep down in the heart of the pyramid, entering into a huge anti-chamber. He walks up to the dais in the center of the chamber and ascends the steps. He pulls out some sort of energy source and puts it into what appears to be alien technology. The blue energy from the power source travels around the technology as it powers up. Four smaller sarcoghaguses light up and four figures emerge, as Gambit descends and backs away. This could be a place where Gambit gains access and takes a piece of this technology. The main sarcoghagus then powers up and out comes Apocalypse.

Back on the Blackbird, Professor X (and maybe Jean as well) feel the massive disturbance caused by the awakening of Apocalypse. Professor X guides Beast to Egypt.

Back in the pyramid, the being stands and says "I am En Sabur Nur, the Apocalypse, and I have come!" (or something like that - as if we would need to be told). Some dialog might happen between Gambit and Apocalypse (or his Horsemen). Maybe something about him being sent to awaken him. Suddenly Ororo, who obviously followed, appears at the doorway. Apocalypse tells his Horsemen to kill her. Remy reacts and uses his powers to bring down some of the ceiling on top of one of the Horsemen. He runs, taking Ororo with him.

The remaining Horsemen give chase. Remy's powers cause a cave-in trapping Ororo near the exit, Remy outside, separated. Suddenly the skies light up with an electrical storm. The hair on Remy's arms lift due to the static. Remy can hear Ororo screaming on the other side, when suddenly a bolt of lightning strikes the place where the debris from the avalanche is.

The Blackbird appears and Professor X mentally communicates with Remy, who is craddling the unconscious Ororo. A battle ensues between the three Horsemen and the X-Men (and Gambit). This is the first time we get to see Nightcrawler use his powers in battle (what are some good ways to have his powers combine with the others?). Ororo is not doing well so they hasten their escape.

Back at the mansion Ororo is being cared for, with Gambit never leaving her side. She comes to, introductions, etc.

Sinister and Apocalypse are then shown together, maybe at Sinister's lab. Sinister is definitely subserviant. Apocalypse needs a new Horseman Death. Sinister unveils Wolverine. Wolverine either already has his adamantium back, or we get to see him go through the process. Maybe Apocalypse does something to Logan's mind, making him into his Horseman.

I think it would be neat to see them use real life experiences from 1983, as they have in the other movies. One that could work is the marine barracks in Beirut. Maybe it's Apocalypse's Horsemen who attacked the military installation. Wolverine can be made out, by those that would know him, as one of the attackers. We get to see Ronald Reagan call this a "dispicable act".

The X-Men see this all on tv and Professor X and Beast recognize Wolverine. We get more dialog and interactions among the X-Men.

Erik and Mystique show up at the mansion. Erik explains that he is leaving and explains how he will create Asteroid M. Mystique is not going to go and she tells Charles et al about Essex and how she gave him Wolverine. She needs to help fix this. Erik drops the bomb that he is Pietro's father. Pietro decides to leave with Erik (he has daddy issues).

In preparing for the battle this would be the time to get into Mystique and Kurt, if that can be included in this story. This could be part of Mystique's redemption.

We get to see Magneto, along with Pietro and other mutants, create Asteroid M.

Back on earth, the team's go up against the Horsemen and ultimately win, though Wolverine/Death got away. This is where we could see Nightcrawler wielding a sword. Jean (or Professor X) was able to psionically determine where Apocalypse is and information about the celestial technology.

They go after Apocalypse. Working together, they battle. They remove Apocalypse's celestial armor, making him vulnerable. Someone (probably Ink) needs to die. Some how they get through to Wolverine, waking him up, so he can fight as well. Apocalypse is ultimately, by all appearance, defeated.

After the battle, Mystique and her Brotherhood take their dead and leave. She still has work to do.

Back at the mansion Professor X is helping/talking with Logan. Not going into the future discussions with him, just about the mansion, what they do, etc. Everyone else is just hanging, enjoying each other's company, etc.

After credit scene: Sinister reforms Apocalypse's body and puts him into a regneration chamber. Maybe Remy appears and they hold a dialog about how that didn't go very well. Remy gives to Sinister the thing he stole from Apocalypse's pyramid back towards the beginning of the movie, setting up another movie...

^ The beginning was very descriptive. I can totally see Gambit interacting with young Ororo.

All I would want would be for Apocalypse to link to the alien races, maybe for an outerspace story in X5 (which could still happen, you know! :P )

Tight work Jim.
I disagree with Apocalypse accidentally waking up.
It takes away from his prestige.
He should voluntarily leave the axis chamber after realizing a mutant has disrupted the time space continuum and he is enticed by that power.
Also Apocalypse is the nAme of the movie. Shouldn't the plot be about him?

I just want to see a baseball game at Xaviers. I'm fairly simple.

wolverine 3 is next and I doubt they are looking at apocalypse for the main villain there, whenever that is gonna be set and assuming its gonna be based on old man logan

I don't see them doing the cartoony thing of telling the story then having him coincidentally return in the happy future at that time 20 years later

I like how you clearly started with all the enthusiasm in the world, then as you went through it got less and less detailed :funny:

As has been said, this film needs to be about Apocalypse. He didn't even appear until halfway through, and then Gambit just removed him from play. Apoc needs to be in it constantly, probably after noting the events of DOFP

^ Hey, all that detail takes a lot of time. Thought I would start with the detail to suck you in, and then switch it to general situations so you could imagine it as you would like. Also, that way, you could give recommendations on those areas where I wasn't very descriptive...

The scene with Gambit and Ororo at the pyramid would definitely be towards the early part of the movie. Although there are a handful of scenes prior to the waking of Apocalypse, most are quick and each is necessary to establish new characters and situations. Guess for me I just really like the idea that Apocalypse's slumber has been disturbed in this new reality, when it wasn't in the OT. And making it Ororo (who has a connection to Egypt), along with Gambit (who has the connection to Ororo due to them both being thieves and per canon), makes a lot of sense to me. Also, the idea that Gambit was sent there by Sinister in order to steal something, but things went wrong, is appealing, especially as it is loosely based on canon (Gambit's betrayal).

For X-er, who would like the outer space story in X5, I think by having Mags create Asteroid M in this one, in an attempt to isolate himself and his Acolyte mutants, everything gets set up for that.

For Cisco and hoy, of course the plot is about Apocalypse. All of the battle scenes that I didn't get specific on are about Apocalypse. A main point will have to be the survival of the fittest concept. But as with any of these movies we need to first establish certain things. Think about everything this movie will need to do... We'll need to introduce young Scott, Jean and Ororo, as well as Gambit and Nightcrawler. We'll need to have more of Quicksilver. We'll need to show Prof. X and Beast working with the kids. If Wolverine will be the Horseman Death then that would need to be established. I mean, it's not like Mystique has had him in cryo for the past 10 years (I hope).

I think the big thing is how/when to bring Apocalypse in. I really like the idea that he is in slumber, in one of his regeneration sarcophaguses, which is per canon. I mean sure, he could just be there from the start, but then you kind of lose the whole concept that this timeline is different from the OT and the whole Sinister connection. Also, a main part of canon for Apocalypse is him being awoken early.

I guess one thing that could be done to put more focus on Apocalypse is to have the very first scene about En Sabur Nur in the very, very distant past. Just imagine seeing En Sabur Nur, as a child or young man, in ancient Egypt, finding the alien technology. Now that would be an amazing scene and would set things up well. In addition, it would put more focus on Apocalypse, while showing how his powers were augmented. Also imagine if it turned out that this alien ship that amped up his powers was at the heart of the Great Pyramid. This ties in and works very well. Hmm...

Another past scene that could be used is Apocalypse and Sinister, again, just like in canon. I mean, the main motivation of Apocalypse is waiting until the time is right for mutants to take over the world. This is why every 100 years or so Apocalypse would awake from his regeneration, to see if the time was right. It was during one of these periods where he met Sinister. Sinister's knowledge of mutants would play very well into this and establish how old and powerful he is a well. It would also help esablish Sinister as a main villain for another movie.

Another way to go would be to turn the celestial armor into a bigger plot point. In fact, one thing that happened back in 1983 was the first launch of the US Space Shuttle Challenger. What if they went into space to retrieve something that contained this celestial armor? As cisco recommended, this anomaly would possibly cause Apocalypse to awaken.

Did you guys at least like the Danger Room sequence?

I'm just winding you up, I'm impressed at the effort frankly!

Danger Room scene is a must in the film, although I dunno how on board I am with Peter being an X-Man. He seems like a solo guy

I think the big thing with Peter is that he was so popular that he must be included in the movie. I don't think they can go with the concept of "Hey, let me go get that Peter kid again and use him for one scene".

Having him temporarily as part of the team enables us to see him in action once again, which is what everyone seems to want.

One issue I have with Peter is that he is too powerful in this movieverse. He puts almost everyone else to shame. I mean, look what he did in DOFP. That would mean that a way for his powers to be negated would need to be used, as I tried with the Danger Room scene. I figured if he was attacked by a flying creature that removed him from the ground that his powers would be severely limited. Also, if you had his powers, which are almost unstopable, wouldn't you be a bit arrogant. Seems like that is a good personality/obstacle for him.

But my main point is that you can't keep doing that over and over again. Effectively, Peter needs to be used and then taken out of the equation, just like they did for DOFP. It just needs to be done better and more believable this time. I mean, in DOFP they were going to go try to stop Mystique from shooting someone, so they leave the speedster who can run faster than bullets at home? So this time, having him go with his father, Erik, and leave the planet to create Asteroid M, gives him motivation (his father) and sets him up for another flick. Wouldn't it be cool to see what happens to his powers in the vaccuum of space?

Jean was 6yo in scene in DOFP, so can't be 19yo 10 years later.
And it's more possible Pietro will join Magneto than Xavier. They wouldn't show him and Toad during scene with Erik's speech talking about Brotherhood.

Peter has no reason to join Mags over Xavier, he doesn't know the paternal link is there

same could be said for joining Xavier though, plus if anything he saw Mags on TV so maybe had more of an interest in him. Kleptomaniac with a guy known for being bad - makes more sense to me than sticking around with a guy who is of a slower approach to most things.

Also whilst age is a subject, I really wish people wouldn't be too fussed about ages. Sometimes I think the GA are in such a better situation because I really dont think they care about what ages the characters are in these films so why should we.

they may end up just saying in the 10 years between DOFP and APOCALYPSE it was revealed he was his father and go on from there

Ok, as far as ages of Jean, Scott and Ororo...

Yes, these characters should be around 15 or 16 years old based on the things we know. For the timeline to work as far as ages (and I think to a degree the writers just don't care that much) you need to work backwards from the first X-Men movie. So how old was Jean, Scott and Ororo in that film? I think a fair estimate would be mid-20's, but I guess someone could try to argue mid-30's at the latest. I believe that movie, at least this week, took place in 2004.

We also have that one scene from X3 with Jean in her living room. Supposedly that scene took place in 1986. So how old was she there? My guess would be 14 or so, but I think they are going to retcon the specific year for that scene as it was never stated (and in the new timeline - never happened).

So IF Jean, Scott and Ororo were mid-20's in 2004 then in 1983 (the year the Apocalypse movie is supposed to take place) they would be around 5 years old. So that ain't happening. As I indicated above, they could try to argue that, at most, they were mid-30's in 2004. That would make them around 15 or so in 1983.

But the main issue is what we should expect they will want for these characters. Will they want 15 or 16 year old characters in this movie? Maybe, and if done correctly I'd be ok with that. Truth is that IMO one or two years difference is no biggie. Really, the only reason why I was leaning towards 18 or so was for the believability of Scott being the leader, and because I would like to see Nightcrawler and Ororo have some flirtation.

What we do know is that they can't mess (or at least shouldn't) with Nightcrawler's birth since it happened prior to 1973 and it is known, assuming that Azazel is his father. He had to have been born in 1964 or 1965. This would make Nightcrawler 18 or 19 years old.

One thing we do know about Pietro is that everyone (the GA) loved him in DOFP. That means they will bring him back and want to have him in the movie doing his thing again. There are two ways to do that... They can put him with Magneto (or Mystique), as part of his Brotherhood (if Mags makes a Brotherhood), which ends up making him a bad guy. Yes, to a degree, that is per canon. But it will be hard to develop his character if he's already with Mags. Now if you start with him at Xavier's, learning to use his powers, there's more ability to develop him. This would also work very well because they could make it where he has a bit of an attitude, maybe he doesn't like to follow orders, he likely wouldn't like taking orders from some 16 or 17 year old kid, and all of that could help lead to him leaving the team. Add in Magneto dropping a bomb on him that he is the kid's father, and I could easily see Pietro going with his dad, especially if they are looking to go make Asteroid M or Genosha.

In my story I wanted to see Xavier, Beast, Scott and Jean go find Nightcrawler, so we can see him at the circus, and then to go save Ororo and Gambit in Egypt. It just seemed to me that having only Scott and Jean at the mansion in my Danger Room session wouldn't work. I needed a third character who is not Nightcrawler, Ororo or Gambit; and Quicksilver seemed an easy fit.

I will admit that the fact they went out of their way to show Pietro and Toad watching Erik on tv indicates a decent liklihood that they will end up joining him. I've been surmising that it will be Mystique that will form the Brotherhood, since she is the one going around freeing them, and how she went and got Wolverine.

Truthfully, I'd much rather see Wolverine as Apocalypse's Horseman Death (which is why I started this thread), instead of just having him play along with Mystique, which is why I wrote that into my story above, but they could easily do my idea of Archangel as Death instead, and keep Wolverine with Mystique, and maybe even make them lovers. Many people might like seeing Mystique (Lawrence) and Wolverine (Jackman) as lovers.

Thinking about Logan and X-Men Days of Future Past onwards I think it was a mistake to have him return to the future.

It was a great scene but in the overall timeline that means that the Logan we see from now on in the movies up until 2023 will be basically killed and replaced by OT Logan.

So it'll be hard to form an attachment to this Logan and his adventures when we know he'll be offed un-ceremoniously.
