Apocalypse Wolverine - The Horseman Death (Or maybe not...)

He's already said that he is. He just doesn't know exactly how big his role will be this time around (or at least he didn't in the last interview that I read). Turning Mystique into a Horsemen would be a mistake imo. They made such a big deal of her "going her own way" and basically being a third option between Xavier and Magneto's ideologies. To then immediately turn her into a lackey again completely undermines that, and the character growth that she's had. Plus it just isn't as interesting.

Yeah he's back, but we don't know his role.

In terms of Wolverine, I'm more interested in where his solo film is going to take place

^ Totally agree about NOT turning Mystique in to a Horseman. I say the same thing about Magneto, and most of the others, including Havok, Professor X, etc.

Wolverine is the one exception for me. In many ways I think it would be refreshing for Jackman to have to play a villain, even if his character is not fully aware of what he is doing, or however you want to explain Apocalypse messing with his head.

I still ask this questions...

Since we saw Mystique, as Stryker, retrieve Logan, what's her end game?

1. Would she save him to just let him go?

2. Would she give him the adamantium, and then he escapes?

3. Would she give him the adamantium, and then try to get him to be on Team Mystiaue?

4. Would she give him to someone, like an Apocalypse or Sinister, to serve her own motivations? If so, what motivations, other than trying to save the mutant race, would she have?

5. Would Wolverine be willing to go through the bonding process? And if not (which, based on origins, he wouldn't), then how would she get him to do it?

I think a main piece of this story hinges on these questions/answers...

Mystique being turned into Horseman would give Xavier and Magneto a reason
to join forces again.

Aftermath would give good reason to cause Mystique to realign with Magneto.

^ Then what's the purpose of Wolverine, and specifically Mystique takinf Wolverine?

Also, Apocalypse alone will be such a global threat that that alone is reason enough for all factions (Xavier, Rave and Erik) to align.

Well the thought that crossed my mind was that she's putting together her own team and wants Wolverine as part of it (Havok is another possibility given their scene together in DOFP). And she was trying to help/protect mutants for the entire movie, so there was probably an element of not wanting to leave Wolverine to drown or end up in the hands of the government/military. I was wondering if she killed the real Stryker, or captured him, or was he simply off doing something else at the time?

Yeah but I doudt there will be 4 factions in film while not even mentioning there could a small focus on human governments reacting to APocalypse

If there Is brotherhood it's more likely to be Magneto

As DOFP showed how it ends isn't the best way to guess how things will be In Apocalypse.Few would have guess things In DOFP based on how FC ended.

In DoFP there were many "factions"...

There was the future X-Men (Kitty, Bishop, Warpath, Iceman, Sunfire (I mean Sunspot), and Blink.

There was Xavier, Magneto, Storm and future Wolverine.

Yes, they came together, but at first they were separate "factions".

There was also the Sentinals, which as the initial main antagonists would have to be considered a "faction".

In the past there was Xavier, Beast and Wolverine; and I guess you could add Quicksilver to this for the small part he had.

Mystique was also her own "faction".

And so was Magneto, especially since he broke from Team Xavier and did his own thing.

And of course there was Trask and the government, which would likely need to be considered a "faction".

So in the end, DoFP, had upwards of 7 different "factions".

So the idea that in this Apocalypse movie we'll have:

1. Apocalypse and his Horsemen.
2. Xavier and his new X-Men.
3. Mystique and possible her own group (maybe with Wolvie).
and 4. Magneto (with or without a group).

Is very possible!

And I think there must be an obvious plan for Raven in regards to taking Wolverine. Why go to all of the trouble otherwise. That means that most likely whatever that plan was will be shown in this movie. So asking the question, and speculating, as to why she took him, is a very logical starting point to trying to figure out this movie.

So, in your opinion, why did Raven take Wolverine?????

How will Wolverine get his adamantium back (or will he not?)?

Where will Magneto be at the start of this 1983 set movie?

Where will Mystique be at the start of this 1983 set movie?

What about Quicksilver? Will he be on his own? Did he join up with Xavier? Did he join with Magneto? Did he get lured by Mystique? Will he not be in this (what a waste if he's not)?

These are very fair and logical questions that are the foundation of what this movie is likely to be!

Again It's more likely If there Is a brotherhood In Apocalypse it will be
Magneto's group.

There Is no telling that Mystique will have her own group. Her disguised as
Stryker could be clue if Wolverine Is horseman so could she.

Despite how FC ended there wasn't a brotherhood In DOFP.

Had anyone seen this skit? It's hilarious.

I've always liked how Apocalypse preys on vulnerable people to be his horsemen like the paraplegic Vietnam veteran and bulimic teenage a mutant girl.

En Sabah Nur is a manipulative SOB.

So, maybe or maybe not the place for this, but has anyone caught the new Night at the Museum movie yet? As X-Men fans, please go and see it

BECAUSE HUGH JACKMAN IS IN IT!!!

Holy cow, what a cameo! Sir Lancelot makes a break for Camelot, which turns out to be a play starring Hugh Jackman and Alice Eve. Back and forth ensues, which results in Lancelot attacking Hugh with a sword.

The response? "You wouldn't like me when I'm angry". He then goes full Wolverine, doing the old muscle man pose as if he had the claws, all scored to the X-Men DOFP music!! Alice Eve then deadpans "Yeah that's his Wolverine thing, it's more impressive with the claws and without your shirt on".

Oh and Lancelot calls him Huge Ackman. Made a very average film a winner

nice info hoysmallfry! And Alice Eve should have taken the X-Men role.

With all of the recent speculation that Wolverine will have nothing more than a cameo, which I still can't believe, I have to ask the same question again...

What was Mystique's reasoning for taking/saving Wolverine at the end of DoFP? And, do you believe that it will be shown/explained in DoFP?

Gathering him for Apocalypse

kinberg said her saving him would be addressed in apocalypse

But the last moment in the movie with the Mystique reveal… there's for sure more to that. As we follow the characters in to X-Men: Apocalypse, we have to address that and make it a real thing."

If the film starts in 1983 it wont be shown...maybe just explained.

WELP... now that we know that either Jackman is only a cameo or maybe not even in the film at all.. Who shall play death?
