Can't say for sure but from the looks of the other blurry footage of that scene there does seem to be smaller flying drone like machine/s in there too (looked kinda like the hunter/killer drones from the Terminator films).

That's because I'm not saying they won't be in the final battle, I'm saying the evidence doess't point to it. They could be, but it would be outta left field.

How could the sentinels not be a big part of it? They're giant freakin robots! That's not something you devote a half dozen shots to.

Hang on, you say the evidence doesn't point to Sentinels being in the final battle. What evidence?

yeah i thought this clip was suppose to be the Danger Room scene

Logan even says after Storm says "we're getting killed out there"

and he says "i know their not ready Storm"

does he mean ready for the Danger Room or for an actual battle with Sentinels?

I'd say Kinberg's comment that they aint a major plot point in the film would count; If they are a big bad in the finale then Kinberg is either mistaken (unlikely) or lying (again unlikely).

I couldn't tell ya...

If I had to guess, the DR training session was just to test the limits on how effectively the new X-Men can use their powers together in a random combat situation..

Heh, yeah that Obi Wan is a lying sonovab##h. "Certain point of view" my @ss.

In this case though I don't think Kinberg is trying to mislead us. If he wanted to do that the stock reply of 'spoiler' would have done the trick a lot better.

Kinberg is just the co-writer and he's never misled us before...

So this horrible clip is making you stupider? Does that make you feel stupid to follow such a catastrophe of a franchise?

uncalled for :down

No need. I think he's been stuck plenty, and I'm not wearing a body condom.
:p

There is no way that this clip is 100% complete...

I LOVE the clip but I agree...Colussus needs some work and the music is pretty generic.

But I'm pretty sure that this is just a rough cut of what we will eventually see on screen...they just wanted something to present for the tonight show...despite the fact that it wasn't necessary (they didn't have to show us anything!).

Relax, guys

hahaha unfinished or not. Totally destroys previous x movies. That was what a 30 second scene. I'm glad we're even getting to see colossus at all in this movie let alone any form of a sentinel. You think singer would have done any of this? I highly doubt it. You see whats going on with superman. If thats how you want your x-men.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooo....

again i'll ask....

is this a Danger Room scene or an actual battle?

although i didn't like the clip that much and spent i don't know how long defending it... i must say for some reason the clip looks really cooool in my ipod :p

Except that Singer actually wanted to do all that stuff (Danger Room, Sentinels...), but he couldn't because of budget...

You can go ahead and put your foot in your mouth now. And leave it there until you actually know what you're talking about.

yea but did you see singers sentinels desing EWW!!!!

I actually like X2's sentinel concept. A lot of people say it looks like an overgrown slinky, but if you look at it, it's just as solid (wires, etc.) on the inside as any other concept drawings. It's outer-shell is just detailed via the segments.

I think the head is actually more faithful to the comics than the one in X3 . . . it's the face, the eyes . . . It even has the eerie search light in the center of its chest.

Having said that, I don't think the X3 version has gone horribly wrong or anything (we've only seen the head afterall, and it looks pretty faithful). I just think the X2 design should receive more credit than it's given--it pretty much nailed the creepiness of the sentinel in my opinion.

Hmm, I'm a little late on this thread but here's my view anyway. I didn't think much of the clip. Colossus looked weird, sort of watery, I dunno. Wolverines' lines were far too campy and comedic for my liking. It seemed like a serious enough scene and then it's spoiled by him saying "That was my last cigar". The Sentinels headlights were kinda crap too. Sometimes it's a good idea to hide the monster, but not here. You really need to see it in all it's glory to realise the manace of it. Hopefully this is a rough cut, and the finished product will be better. I doubt this small scene is indicative of the feel of the entire film, but it does leave me a little worried for what is to come.
