I must say...they managed to make the Fastball Special not look ridiculous if it had been done like it's drawn in the comics.:)

I totally agree.

First post, and what better way then to start here. The clip was great i have to say and seeing the Sentinel was cool! Definetly can't wait for the Last Stand and May 26 can't come any faster.

If only they cut out that line. All the lines or good (or at least okay) other than that one.

What do you meen?

Halle Berry her acting is underwhelming. Danger Room or not, the scene looks like it was shot on a soundstage. I live in Orlando and it reminds me of all the times I go on Universal rides in soundstages and there is this black/gray misty smoke that clouds the actual walls of the place. The spotlights have no relation whatsoever to the rectangular red hue of the Sentinel's eyes.

The music sounds like something out of the 70s, classic horror riffs when the "Spotlights" arch over the edge of the car. And I'm saying this about Powell, who's music I love! The shot's are mostly master shots for the action, no angle or kinetic cinematography. The camera's relying on you being impressed with explosions and that's just about it.

When the Sentinel head falls in crashes into the ground, with no sign of Logan anywhere on it. Logan then walks out from behind it, perfectly unscathed, which I can accept, but his body frame and size is taller then the Sentinel's head and it makes no sense that 1) he'd not been injured when it slammed to the ground or 2) that he couldn't be seen when it fell.

Not to mention that the head falls forward but that there are no feet or legs or what not for the Sentinel anywhere in the clip. Apparently, the body just remained upright or the body didn't exist.

As I said. Underwhelming. Singer's animatics would've been better then this.

-Hugh Jackman is good, but the "panties in a bunch" line comes across as forced and weak.
-the lines the writers gave to Storm are totally generic and dumb.
-the spinning move is cool
-the music is terrible
-Colossus's effects look terrible
-dismantling the Sentinel off camera is weak film-making and adds to the whole "B-movie" vibe
-theres a general cartoony B-movie vibe to the whole thing

My expectations weren't high for the Danger Room. Ratner doesnt appear to have the skill to pull something like that off, because its hard to make it non-cheesy. And this is cheesy.

(^not @ you)What does that mean? What's wrong with bunched panties?

 must we both argue on this again:D

I say if you choose to leave the Board (which by now probably alot will be doing) wait until at least next week.

the clip is great (its been taken out of context) and the whole movie will be good

Thanks to all here for the versions of the TSWJL clip of Wolvy vs The Sentinels.

I am a bit puzzled by the the immediate criticisms that the dialogue was "CHEESY" or Colossus' armor effect didn't look right.....

Wolverine acted like Wolverine ( strong willed , smarta$$ed and confident....BTW whats with all the Wolverine bashing here on these boards?), the fastball special was a cinematic moment to see , Collosus seemed to be metallic to me,... yet Storm was "awesome"?

How? It seemed like Halle acting like Halle.......( storm should've acted like a LEADER ... but yet came off as somewhat whiny to me)

my only real problems with that clip was that

A) the Sentinel Head seems to fall out of nowhere with no indication there was a body nearby thus ruining the sense of space it would occupy.

B) Colossus was hard to see in some shots.

otherwise , personally , I loved it and it seemed to be a nice sequence. I want to see more.
