Wolverine VS. Sentinel clip

Oh come on, I think the clip is fantastic. The movie will hold up to expectation. Fan-boys will be wetting in their short when opening day comes for X3. The only thing that could have shown more is of the Sentinel, showing the whole body would be more better. I agreed with some people that this seemed like a very incomplete scene.

Bryan Singer should never have gone to do Superfag Returns if you asked me, who is the villian again for that movie again? Lex Luthor? come on. And how come they waited so long to show the general public a trailer of the movie? because they saw X3 trailer and don't know what to do now plus they had such an ealrier production start time than X3. X3 was rushed but then again Ice Age 2 was rushed too and looked how that turned out.

not to be bias but............MARVEL RULES

I sense a banning in the near future:p

  wth.... have you gone mad?

as for your complaints about the danger room walls being covered in mist......uhhh you just answered yourself...???

ps:SILENT HILL WAS AWEOSME!!

I'm going to see it tomorrow.

this is actually exactly what I expected from Ratner, but I'm kinda still shocked by it because the trailers were soooooooooo good with the epic music and dramatic visuals etc. Now this just looks bad next to them in my eyes. Oh well... they already have my money.

another thing. The real wolverine would be going berserk on that robot, screaming yelling snarling. But he didn't, he just grunts a bit. This didn't compute to me.

imo, the only way this clip will work in the film is if they establish it is for training the younger x-men (hence storm telling logan not to destroy the sentinel) and hopefully they explain its all hologram (or whatever they use in the movie) to explain logans whatever attitude

Oh my I don't wanna sound winny but really the execution of that scene was poor,I mean logan's dialogue seem very campy, and well the sentinel head.... if that's the design of their faces then Iam really worried,I was already waiting for the "batterys not included" thing, the falling head fx looks pretty good but colossus metalic look is really badly done, what hapenned to the look he had in X-2? I hope he doesn't look like that in the whole movie, they shouldn't metal-up his hair, it makes him look like a robot out of A.I. Again sorry for this the scene looks good but I have to point out what for me looks bad:(

people, get a grip! put yourselves together. we are at war, this whole thread is not safe. somebody brought in the terrorist. RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!

But time is running out very rapidly and there's only so much they can do in a few weeks. And considering that they thought this clip was worthy of the Tonight Show, they might not even think that the effects needed touching up at all. I wish that they score/FX were better too, but I have very little faith they will be changed by release.

I've given up fighting.

It won't be a hologram.

Two simple things would improve the scene:

-actual music, or just no music
-Halle stopped talking after her "they're not ready" line.

The others are more expensive:
-actually fighting the Sentinel
-Colossus not looking really unfinished

Are you referring to me?

any more comments? wild or violent reaction towards the clip we just saw?

Thats part of the problem.

The other big problem you noted correctly is that the Sentinel doesnt come across as real at all. Its two lights and a head. They should have shown it on camera, or just cut it out if it was too expensive.

I actually didn't have a problem with the Head design in the final part of the clip, rather, that if you look around the space it occupied.... there was NO indication of where it was or how close it was..... which leads me to beleive there might be some CGI to be added that would fill in the gaps.

I really dug how wolvie just walked around from behind like it wasn't a thing........... But by doing so it drew attention and left mne wondering , "WHERES THE REST OF THAT THING?"

sorry to burst your bubble, but have you ever seen a sentinel in the comic books?

It just looks cheap. It looks spectacularly cheap. The more I watch it, the more I feel that.

Settle down ppl. You don't know if that is the final edit for that scene.

Here's my attempt at making a meaningful post:

Music is an IMMENSE factor in establishing a feeling, a tone. This, I hope, was just temp music. If thats the case, then its likely this particular scene will be much less campy with the intended score. It was the music that was similar to F4, and could easily trigger that initial thought.

I, for one, was impressed with Colossus's effects - but its likely he'll have more finishing touches. But I liked it.

If you haven't noticed, this scene was obviously cut up for this promo - most likely so the viewers would get a jist of whats happeneing. This could cause some of the ackward moments. Play close attention to the 'panties' line said by Logan... here it is easily heard that its been editted, most likely from its original track.

I was impressed with the Sentinel. Why'd the keep it hiding in mist and darkness?
1. It raises Suspense. a lot of people will say "what is that?"
2. It keeps some stuff hidden, in case the movie wants to showcase the Sentinel in all its glory
3. These movies are have a very realistic, serious tone. Maybe the movie-makers decided Sentinel's would be a bit too 'out-there' to be depicted fully.
What they did, was great.

The dialogue will also probably be a lot better with different music. I really liked some of Hugh's lines. they've given him a more Wolverine-ish sense.

I was impressed.

oops!

*runs*

Please don't call me a terrorist ever again. A terrorist seeks to inspire fear in his/her opponent in order to alter a percieved injustice or power structure.

I'm simply stating my opinion, backing it up as well.

I'd caution you to do the same.

im sorry if i over sell it ...but thats one of the greatest if not greatest horror (and game) movie ive ever seen:eek:  ...and gorey!

I've given up fighting.
you really shouldnt...then there would be only villains:(

-actual music, or just no music
-Halle stopped talking after her "they're not ready" line.
this is where we first disagree....the music is supposed to be fun in the danger room NOT serious.
