Wolverine VS. Sentinel clip

All in all, take notice of this:

Edited for TV or not, it doesn't much matter to me. I didn't even think of pacing when analyzing it. Dialogue was bad. Unless its cut, that wont't differ. FX, perhaps they'll change, but not much unless they're totally adding a CGI Sentinel body into the film. Acting...can't change that now.

Also, a TV clip or promo should WOW you. It should make you run to your calender and wonder when that film's coming out. It shouldn't have you making conditionals or excuses. You should be absorbed with seeing that movie, not with apologizing for it.

This doesn't do that and, regardless of what people think, the majority opinion on this board -- in various degrees of course -- has NOT been enthusiastic or how it would've been if they'd shown a clip of the tornado scene from X3, for example.

Just when it was starting to get quiet. Just Joking. This movie is gonna rock no matter what.

I cannot believe you are going to sit there and say X3 will be horrible from one 50 second clip you got.

I didn't say that. Notice the use of the words "if" and "suggests."

I just try to keep a very level-head about these things. To say that X3's future has a clear horizon is just being naivie. So I'm waiting, cautiously. Hoping and praying.

it's the "panties in a bunch" line that sounds cliche and cringe worthy in my opinion, but hopefully it will all work out in the end

bosef's not saying it WILL be horrible, he's just being cautious.

Thank you. That's exactly what I'm being, just with a little dash of humor and sarcasm thrown in for good measure.

Keeps it entertaining.

While I do agree that the Sentinel " headlights" seemed odd ( maybe there might be CGI enhancements wher you see a silhouette through the smoke) ....

I think some might be expecting a tad bit too much too soon.

Think about it , were seeing , what i assume is a Danger Room sequence.... I will go out on a limb and assume that this is near the beginnng of the film and we are being thrust in a to the battle in progress. There should be an element of risk , caution and danger but i don't think it would call for the Sturm und Drang of John Williams 'esque aplomb of larger than life orchestral peices or dire cinematic tension... Its not the final scene where all bets are off and everything is on the line....

Yes,....some tension to draw the veiwers in to go " what the heck have we stepped into since the last movie?" and then hit them with a reveal thats its just a simulation.....

but step back some and ask what it is that you really are seeing.

I really don't know why everyone's complaining.. I had chills when I saw a sentinel head falling down. Don't care where it came from or how wolvie got behind it..I was just thrilled to see it. Period.

He also doesn't realize finished scenes, trailers, and promotions reach a broader audience than an unanounced off the cuff tv spot does.

why is it considered so bad? Danger Room!?! Sentinel!?! Colossus metals up??!?! fastball special!?! bad@ss Logan?!?! more x-men!? this is all the stuff you wanted after not getting it in X2?

and thats just this scene? what about Beast, Angel, Juggernaut?

How can it be bad? im sure if you wanted to be picky about X1 and X2 you could

this was just toad being toad . . .

Haha . . . yeah, I always just thought that was very much a Toad thing to do. Also, I thought it was his way of mocking Jean, as she was very hesitant and timid early on. To me, Toad is aware of his being goofy because he's making fun of Jean. He's being intentionally campy and stupid as a means of saying, "You're a wuss . . . even my dancing scares you."
