True. I think what it's coming down to though, is that we ask that they do these things, and do them well (which unfortunately is where we don't see eye to eye). It's not necessarily baseless ranting (well . . . in some instances).

Dialogue from the pages of comics doesn't always work well on-screen. Hugh's and Halle's awkward delivery and performance doesn't help any.

Again, it's implied that in asking for a fastball special (which I never did) that we want it done correctly. If it looks shabby, it looks shabby and we have a right to complain. That said, I personally don't think the fastball special looks particularly bad or awful at all in this clip. It's just there, and that's fine.

The first time i watched it, i felt abit dissapointed but after watching the clip more and more i started to like it soo hopefully its grows on me. I'm going to try and convince myself that it will be okay (going to be hard) so i dont have high expectations as with other movies i do i tend to be dissapointed.

that's pretty much what they did that for that way you don't show every freakin detail and end up with something that looks bad as far as im concerned it leaves more mystery to the lethal weapon that is wolverine.

Fans have the right to complain about what they've seen. Admittedly, we haven't seen enough to judge about the sentinel, but what we did see was a tad worrying.

They did awful. The dialogue and performances were jaw-droppingly awkward (especially from Halle, who continually proves that she really can't act with each successive project).

Actually, I don't mind the missing accents . . . and I especially don't think I mind Pyro not having an Australian accent . . . Come to think of it--this movie would have a ridiculous amount of accents, if every character maintained his or hers.

You aren't from the 'National Front' are you? j/k (I hope). What's wrong with a range of accents other than broad American? As for there possibly being a ridiculous of accents other than American, how is that? I can only think of a small minority of the cast that are characterised as having strong accents.

Though I don't mind Pyro not having his accent I can't help but feel that they're ignoring the character. Being an Aussie is a characteristic of the original, he needn't have an accent but the lack of it makes me think they haven't paid attention to an obvous detail. Sure the story doesn't really suffer but it is still taking away from the feeling of staying true to the comics.

Just because some fans have a wishlist of what they want included doesn't mean that they should like the quality of it when it's given. Just cause I want a pair of new Jordans for my birthday doesn't mean I should enjoy the fact that they're 2 sizes too small, pre-worn, and have holes in them?

And I have to disagree that some of the criticism is baseless. It's there for our viewing (finished or not). They don't appear wholecloth out of nowhere. The thing is opinions can change. Sure there's a possibility that the quality of Colossus's CGI will be better, if not awesome. But we're basing our opinions (well most of us) on the here and now. IF this is indeed what Colossus is going to look like, THEN this is my opinion of it. IF it will, in fact, be better when the movie comes out, THEN I will adjust my opinion to reflect that.

The fans have to judge what they're given - if people are making sweeping statements about this being the finished product, it's a problem. But to say that the clip is worrying and as presented is quite shabby is not at all wrong.

Irrelevant. I don't need to be a world class chef to think something tastes bad. I don't need to have 8 octave voice to think Jennifer Lopez can't sing. I don't need to have gone to film school to think Batman and Robin sucked ass. And I certainly don't need a degree in Theater to judge an actor's performance.

Hate this kind of internet argument and I've heard it plenty. It's a variation of the "If you can sing better than Britney Spears, why don't YOU have a record deal". Blah.
