Wolverine VS. Sentinel clip

omg dont forget the looney toons music.

I think the question shood be, why use a chopped up, unfinished cgi, with hokey cartoon music behind it to intrigue the audience. Wouldn't that repulse them instead?

I'm not here to support a movie that's not out yet, just speculate and get new info about it. When it's out and it's good and makes me spill semen, then i'll support it with return viewings etc....

Repulse? That's a strong word to use...

The regular audience doesn't pick at every single detail like us...they're more relaxed.

I wish I was part of the regular audience. :(

Why SHOULDNT they? I mean ... its better then to show the audience what things might be like in the cinema. Wouldnt you be suprised and hyped if you were sitting in the cinema when suddenly this scene arrives? But then with different music ... and a faster pacing? I sure as hell would :) There's alot of movies that got promoted with unfinished effects , think about Sith , Matrix , Spiderman etc etc. Spiderman is a good example. The bank robbery scene and Helicopter that flies in Spidermans web was nowhere to be found in the movie and it disappointed quite a bunch of people because it was such a neat introduction.

Dont worry about it :) Im sure everything will turn out to be ok!

What Aiden? Worry about it? :p Or hope it'll be ok? ;) Mass confusion here

Yes, but at that point you've already bought the ticket. You dont' need to be sold anymore.

Eh. I thought the dialogue was fine. It fit well. I don't get this. Every non-comic book fan I've shown this to thought it was awesome and started asking me more and more questions about it, the studio audience thought it was great, and here we are nitpicking it to death and calling it the worst thing we've ever seen. I really think this all boils down to our expectations being too high because the people that didn't even know this movie was being made seem to love it.

 is that hyperbole?

We all know it's not Batman and Robin bad. But it is mediocre and that scares me because up until this time, everything was looking grand and epic and oh so good. I've already lowered my expectations that's for sure. I personally don't view the joe-regular-masses as good judgers of quality in anything... ever.

Even if people think this clip sucks they only have seen 58 seconds of the movie. I cant judge a movie by ONE clip? Can you?

Clips are ment to tease people , tease and hype them up! This clip hyped me up because it was nice to FINALLY see the Danger Room. No matter what , the people who got disappointed will see this movie anyway :p

don't know if someone has said it, but all of you have seen the showest clips? what do you think of the acting/dialogue?

I think we can have rigth now a good feeling of the film, having seen all the clips more the trailers and tv spots. don't you think?

The Sentinel head hyped me up a good bit. :D

I like strong words. They make me feel big and important.

Noticing obivously unfinished cg isn't picking. for shizzle Stop saying pick so much dammit.

And thats exactly what this clip was for.

Confirm Sentinels in the Danger Room ... and hype people up because we havent seen the last of the Sentinels :) The Showest clips were awesome :) I loved how Wolverine said the line : "Im gon for a while and the whole world goes to hell"

The madness is over ;) No more flaming ... we're discussing clips and where they are for :P

Well, I'm not going to get into a flap about it... but there is no problem discussing it or even drawing attention to any potential problems... It won't hurt the moviemakers to make sure they try as hard as possible to get things right...

It did seem odd to see Wolverine step out from nowhere... but it's hard to judge that isolated scene...i find it difficult to start drawing massive conclusions from it.

Worst case scenario - If everything else about this movie is bad(which is highly unlikely!) I'll at least be expecting the FX to be amazing, with that huge budget there's no excuse!!

they gave leno a chopped up version of this scene because the audience won't be able to pause it on colossus and be like "wow i really hope they change the effects on him, he looks terrible" because the clip is less than a minute long. there is a TON of stuff missing from that scene.

and what kind of dialouge would you rather hear?

Logan: But soft! What light through yonder Danger Room breaks? It is a Sentinel and Jubilee is the sun! Arise, fair sun, and kill the envious Sentinel,
who is already sick and pale with grief That thou her maid art far more fair than she..."

AND the effects aren't finished... everybody complained about the first preview saying "oh man this movie is gonna SUCK the special effects are TERRIBLE" then when the second preview came out they were saying how much better it was... think about who is doing special effects for this movie (the same people that won oscars for lord of the rings) and think about how much money was spent on it... i think its gonna be amazing, and i will wait to judge the movie when its out.

It wasn't just the cgi being criticized...

I'm not referring specifically to you. ;)

Good, because as the bashing was scarying me away!!!:(

After seeing the new Superman clip, I think X3 has it difficult to exceed Superman effects. I hope the flying in X3 will be better than what we has seen in all the previous big films...

It will be. Just take a look at Angel for example. ;)
