Wolverine VS. Sentinel clip

oh no the movie is ruined because someone didn't like 58 seconds of it. somebody call 911

they gave leno a chopped up version of this scene because the audience won't be able to pause it on colossus and be like "wow i really hope they change the effects on him, he looks terrible" because the clip is less than a minute long. there is a TON of stuff missing from that scene.

and what kind of dialouge would you rather hear?

Logan: But soft! What light through yonder Danger Room breaks? It is a Sentinel and Jubilee is the sun! Arise, fair sun, and kill the envious Sentinel,
who is already sick and pale with grief That thou her maid art far more fair than she..."

AND the effects aren't finished... everybody complained about the first preview saying "oh man this movie is gonna SUCK the special effects are TERRIBLE" then when the second preview came out they were saying how much better it was... think about who is doing special effects for this movie (the same people that won oscars for lord of the rings) and think about how much money was spent on it... i think its gonna be amazing, and i will wait to judge the movie when its out.
Finally an understanding!

After seeing the new Superman clip, I think X3 has it difficult to exceed Superman effects. I hope the flying in X3 will be better than what we has seen in all the previous big films...

To be honest I wasn't blown away at all by that Superman clip. It looks good, but no more than you'd expect with today's fx.

*dials 911* :p

Anyway , new Superman Returns clip? Where? How? What?

It doesn't look like anything special at all. He's supposed to be flying at 500 -600mph and not a hair out of place :o

What are you tlaking about? his hair is flopping about quite noticably:confused:

It will be. Just take a look at Angel for example. ;)

Yes, but that was only the fall of Angel, not his flying, you know. And with Storm, we havem't seen it either. I hope the effects will be at least, decents, I mean, some good flying moments, and a little long, not fast sequences

Exactly, it doesn't have much to compete with besides X3, and Superman has more leeway with the effects because he has no restictions, while Angel has more restrictions beacause of the wings, there is far more motion, and only certain moves can be made to make some turns etc, I bet much more effort was put into making Angel fly than Superman.

I'd guess the original Superman movies and I think the Matrix sequels would count for a more recent example ('Sky High' too..)

Nicely put marty! I am going to wait to judge this until AFTER I see it in the theatre... when it is officially finished being edited and all that good stuff.

Oh look ... Angamb can do more that style the X-Women's hair :D

When he's flying at that speed his hair should be ripped from his scalp - not and look like he's under a hair dryer.

This is true, I was seeing the clip and something's wrong with the hair aspect, I mean, not realistic.

*jumping right in*

I liked it the first time I saw it.

And the second.

And this last time.

And all the times in-between then and now.

One thing I've learned since I became New Mutant (and this was with the first movie at a little place called Countingdown.com) is that people will complain. Sometimes I think it's just a sport for some. They like to go to where the most enthusiasm is and rain. Fun fun!

So I've learned not to argue. If they really don't like it, then they will not enjoy the movie as much as I will. If they are just kvetching to hear their heads rattle, then I will still enjoy the film. My experience of the clip, the trailers, the pics, and eventually the movie, is not going to be affected by the naysayers. My experience is my own.

So, I'm sorry for all you who did not see the clip the way I saw it. That's just one more thrilling and exciting time you won't have in this life. Hope you find something to be happy about some time soon though, because, hey--life's not really THAT long, and you might not get too many other chances.

So good luck with that!

Now onto my next viewing of the clip...

The physics behind Angel's flight ought to be more difficult: Superman flies as straight as he likes but for Angel, to make the effect realistic, his body would have to rise and fall to the beat of the wings as he rises (not so much a problem when he is gliding though). Will be interesting to compare the results when we see them in full (assuming we do see more of Angel in flight than a couple of quick gliding sequences).

All, you know, Harry Potter, F4, Van Helsing, etc.
I thought we were talking about the previous X movies and about the non-existent flying. My bad

I know lol. the classic complaining about people complaining. The universe is soon to collapse my friends.

I thought the clip was ****ed up by Leno's editing squad. They need to be shot. I hope they put better music in and I hope the fx are better than that. And full sentinels would be nice. Just saying... Well the trailers were good. hehe

k I posted this in the "Do you like how he acts?" thread...

Who in their own state of mind be jacking off to X-men clips and the entire movies, eh bub? Who would even think about doing something like that- especially during the fastball special? Like who has the time to jack off to something like that? Next time, take the intiative of thinking before you say something thats not tolerable on these boards. Cause its only gonna get u into trouble down the road. Hell, if the clip was that bloody f ***ing terrible, I would have said it but I thought it was a good clip. Not what I was expected but again it was good nonetheless. And who are you calling some of us naive or a serious apologist? Sure the SFX shots aren't finished but for those who have said the Colossus effects were good, good for them and thats their opinion. They see what they see not because of what others thought or how they saw it. If u say Hugh was trying too hard to sound cool and rebellious, I don't have to take your word for it cause my mind has already made up of what I saw within the context of the clip. I mean we've got a month left until the movie comes out. So why don't we just wait and see how the movie goes after we've all seen it. Cause nit picking about this and that about a 1 min clip doesn't do anyone good. we havn't seen much of everything that'll be in the movie. So I say, we wait and judge it for ourselves. Its too early. :o

1. How is that "not a hair out of place"?

2. He has super hair!
