thanks!That's awesome.
Well i don't have anything against a light hearted even cheesy moment , (i find the clip kind of fun personnaly) ..it 's the execution that i find ( for the moment) mediocre.Phoenix_Rising said:I don't think they thought "We can half ass this coz hey this is the Danger Room afterall." I think they wanted it to be slightly cheesy and light-hearted as it's the beginning of the film and shouldn't be too serious. The tone has been said by many involved in X3, cast and crew, to be the same as was set by Bryan Singer but like Singer's style there are also light-hearted moments such as the NSync CD in the XCar or Xavier saying to Wolverine that he'd have Jean braid his hair if he didn't put out his cigar. We're taking this out of context that's why I think it will work fine in the context of the movie, so RELAX!

My post was in response to posters who are trying to make up an excuse to counter the "CGI was not good in this clip" posts. It's more than likely unfinished SF/X. That's good enough a response for me. But to go on and say that this is the Danger room and the effects can look half baked and the Sentinel, Colossus could look like crap because afterall, this is the Danger Room, is just not needed.
I've said this a bunch of times: I'm all for defending X-men 3 but people have to stop taking it upon themselves to make up excuses just to do so.
StevieNicks1988 said:I went to the mall this afternoon to get my mom a birthday present and stopped by the bookshop to ask that woman about the X3 scene. She saw it on Leno and agreed it looked quite chopped up. She pulled out the copy of X3 she had read from the back and let me read a bit of it (the bit that features the Danger Room scene). I only got to read for a few minutes, as she had people in the store wanting to check out, but from what I gathered, in the book, it described more than what we saw. It reflected on more of the fighting, the kids attempting things involving teamwork and using their powers. And I found the bit where Colossus throws Wolverine and it says that he attached himself to the Sentinel and climbs up towards its neck and slices off its robotic, lifeless head. It falls to the ground, as well as the chunk of metallic body, and Wolverine lands before the head hits the ground. He walks around it and Storm gets mad at him for finishing it off before the students could really do anything.
Obviously it's gonna be described in detail in the book... but I have a feeling they might have cut out the heading chopping/ sliding off in the movie... I just have a feeling this movie will be a little better than average... NOT acceptable...
That'd be coolStevieNicks1988 said:I hope this one line makes it into the movie.
Storm is like *****ing at him for destroying it after he walks around the head, and he brushes past them and grunts and basically says that he hopes they were taking notes and says if they need him, he'll be outside smoking.

I agree the DR is a simulation/not real but I'd expect a holographic robot to look more modern/technologically advanced than the Sentinel we actually got.
