Wonder Woman 1984 General Discussion and Speculation - Part 2

Between Disney's muted color palette the fact that this movie is so beautifully colorful can help it so much. It instantly looks different than Disney's blockbusters

I thought maybe TROS would look decent but nah, still bad

What is TROS?

The Rise of Skywalker.

I didn't get WW1984 trailer before it, sadly, but if I got it would at least be something visually impressive during that screening

Some people think that the Mall from Strangers things (which I don't watch) is same as the Mall shown in Wonder Woman 1984 film.
No, it isn't the same Mall, as google search shows...

This season was filmed at Gwinnett Place Mall, a shopping center in suburban Atlanta

And for WW84, the scenes were filmed at Landmark Mall in Alexandria, Virginia. So, Not the same Mall. The Mall in WW84 looks much bigger.

Patty/Gal dont want to jump into a 3rd WW as quickly as they did WW84
Wonder Woman 1984 Isn't Getting a Sequel Anytime Soon

I personally think 2 years between films is the perfect amount (for solos) as opposed to waiting 3-5 years. And they've been wrapped on the film for over a year now so they'll already have had 2 years off by the time a 3rd would even get under way. At least for Gal.

I agree. Waiting longer than 2 years either makes people lose hope for the sequel or hype it up to unimaginable levels, generally speaking. I think, anyway.

I would have said that 2 years is ideal a while back, but with comic book movies being so dominant now, I don't think that waiting a bit longer matters as much.

There's so much variety in the genre, and the movies tend to boost each other.

I disagree. A lot of the MCU sequels have had a 3 year gap between films with no issues. When you have so many characters in a franchise it's very hard to release a movie every 2 years for the same character because movies for other characters also need release dates. Just look at what has happened in the MCU with Dr. Strange & Black Panther. The sequel for those films are going to have a 4 year gap because the MCU needed things to happen in other films before they could move on with the sequels. Also, if a studio is going to use the same filmmaker for a sequel, he or she may want to do another project first instead of jumping right into a sequel. James Wan with Aquaman 2 is a perfect example.

3 years is the sweet spot between sequels, imo. Gone just long enough for you to miss them and for it NOT to feel like the last one just came out, but also not so long that you've lost interest. That wait in between Batman Begins and TDK was simultaneously painful and delicious. :D

Yeah, same for me. 2 years is a bit too soon but 4 or more is painful. :csad:

12 movies we can't wait to see in 2020, from Tom Cruise's 'Top Gun 2' to Harley Quinn

The follow-up to 2017's World War I-set "Wonder Woman" visits Diana Prince (Gadot) in the '80s, where she's an undercover superhero keeping an eye on things and watching ancient artifacts in her day job at the Smithsonian. The first film was about the young heroine being introduced to the world, and in "1984," "she knows the world so well, but she doesn't know it as well as she thinks she does. She thinks she's doing the right thing, but what happens in this movie surprises her," director Patty Jenkins says. She wanted a classic Wonder Woman like she saw on the '70s TV show "who's at full strength, yet still is in the middle of her observations about the darkness of mankind."

I know i am late to this but i just found out zimmer is doing the music for the movie. That makes me even more excited has just about ever thing he does is good if not amazing and lion king and Superhero stuff is like what he is best at.

I guess I can appreciate most of that list being female led flicks so you know it's not ign.

Really looking forward to WW1984, more than any other cbm this year , although Black Widow looks good.

We got a trailer last month, but I'm thirsting for more WW84 news.

Definitely. I've been looking forward to this for a while. What we've seen so far looks fantastic.
