Which of her performances is your favorite?
I don't if I've ever seen her perform, per se. A casting director doesn't count as an audience, does it? Long story short: The Milla/French Girl audition, and I was wrong anyway, as Taylor Cole has been shown to be a skilled actress as well.
Why does that feel not true? I'm pretty sure Cole has the most bit film roles.
Most screen time, yes. Most bit TV roles, most assuredly. The sentence is true only because I put the word 'film' in there. The fact that Tanit doesn't do TV almost suggests she won't go for Wondy.
Were you seeing what i was seeing? There was nothing in those "screen tests" to brag that the girl can act, it showed absolutely nothing and ive seen the movies/tv series she's been in which isnt alot, i think she's been in two flicks and none of her roles are even a big deal it seems she just gets casted as a filler as if they were looking for some hot chick which i think she might even be credited as, the hot chick. Atleast the other candidates especially the popular top 2 (jaimie alexander, bridget regan) have proved and played a strong woman even though i think Jaimie Alexander gives off the most WW kick ass vibe out of them all. Hopefully this tv series gets the can before it can even get started.
I would love to get in a quote war with you, but when you put screen tests in quotation marks, as though somehow these auditions were not just that, I'm wondering if we can agree on even obvious truths.
In General:
Being able to do subtle facial expressions and act against nothing, with little experience shows a great deal of talent. Being able to do multiple accents, multiple *types* of people (say a tortured french bad girl and a silly ditzy valley girl) shows a great deal of range. That's not just a pretty face. That's an up and coming actress. It's just that simple. Regan and Alexander on the other hand, have shown very limited range, and moderate talent. I'm especially suspicious of Regan's talent, as her career seems relatively stagnant for the last two years, though Alexander's tough, emotionally reserved bad girls are great for 80s action movies, there's no sign of Alexander being able to play a well rounded character like Diana.
Let this idea that Tanit's 'just a pretty face' go to the birds. We can argue about 'how' talented she is, but the idea that she is not talented is approaching comedic. Does anyone have a problem with hiring a talented inexperienced actress? Y'know, the kind that do good jobs for cheap and grow exponentially under your employ? And she looks a LOT like Diana. Honestly.
She's not perfect, but she's the best casting I've heard so far, especially for a TV series that can't afford an experienced actress. The only experienced actress you can get who does TV that even halfway fits the profile is Eliza Dushku, and none of us want that do we?
All of these castings, *especially* Regan, are speculation. At least for Tanit,
someone,
somewhere ran a story on it, so it's not utterly baseless. That said, if we're only discussing actresses from credible sources:
