You forgot Captain America - worse than Catwoman.

However, of the choice given above, I'd say Batman & Robin.

seriously, WHAT THE HELL IS ROCKETEER DOING UP THERE?! :down

There's clearly a conspiracy against Jennifer Connelly.

What, how could the Rocketeer possibly be listed on that poll? I loved that movie! But no, I'd definitely have to say beyond any shadow of a doubt and with great conviction, Batman & Robin takes the all-time worst super-hero film rendition in history cake.

I'm still wonderong why Blade2 and the punisher is up there.
And batma & Robin? Was it really that bad?
I saw it first day it came out and thought it was very good, however.

Steel had a wide release though, didn't it?

It's not widely seen. Most people are atleast aware of the Catwoman movie, most are not aware of Steel.

Captain America has two things going for it - it's the first superhero movie to portray a supervillain in a tragic light; and it also streamlines Cap's origin with the Skull's, to make both more believable yet add dramatic irony.

That means you're weren't paying a attention. Batman & Robin are worst comic book movie to be made in history where almost everyone hates it and you like it... man that's weird...

Being in the minority does not make you wrong. Especially concerning opinions.

FF doesn't need to be up there, even if it seemed to be the victim of Fox's tweaking. The people involved did give it a good go, regardless of how much they were hindered.

This poll SUCKS.

Rocketeer / Blade 2 / Punisher / Hulk

needs to be replaced with:

Superman Returns / Fantastic Four / Daredevil / Blade 3

Superman IV is surely the worst. B&R, Catwoman, etc are artistically cringe-worthy byut they are professional, well produced movies.

I can still somewhat enjoy Superman 4 b/c Chris Reeves is in it, and Nuclear Man is such a crappy character its funny.

George Clooney as Batman??? I think thats worse casting than Kate Bosworth, and they ruin plenty of actual comics characters. B&R gives me headaches...

Chris Reeve is actually not very good in Superman IV. If you compare his performances from the first three films to Superman IV, you'll notice a huge change. Basically, he's not trying very hard. In Supes IV, you're watching a smaller, slimmed-down Christopher Reeve going through the motions on a film he knows is going to be complete crap. It's like the spell is broken - you're not seeing Superman anymore, you're seeing the man who plays him - playing him badly. Margot Kidder actually puts far more into Superman IV than Reeve does.

Clooney could be a great Batman - given a great script and a great director. If Christian Bale had been cast in Batman & Robin, we'd now be saying, "Bale is the worst Batman ever."

I recall having similar thoughts in a theater a couple weeks ago.

STEEL by far. NOTHING comes close to sucking more than this movie.

Their are a lot of bad ones. but from the poll, Batman and Robin.

Well, I do need to watch it again. The last time I saw any of it was about 3 years ago and it was only about 20 minutes including the scene with the ridiculously cheap animated tornado, so I was laughing my ass off.. Unfortunately I tried to rent it the other night, but someone had already checked it out.

Sorry but I can't agree. I think the best Batman George Clooney could be is in that movie. About Bale, even though I don't like Batman Forever I still think Val Kilmer could have made a good Batman somewhere else. I imagine I would have thought the same thing about Bale if he'd been in B&R. George Clooney is too much of a goofball for Batman IMHO..

The Punisher. Craptastic !

At least it had a really dedicated actor - Tom Jane is everything Frank Castle should be.
