Worst Physical Pain You've Ever Felt

You usually only get shingles if your immune system is compromised in some way. Thats why old people, and sick people are usually the ones to get them.

great. better work on building up my immune system then cuz lately it has been sucky

In American football's defense, if some of the NFL's best tacklers like Ray Lewis, Brian Urlacher, or Ryan Clark tackled most of those Rugby guys, they'd probably quit Rugby.

True, the NFL seems like the sissy resort to rugby, but those mother****ers are, in a lot of cases, INCREDIBLY hard hitters (more so than a lot of rugby players, I'd argue).

That's why they wear armor.

Oh yea I was only playing, I love NFL.

But in the rucks and scrums in Rugby you actually have people punching each other, gauging eyes, biting each other. I've seen people get their balls stamped on. People have had their fingers bitten off, eye balls actually gauged OUT.

Trust me, I know all about Ray Lewis and that, he wouldn't find it that easy to play Rugby. Especially considering it's constant, there is no breaks of play or nothing like that.

All that goes on in EVERY SINGLE SCRUM/RUCK. And only once in a blue moon is anyone caught and punished.

I got chicken pox TWICE...... :(

The first time was a mild case. But my mom thought since I had gotten them I didn't have to worry about it again. Well my best friend got them, and i did too.
The second case was TERRIBLE... pox even in my ears and throat :(

I removed the contact out of my right eye hurriedly one day, and it cut into my eye. I've experienced a lot of pain, but nothing like that. Luckily eyes heal fast.

I've had my finger caught in a door twice. The first time I was a kid and I remember it hurting a lot. The second time was about 4 years ago but I was strong enough to pull the door open until my friends could pry the door back open. Still hurt but not as bad as when I was a kid.

Wow! I had blocked out most of these things before reading this thread. Now i can relive all these experences.

THANKS ALOT HYPE!!!

The gas chamber was an intresting experience. Not sure I'd classify it as 'pain' though. But yeah, I had forgotten it. Again, THANKS ALOT HYPE!

The time I caught my scrotum in the leg lifts on a weight bench. Yeah, that was... not nice. I completely had blocked that out. Thanks again HYPE!

Just had a recent bout of dehydration, that's probably most recent. THAT was not good. My head and neck throbbed for a good week or so.

Had quite a few ankle sprains but none so bad as my recent battle with what I am calling a slight case of gout brought on by a diet of White Castle. I will never eat White Castle again, if anyone asks I am allergic too it. It sounds minor but wow... it felt like I had a foriegn object embedded inside my feet that completely made it impossible to even move my toes without pain. Walking was not easy, it was damn near impossible. Luckily, I kept trying to walk on it and know I think I have it worked out... hopefully. If I hadn't kept putting pressure on it I think it may have built up and some damn fool probably would have tried to amputate.

There are some other ones I'm not going to go into because they were so long ago. These are the ones that this thread reminded of though. THANKS AGAIN HYPE!!!

Ohhhh... almost forgot one of my favorites(women are you listening?) A 10 pound turd exiting my sphincter. TWICE!!! So yes, I don't think much of women who use childbirth as an excuse.

Ahhh yes... contacts.

Those are ALWAYS a pain. I'd put mine in sometimes and be slamming my hands on the table and my head. Eventually I just started leaving them in. Had a pair of disposables in my eyes for almost a year straight, went to the eye doc and there was no problem with them(my eyes.)

Oh yeah, I forgot. On New Years I was lightsabered in the eye. I was blind in that eye for three days. That sucked.

Logan how can you have chicken pox twice? You can only really have it once. Because once you have it the first time, doesn't youtr ammune system know what it already is or something like that?

There are rare second cases.

I've never had it.

Yeah, don't get me wrong, I love Rugby, and I've known some players who are tough mother****ers. That said, I'd still be more intimidated by getting hit by the NFL's best hitters than Rugby's best.

Btw- The stop and go... Much more straining on your body than the constant running. Hence why a lot of those skill-position players in the NFL are effin' RIPPED, while a lot of Rugby players aren't (not that they're not in good shape at all, but have you seen Reggie Bush without a shirt on?)

This is true, and im not saying that NFL arent hard hitters. But in rugby theres more of a method to tackling since you dont have any pads that makes it so that you dont break the back of everyone you tackle. So maybe if the Rugby pros were going at it full force like NFLers do(since they have the protection of pads) they would tackle alot harder. You know what I mean?

Yeah, the fact that they're wearing armor definitely can't be discounted as part of the reason as to why their hits can be more brutal (i.e., Ryan Clark), but still... Some of those hits just are just flat out brutal, with or without the pads.

When I was about 11ish or so, I was riding down hill on my bike in the summer and hit a bump on the sidewalk. Went flying, skid my face on the gravel...40 stitches above my eyebrow, 10 on my cheek...landed on a raised tree root, had back pains for about a month...chipped tooth...literally looked like Two Face with dried blood and my left side of my mouth swollen shut

haha basically a real s****y day. id show a picture but its pretty gruesome.

Yeah theyre all pretty ****ing big.

The worst game I've ever played was the first of the last season. It was like 40 degrees, raining hard, on turf(which cuts you like a *****), playing a team were no guy was less than 280pounds. They were all full blooded Samoan(they called their plays out in Samoan which is really intimidating :csad: ). Even the biggest guys ran SO fast, it took at least five of our guys to take one down, and thats after they would drag us across the field with us dangling from them. In the first ten minutes my co-captain and full back got tackled so hard he had a concussion and a seizure. And one of my wings got cleated in the side of the head and his ear was dangling off. Not to mention that since it was the first game, there was a lot of new guys who were scared ****less. Gotta love Rugby!
