What are some of the worst movie endings you've ever seen? For me, of course. GI Joe The Rise of Cobra. It was an absolutely mediocre film all the way through, and I was bored to tears by the time there was about 2-5 minutes left in the film. Then THIS happens:

I was left speechless all the way home from the theater. When I finally got home, this was my delayed responce to such a ******** "twist" (reaction at the 16:20 point and goes till the 17:00 point):

Btw, I hope there isn't a thread for this already...

P.S. Can someone please fix the thread title to the name of this post?

I would have to say Spielberg's War of the Worlds. No way in hell should that boy have survived.

Agreed. But that didn't anger me as much as the twist in my OP did.

Here's another one: Remember Me, with that idiot from Twilight. Now, THAT was offensive and cheap.

I haven't seen Remember Me and don't plan to. :woot:

The twist you're talking about in G.I.Joe, is that
the one with Destro as the president?

No, look at the link. It's

the last minute "Cobra Commander" reveal

Though I liked the movie, Bram Stoker's Dracula would count (especially as the original ending on the DVD was so much better).

-Any of the Friday the 13th movies with their eye-roll and cringe-inducing "surprises."

-Barbara joining the "team" without a fight and "We're going to need a bigger cave" in Batman & Robin.

-Revolutionary Road tried to be thought provoking but made me laugh/cringe at its Oscar-baitishnes.

-Identity having them all be in crazy guy's head was memorably annoying.

-The Game's twist was obvious and the tacked on happy ending was disappointing to say the least.

Remember Me has such a horrible ending that it ruins what I thought was a somewhat decent movie.

The Mist
The Number 23
Hide and Seek
Secret Window
Haute Tension

Didnt like True Grit's ending. Just ended on a sour note. Not a downer, just....like if you're eating a bag of grapes, and the last one you eat is nasty and sour. Blah.

Me too. I loved it. That ending had me laughing. It's just one of those "OH ****! NO WAY!" endings.....:hehe

southland tales was pretty horrible straight through though then again I guesse the fact that it was over was awesome by comparison.

You DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT spend money like that!!!!!!:cmad: so disrespectful....what's the matter with you!?!?!?!!?! :cmad:

...jk every second of that film sucked. What I thought was extremely cheesy was at the end when they were all walking in slowmo then it goes to regular speed. Why not have them walk in slowmo and end it right there? Nobody cared to see them get into that ultra-chromed out, easy to identify as G.I. ****in Joe aircraft and rise from the ground where sand seems to always cover the hatch where it exits....stupid....jus plain stupid.:argh:

Curse you guys for making me remember GI Joe. I had almost repressed that horrible memory. :woot:

You know, in a way, GI Joe could not only qualify as having the worst ending ever, but also the longest bad ending of all time. How so? Well, consider the fact that the movie is such a pile of sh** that it's literally over before the opening credits. So what you essentially have is a two-hour or so (not going to bother looking up the movie's actual runtime) ending that just keeps dissolving further, like a fully formed dogturd in your yard, gradually being liquified in a rainstorm. Ever clean up dogsh** in a rainstorm? It's not fun. If you're lucky, you won't puke.

Yes, I love that movie, but that kid surviving at the end just made me go crazy. I think it's made worse by the fact that he was annoying. If he were more likable I would've been perfectly fine with seeing him alive at the end.

Oh and I'm just going to put this out there. Even though I liked the Last Exorcism I know the ending really turned off a lot of people.
