The Henry Pym version.

Yes I want to see Henry Pym transform into Giant Man and Ant man as well as Janet Van Dyne transform into the Wasp. They are part of the original 616 Avengers and the Ultimates.

I felt that Giant-Man seems to be over looked when talking about the Avengers movie. I wouldn't mind Ant-Man & then in Avengers or even A2 he becomes Giant-Man to repel a threat like maybe even the Hulk.

None of this is going to happen-- these characters may only appear in cameos.

No thanks. Both Giant Man/Ant Man could take away from the tone of the film. Happy for Pym to get his own movie & even get a mention or a small cameo...just not a significant role.

To me, he and the Wasp are essential. They're founding members, for Christ's sake!

ABSOLUTELY NOT

People seem to have this desire to see every character in the first movie.

But consider two things...
1. The movie is loaded full of characters already
2. I GUARANTEE that some of the actors/characters will have to be cycled out after their own movies and Avengers...meaning that there would be a need for new characters in future films. That means in order to maintain that excitement for sequels, you'll need to debut new characters in their own films, and integrate them into the Avengers in sequels.

my desire is not for every character however I want to see this classic avengers lineup:

1.) Iron Man
2.) Captain America
3.) Thor
4.) Giant/Ant man
5.) Wasp
6.) Hulk

The diagram is already there with X2 on how you deal with multiple characters, and this linup is much smaller than that was.

I've also compared the Avengers to Star Trek, because it's that kind of an ensemble. The focus will be on Tony, Steve and Thor, as the Kirk-Spock-Bones element. Everyone else is window dressing.

i want to see antman and wasp in avengers, i hope they are in it. if they aren't in avengers then they should call it something else. i thought the whole point of not selling the movie rights of these characters to another studio is to put them in one movie together. the only way to get people excited for antman movie it to have him in the avengers then he gets his own movie. i would like him to be giantman too. it would be cool if he becomes giantman after the threat becomes higher.

1.) Iron Man
2.) Captain America
3.) Thor
4.) Giant/Ant man
5.) Wasp
6.) Hulk
7.) Nick Fury
are the only people I want to see as Avengers. Black Widow and War Machine can just be cameoes.

Yes, I absolutely would love to see the Pyms in the Avengers movie. I knew they would get screwed because of Black Widow, Warmachine, and to a lesser extent Fury. Same thing happened in Xmen, they left out founding members and changed continuity for the sake of adding "cooler characters". Hardly surprising I guess.

I say, have Pym in it but not Giant Man yet. Maybe around the end we could have him reveal he's been working on the Ant Man suit, then we get the Ant Man movie, and at the end of Avengers 2 (if it happens) he could show the Giant Man side.

If it means getting Pym into the movie then a resounding...

I do. Both Hank & Janet deserve to be in the movie, they're not hard characters to explain so the audience can wait until their own movie to get the origins. The roster should be:

Cap
Iron Man
Thor
Hulk
Hank Pym (Turns into Antman & Giant Man)
Wasp

Black Widow, Nick Fury & War Machine all have appearances & can help in the final fight.

I'd love to see Giant-Man - But I voted No - Simply because I highly doubt anyone will want to see an Ant-Man movie if they've already seen Giant-Man in Avengers, I'd prefer if they only use Ant-Man. At least for the first one - Maybe in a later avengers film.

YES! Hank and Jan should definately be in it! Iwould prefer that hank already be Giant Man in Avengers. With a few references to his 'ant' past. HE and Jan can easily be introduced as shield scientists. Then in the Ant Man movie that follows the Avengers, explain thier(the wasp and hank), origin and how hank went on to become Giant Man while passing on the Ant Man mantle to Scott Lang. In Avengers II, Hank and Jan are still there, but Hank has changed to Goliath. New costume and all. With a subplot going about how the size changing is having both a pschological and physiological effect on hank. In Avengers III have hank having taken time off due to the 'issues' he's having. Only to return as Yellow Jacket!!!!
You know, nutso hank!

And please give hank the proper personality in the Avengers movie! While I was pleased to see him included in the Ultimate Avengers animated movie, I was dismayed to see that they had given him Hawkeyes smart -assed, anti authority personality. If you've seen it you know what I mean.
Hank is a complex character,...part (mostly) scientist, Part hero, part Dr. Doolittle (has conversations with insects), part Dr. Frankenstien (Ultron), part failure (again, Ultron), and part lunatic,....curious character eh?

Hes a founding member he should be a part of the team.

Why wouldnt I like to see Henry Pym as Giant Man in the Avenger's?

I can't think of a single good reason.

I understand he's a founding member and I hate to bring some sort of logic into this discussion about The Avengers but his whole schtick is too far fetched for the universe they've created. A guy who can turn really really tall just because of his suit or really small, it'll look stupid. Once again I hate saying that about an Avengers movie but you can only suspend your belief so much before it begins to get ridiculous. I will say though I'm lookin forward to Ant Man's own movie because anything Edgar Wright makes is amazing and if they do put Pym in the movie they had better not make him a *****e like he is in the Ultimates movie.

As long as Hank Pym is in the movie (preferably played by Nathan Fillion) i don't care which of his identities they use.

I think it would be great to see his competitive side come out when around tony because Hank is genius in his own rights but stark is always stealing the attention.

...and then Hank could build a suit of armor and try to kill iron-ma...oh, wait, sorry about that. i got a little carried away. yeah, all but this last bit would be cool:oldrazz:

Absofreakinlutely! He and Hawkeye are my favourite Avengers. I'm not really interested in seeing Pym as Ant Man though - only as Giant Man. We don't need to negate the use of the Wasp, and the Giant Man concept when they came out with it was really clever.

Personality-wise, I don;t want the manic depressive Pym, or the pill popping Pym, or the wife beating Pym. I want the slightly insecure, but not neurotic like Ultimate Banner Pym. Norton did a fine job of not making Banner a complete wuss, but keeping him cautious. You could see how he could actually get a girlfriend, and that he was heroic underneath his nerdiness. I want the same kind of treatment for Pym. Insecure in that he feels his research efforts just don't match up to the efforts of the guys in the field in terms of bettering the world like he set out to do. But when it comes down to it and he gets out there after getting his powers either through design or accident (see "Roll of the Pyms thread" for that), it takes him a while to realise he has heroism in him, and potential as a warrior, but eventually it shines through. Possibly through his finally hearing Jan when she tells him she believes in him, and sound words from Cap in a moment of Giant Man being down but not quite out.

Tony Stark above has it right - an ensemble can work well if they make the Big Three Spock and Kirk; and make Hank, Jan, Clint and Natasha Bones, Sulo, Scott, and Uhura.

7 Core characters can absolutely work. With Fury in as situation demands (no need for him to be in battle, or running ops for a battalion of marines, or to give him some private scenes etc)

Wrong. The big three would be Kirk, Spock AND McCoy (Bones). Three for three not three for two, plus in Star Trek, those are the big three. Hank, Jan, Clint an Natasha would be the equivalent of Scotty, Uhura, Sulu and Chekov.
