Jabar cannot be reasoned with, Wheels. It deposits it's posts and then runs back into its hole.

I was the kid rooting for Kevin Nash to end the streak when watching Starrcade '98 while wearing my Wolfpac t-shirt lol.

So we have you to blame for the downfall of WCW? I knew it! :argh:

I feel bad for the guys in the SD vs RAW 5 on 5 because I think this show has such a negative reputation already that their match might not be remembered for what it is, which is one of the best traditional Survivor Series matches in the history of the event in my opinion.
I had so much relief when they pinned Roman, I almost forgot how good the match was. But it really was fantastic, and actually got the time it deserved. No one looked weak because of it.

For me, outside of the main event, the show felt oddly booked. There were definitely some great matchups, but it was weird to see people like Sasha and The New Day eliminated as quickly and easily as they were.
I was baffled by the booking of the tag match and the CW title match.

Let Goldberg be unstoppable for about a year. Then let someone like Braun Strowman or even Samoa Joe (yuck) be The One to stop him. Keep Lesner out of the ring for a bit.

so, the "highlight" video on WWE.com for the Goldberg vs. Lesnar match is about 1:03 minutes long.

just a few more seconds and they could have showed the entire match!

:funny:

Heel Reigns defeats Goldberg, and makes his wife and kid cry like the Foleys did in Beyond The Mat. Come on, Vince, save this character.

Any word on Shane? saw the hit he had last night... looked rough as ****...

Your are around my age then. I wasn't watching wrestling back then, wish I was though. I did play the video games though. WCW/NWO World Tour, WWF Warzone, etc.

The psychology of the match was pretty much brilliant in bursts, thought there was no real way to get one single story told. Shane being the suicidal spot monkey fits the modern perception of his "character", Strowman being a wrecking crew taken down by combo attacks and interference makes him look tough but still human, Owens and Jericho accidently sabotaging each other worked great for taking them out, Styles requiring a Shield bomb to be defeated makes him look tough, and having the Wyatts finish the fight against the remaining 2/3s of the Shield elevated them to a real threat as a group again.

Survivor Series 2005 - Team Smackdown won.

Bragging Rights 2009 - Team Smackdown won.

Bragging Rights 2010 - Team Smackdown won.

Survivor Series 2016 - Team Smackdown won.

When it comes to the brand supremacy, the "B" show is number one! Truly remarkable.

This is going to lead to Reigns vs. Goldberg, isn't it? Reigns wins lol.

I'm sure McMahon would love to book it, but I think Goldberg Vs. Undertaker would be more interesting to watch than Cena Vs. Undertaker.

Still in disbelief about last night. Goldberg was welcomed back in open arms by Toronto and Lesnar lost clean in Canada, but if anybody was going to defeat the Beast Incarnate straight up in believable fashion, it's the guy who beat him before.

I also think Goldberg went over to make up for how bad he (and Sting) was handled.

At that time, I was celebrating my 10th anniversary as a pager salesman for Motorola. :( :hehe:

Yeah, I was in 6th grade back then.

Those morons chanting You Screwed Bret at Goldberg - I hate wrestling fans like that.

Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that Goldberg will definitely work with Brock Lesnar again in a rematch from last night's Survivor Series pay-per-view, where Goldberg defeated Lesnar in an 86 second match. Meltzer noted that the deal was put together within the past week, and it was something that Lesnar and others pushed for. It was noted that Lesnar saw money in a Goldberg program and didn't want to end it with one match, and Vince McMahon apparently saw that as well.

As for why the match was so short, Meltzer noted that it wasn't because of Goldberg being hurt. He said the match was changed to get Goldberg over once he agreed to stay, and the decision was made to do a short match like his short WCW matches that got him over in the first place.

People need to let that go. People also barely bring up the fact that Russo had Bret on TV after that taking yet another head shot.

Goldberg better watch himself if he's going after Owens. Don't forget about the Jeri-GOAT watching his back. Last I checked, Chris still has his number.

Am I the only one hoping Goldberg doesn't win the Royal Rumble.
