Silly boy, he played on her daddy issues--that she would never be good enough to be Batman's true heir. Duh. And that totally worked, of course. I mean, it's not like Cass was completely over that crap and had resolved to give up the Batgirl identity, stop living in her father figures' shadows, and be her own woman at the conclusion of her series, right? No, of course not.

Yeah, that was one of the lame ones. I was thinking specifically of the revelations that Deathstroke was drugging Cassandra and that Babs broke off the engagement so Dick could "find himself." Piss-poor solutions to the cluster**** that those characters received post-OYL, but at this stage, I'm just glad we got some kind of explanation for the ludicrous changes we saw in the characters.

Could someone elaborate on this please or point me in a previous discussion on it.
