Deathproof. I did not expect to see a sex and the city meets pulp fiction chick flick and badass stunt driver turning into a giant *****. I expected to see a guy hunting down women and killing a la The Hitcher.
After 40 min of cringe worthy chatter you get an good scene where he breaks the 4th wall and looks towards the audience with a sadistic grin. Kills everyone. Then after what seems like an eneternity of chit chat he can't hold a candle against 4 women.
WTF.

I loved Rodriguezs' film Planet Terror, im a huge horror movie fan. I normally like Quentins' dialogue in his films since it's a little different than most movies you watch, but this movie was unbearable. I was totally pumped for his film since Kurt Russell was in it, totally got let down. The scenes with Kurt were great but the rest was total utter garbage. I think Quentin was feeling very feminine(sp?) when he wrote that. You think a double feature like that would be geared more towards guys like back in the day but Quentin went overboard with the useless mind numbing girl banter. I couldn't believe how long some of the conversations went on and on and on about crap. That would have been so much better if he chopped a lot of it out.

Worst one I've seen in ages.
I received an emotionless Cage, and a whiney emo boy for Blackheart.

I don't see the main problem with F4 Rise of the SS. It had a few redeeming parts. Sure, they raped Galactus...but they did a neat job on the Silver Surfer.

I am so glad I didn't see it in theaters, it is absolutely awful in everyway.

Have you ever seen some of those movies? They have horrific pacing, and some will in fact have a half hour of dialogue that has nothing to do with the plot. I assumed Tarantino did that on purpose, because it was horrible writing and he can do better than that. I enjoyed it in that respect, figuring instead of making a parody like Rodruigez, he was literally just making a terrible exploitation movie.

^ I don't agree with you about QT, although I think that he is hugely overrated he is actually one of the better filmakers working today.

The first half of Death Proof was great. Kurt was a pimp who could talk women into giving him free lap dances, then he stalks and kills them. Then the second half of the film is where it ALL went down...


Anyway, only film I've seen in theaters that I've ABSOLUTELY LOATHED was Elektra. I walked out just going "WTF" was that!

I'm a huge horror movie fan. YES, I have seen numerous exploitation films. Overall I think it was because im a guy and it was girl talk that whole time. Not to mention that girl who had the radio show got on my last nerve......can't stand when girls try to act hard and tough like that. Comes off as either annoying or laughable. I think it was just because she was an overall *****.
