I used to love the CAW back in the PS1 games and i figured nothing would change when i jumped back into video game wrestling with last yrs game but i couldnt get into it. Every dude i made just came out like the Rock so i figured that was my subconscious telling me to just use the Rock. So i did, like 98% of the time i played 2012. Altho i did download an AWESOME Goldberg. I mean i was stunned at how accurate it looked. Ppl are really talented with those CAWs


Oh but quick question, is the current version of the Rock gonna be in this game? Or just the older version?

I haven't owned a current gen WWE. Last one I owned was a used copy of SvR 07 for the PS2 which someone sent ms by mistaken from an Ebay auction

Haha I got last years game because the preorder bonus thing was the Rock. I actually really enjoyed it altho outside of the classic stars I had NO clue as to who anyone was but it was still a fun fighting game. Like the biggest thing that threw me off was Kane. I always thought he wore the mask and had long hair but the guy in the game was bald and maskless

LOL That's what happened to me too. I mean I played SvR '07 and '09 because my brother had it, and when I finally got my PS3, I wanted a wrestling game and got SvR '10. But when I rented WWE '12 to see if it was different, I had no clue who any of the current stars were.

But I actually gave away my copy of SvR '10 to my nephew last week because I already know that I'll get this game at some point.

I've been consistently buying wrestling games since WCW vs the World way back on the PS1........lol

I've bought every Smackdown game since the 1st one, even when it switched to the SvR format, which is when I felt it kind of went stale.........even when I swore I'd never buy another Smackdown game, I somehow stuck with it.......lol

last year's switch to WWE 12 was a step in the right direction. this year's game seems more of a continuation of that, rather than another giant leap forward.

with the lack of a dedicated CAW story mode this year, I find myself most interested in Universe mode, a mode which I never really touched in the past.

it's kind of funny, though. I remember when the 1st Smackdown came out and there were articles talking about how you could develop rivalries backstage and the like. I never felt like that 1st game, or the subsequent ones, handled that "evolving storyline" experience well.

but, with Universe mode this year, it seems like we are finally getting something like that.

what IS amazing is how far we've come from the 1st Smackdown game.........

You can buy WWE'13 at Gamestop at midnight during release,When they do midnight releases people can buy any game that is released that day,WWE'13 will be released with Assassins's Creed III,I just paid off my WWE'13 pre-order and the manager told me I can pick it up at midnight.

-Story Designer Mode has over 300 new cut scenes including all of the ones from Universe Mode&it's branching options,Among new ones for story designer includes having a monster truck running over a limo&APA backstage playing cards in their own set-up exactly how they did it and you have options to enter&cut a promo on them/walk by the area and leave or attack,You can now also have entrances as cut scenes.

-Half Time Sunday Night Heat arena(when Rock fought Mankind in a Falls Count Anywhere match in an empty arena during a SuperBowl Half Time)is in and is indeed empty.

-You can edit championships colors(straps&plates)and stich together names for announcers to announce,There are many options including able to make names from other companies such as Total Nonstop Action&Impact Wrestling for TNA and also Ring of Honor Champion,You can use these titles in Universe Mode and use which ever custom title in what ever title slot and so like you can make Divas/Women's Tag Titles.

Up to 2 brands for one show and I think up to 3 brands for Universe as a whole But you can have a weekly show mon-sat and up to 4 ppvs each month But they have to be on a Sunday.
