This has me thinking about replaying X-men Legends 1 and 2.

I put this on my Goozex queue and surprisingly Im #8. Guess not too many people were requesting it

Wheee, I'll be playing it tomorrow.

Got it for $45 on Amazon with a $10 credit being added to my account and free release date delivery. I was going to pay full price for it, but a net cost of $35 works just fine for me.

hey.....that's a good discount.

At that price I might be tempted to pick it up.......

but of course, I'll let you test it out first........:cwink:

I expect a full, detailed analysis of the game!! :o

:oldrazz:

So it's out today then. Somebody Redbox or Gamefly it or whatever and give us a consensus. We won't force you to buy it for obvious reasons. :oldrazz:

Yeah, I'm curious to hear if the game is any good. Usually, I'm weary about games where you can't play as the characters you really want to. It's why I stayed away from DC Online.

Someone has the game and is doing a walkthrough. It just looks so... boring. The story could be ok, but the combat is just so generic.

and what's worse is that you aren't able to fully customize your own character. you're stuck with 3 premade characters.

I'd be way more interested in this game if it offered full customization of your own mutant.

It does look boring.
I wasn't expecting anything else, so I'm not disappointed.

I hope they just forget it now and go with Legends 3 next.

Even without the possibility to customize your appearance, I hope you can be a mostly unique mutant. I don't want to have to use many of the X-genes and mostly be a copycat of existing characters.

The premade characters are an attempt to basically integrate them into the Marvel canon in future books, that's why. It's a smart move, but if the game sucks, they won't be well received.

I think it was a wrong move to entrust Silicon Knights with the game. What have they done worthwhile besides Eternal Darkness and a pretty remake of MGS?

Just got the game. Um its a beat em up, just like everyone out there so Im sure itll get boring repetitive soon but right now its fun. I like that they did the 3 character thing, it allows them to tell 3 different stories based aroud the character. Everything about them os customizable except their face and build so quit complaining about it. graphics are alright, could be alot better. I'd say so far its a good rental but definitely not a purchase.

game came out today and still no reviews up.

Not looking good

no it doesnt and I hink I read that it looks to be about 3-5 hours on a single playthrough which also is dissapointing

Ugh. Just lost all interest. This is one of those games I might check out when it hits the bargain bins next year. Sounds like they missed a golden opportunity to make an awesome X-Men game.

The only thing that is uncustomizable is their face, build, and name. Everything else is fully customizable

yeah.......but what good is giving your character cool powers when you don't like their given names and they look NOTHING like how you want them to look?

Yeah, I'd say that name and face(or at least skin color) are probably the two most important elements of creating a personalized character

I think name is hardly important... How many RPGs actually have NPC's call you by name anyway? Most of the time, you only ever see it when choosing your save game.

that may be true......but being able to name our characters ( even if it's just the first name ) makes the characters more of "our characters," it makes them more unique.

I had no problem with being 'Shepard' in Mass Effect.

I even stuck with the first name, because I liked John Shepard from Stargate Atlantis so much.

Even with the first name I wouldn't have a problem. I think it would be kinda lame to always be called by the last name. You'd think if you're part of the X family, they would start to refer to you by the first name. Cyclops for example, wouldn't just be called Summers all the time.
