Apparently some of them have... Its why rebeccas was eventually replaced with cgi

checking Singer's latest 'following' names, I saw the profile of an actress from LA/NY, Michelle Trachtenberg, I entered on her profile and her latest pic on April 12, says something like: Look at my new hair colour...... and is red

edited: have just seen on imdb that she was on buffy.... mmm, dont know.... maybe just a coincidence... but if this was the case... what would you think of this choice?

I have a complicated relationship with Dawn in Buffy, but I can't deny that she was a really good actress at a really young age. I'd be happy with this casting choice. Especially a young Jean!

She's not bad. She did a passable job on Buffy. She wasn't as good on Gossip Girl... but then, it was Gossip Girl.

Very samey in every role.

if Jean doesnt appear on the 70's, would be great to see Rachel in the apocalyptic future, even if she has a cameo or small role. would be a perfect nod

Several things come to mind... If she plays jean in the 70s then does that mean she will remain dead in the future and this will be another way around having to resurrect them

But if she plays Rachel summers... Now I don't really know this character I'm very much guessing she is the daughter of Scott and jean but when would jean have had this child? Would be a new level to the cyclops and jean which would be interesting but still

I have to say it does sound like singer is teasing us

Rachel appeared for the first time on Days of future past, and Jean was already dead. It was an alternate timeline

So Singer could easily do the same.

Just because he hasnt confirm the movie will start with an alternate reality, it doesnt mean he wont adress it on this sequel. I guess he wants to keep that as a surprise, at least until first trailers or so

I hope it's not Rachel Summers, because revealing Jean and Scott's kid whose existence has never even been hinted on in the past films is basically Xavier's Twin Brother Mark II.

I do like the Idea of Michelle Trachtenberg In a X-men film.And she and Bryan following each other Is too much to dismiss.That was first tipoff of daniel cudmore returning.

As a fan of Michelle since she played Dawn I would watch her appearances on Gossip Girl.She upstaged everyone else on show.I used to say If Michelle was made reguralar that
would have gotten me to regurly.

Out of speculation I think she would play young jean Grey.The future scenes are suspose to be post last Stand untill the efforts of time travel.Michelle could still pass as teenager.

Once Bryan Singer placed First Class In 1962 that was major clue of he retconning the trilogy of taking place In mid 1990's.Thus Bryan could Introduce the big 3(Jean,Cyclops,
Storm) In 1973 and laregly keep his films(X_Men,X2) Intact and time travel Is used an
excuse for rewriting things from Origins and Last Stand.

Plus Michelle playing Young Jean Is clue the future of films Is In altered present.

I hope nothing comes of this. I don't know why, as I've never had a problem with her before, but Trachtenberg seems out of place here. Also, if the dystopian future of Days of Future Past follows The Last Stand, I don't see how she could be Rachel Summers, unless she's just Rachel.

In a way it would make sense she might be jean of the past because the first class team seem very small at mo, but I don't think there is enough movie time to give jean and Scott screen time

So I dunno, maybe she will be indeed Rachel, be interesting twist to cyclops and jean

Michelle Is one actor from Gossip Girl who I would want In film.Any veteran from a Joss Whedon show Is welcomed In X-Men.

at the same time maybe she is just a cameo at the end of the movie, introducing young Jean and Cyclops for next movie.

There are many posibilities, thats for sure

If Singer isn't ignoring any of the films, this doesn't work. Jean Grey isn't recruited until later, and Trachtenberg is too old to play her. As for Rachel Summers, she can't be the daughter of Cyclops and Jean Grey because both are dead. Like I said before, she could be Rachel, the telepath and telekinetic, but she can't be Rachel Summers... unless Rachel Summers is capable of time travel and is from another reality altogether.

First of all, is she officially confirmed to star in DOFP? Second, she looks nothing, and I mean, NOTHING like Famke. I seriously doubt she'll be playing young Jean. And Rachel Summers... No.
