Comics X-Men: Emperor Vulcan

Liked the first issue. Wasn't expecting another baddie that soon, but oh well.

Seriously...as if Vulcan wasn't enough...but with him being the sole villain....nobody would ever be able to fully accept him for the hero that he eventually WILL become

Oh brother. He's not going to become a hero.

Brubaker made a point of making sure that Vulcan, in all the issues, went far beyond the point of redemption. Yost has said as much. I highly doubt that Yost is going turn him good, or into any type of hero.

He wouldn't even be a hero if he sacrificed himself to save the Shi'ar people and rebels by killing the bad dudes. I figure the Shi'ar people would merely consider it a mistake rectified and happily receive Lilandra back on the throne.

I don't think a single Shi'Ar except Deathbird would shed any tear.

And if they do kill him, better have him go down like an homicidal madman.

As much as Ive hated whats been done, I really dont want him to die now bc I think that would be such a waste and an easy copout. The third Summers plotline was over 10 years in the making. Theres alot of potential here to be explored.

And what potential would that be, exactly?

(And do note, all of you, that that is not a smack at Brubaker or Vulcan in the slightest. Do not try to warp it into such. Disclaimer ended.)

oh please. he is a Summers. Not a Braddock or a Rasputin...hero's blood runs through them veins and no amount of misguided villainy can subdue it. mark my words...he will be a good guy. Corsair will be retconned alive again and Vulcan will be an X-man...perhaps not anytime soon, but its coming. it. is. inevitable.

I want Alex to kick Vulcan's butt, but I don't want Vulcan to die, because he's one of the Summers, and I always have a fondness towards all the Summers. Yes, even Vulcan, though he and Stryfe are probably two of the least my favorite.

I'd say something snarky about Vulcan only getting an iota of respect from fans because he's a Summers, but I'm the guy who threw a hissy fit when one of the Guthrie kids got depowered.

Probably, eh. Not so sure about daddy, but the definitely the 'good guy' thingy.

Would kinda suck, but oh well.

X-MEN: EMPEROR VULCAN #4 (of 5)
Written by CHRISTOPHER YOST
Penciled by PACO DIAZ LUQUE
Cover by BILLY TAN
It's super-powered space warfare as Polaris leads the Starjammers and the Imperial Guard into battle, while Havok and Vulcan face off against a villain who is way out of their league. And will Marvel Girl's personal vendetta against the Shi'Ar cause her to do the unthinkable? It's the penultimate chapter as the situation goes from “horrible” to “end of all that is.”
32 PGS./Rated T+ …$2.99

hmmm...i LOVE that Rachel has just been bidding her time to F_CK SH_T UP

I was waiting for Rachel to go insane during Brubaker's story, but all she did was create a few war casualties.

I want to see her carve a legend of her own as the vulture that ate away the remnants of the once great empire.

I think there are enough crazy women in X-world, and frankly speaking, I don't like any of them.

Yeah, we hear enough about Jean eating billions of people

me 2. I want to see more Scott/Vulcan

Righ..why is havok the one dealing with the crazy brother? then again, Scott has enough on his plate to deal with than having to handle the crazy bastard brother

I think Havok needs this, so he can be important in the X-world again. And in any case, I'm seeing way too much Scott for my liking in every other book.
