This Is pointless arguement.Virtually every report has It at least 2 hours.1 report has
121,couple at 130,and couple at 140.The Idea that it couldn't be 2 hours Is crazy.
X2 was.And this Is Fox's attempt with bringing back bryan Singer and he bringing In matthew Vaughn to get the franchise back on track. If it doesn't have a 2 hour running time a lot of places have eggs on their faces.

132 minutes is fine with me. Hopefully that's before credits.

I'm seeing 132 all over the place now.

If earlier reports were saying 140 minutes, then maybe it's 132 running time and 8 minutes credits.

No. Running times just don't work like that. No one ever reports a run time "without" credits... Ever.

Exactamundo, bub. "Running time" or "runtime" has always described the complete time/length of the film itself -- this is the definition of the term.

This "with or without credits" stuff is purely fanboy-created (there is no ill will attached to this statement)...

:word:

Early reviews are out and all of them say that its over 2 hours. :)

I remember when I was watching TDK, after exactly 2 hours, my ass hurt.....

BBFC confirms 132 minute running time. Like I said earlier, Allocine is generally the first to get it right and they reported 2 hours 10 minutes a couple weeks ago.

Here's the "as official as it gets" BBFC entry:

X-MEN: FIRST CLASS

Release date:01/06/2011 Running time: 131m 32s Consumer Advice: Contains moderate fantasy violence and one use of strong language
EDIT: 1 minute shorter than X2 by the way. However, according to reviews it's also faster paced so it's able to get through more content overall. For all intents and purposes, it's the biggest X-Men movie yet.

Oh come on, it was well over 100 minutes wasn't it?

It was shorter than X2 but it was still longer than X1. The pacing in X3 wasn't the greatest (it kinda moved too fast at times), but it didn't feel as short as everyone thought it would be....maybe I'm just speaking for myself..

X3 is 15 seconds shorter than X1, actually.

Well, even those of us who liked/enjoyed X3 would have liked it to be longer.

But, as devoted fans, we would probably all be okay with hours and hours more of stuff being added to all the films because we are so into the X-Men.

In ensemble films like the X-Men, longer does work better though because of the number of characters demanded for such films.

Ever since this movie was announced and Singer is on board, I knew it's going to be an awesome movie. Although he didnt ended up to direct the film, they brought one more genius into the game.

And we have Eyjafjallajökull to thank for it. :)

Yes. I had to google the name and copy and paste!

Well, people originally reported it to be 140min and there were some insistent rebuttals that it was not going to be the case.

While it falls just a little shy of that estimate, the 132 official run time would be a great boon for any fan, if not reward them. It's still over 2 hours.

I wonder who's eating whose crow now? :p Particularly those who thought the final length was going to be less than 2 hours if not hovering on the mark.

The 132min is very good news: because it demands depth and latitude from an ensemble cast.
