Sequels X-Men: First Class

Im glad theyve decided to do this film before Wolverine 2. It was the logical step.

If not, Tim and Tahyna would be too old for First class.

the big question is......will they use First Class to essentially reboot the X-men franchise, ala Batman Begins, and give the movie X-verse a clean, fresh slate to work with?

Or, will they just use First Class as a prequel to the 1st 3 X-films?

I hope it is the former, as I am very tired of the current movie X-verse......

I agree, after three movies you might as well start over. Shouldn't be too hard since they've already made Sabretooth different while they have left some years in between when he can became more feral like he was in X-Men 1.

Ideally I'd want the original 5 but as you can see, it wouldn't make sense according to the plot creations that Wolverine Origins made.

hmm intresting Well i hope this movie does good i think of it as a reboot in the X-series so if they get a good director and a good writer then it should do well. I Wonder if Singer Could Return to direct this movie. As For a Villain i hope they choose someone cool. I wouldn't mind seeing Magneto. But i would like to see someone new.

I hope that they don't release this film in 2011 because because it is already getting crowded with Spiderman 4, Thor, Captain America, Thor, Pirates Of The Carribean On Stranger Tides, And Maybe X-men First Class. That will be one hell of a summer.

I'm actually fairly excited about this. It obviously won't be the original roster, but at least we'll have have Scott and Jean. I'm hoping for Beast and Emma Frost as well. Not sure about the fifth member. The idea of Gambit as an older "mentor" could be cool. He could be headstrong and have trouble conforming to the group and then leave at the end. Could be interesting....

As far as villains go, Hellfire Club seems like a logical choice.

I'd be fine with Scott Jean Emma Beast and maybe Banshee or Storm. I'm not the biggest Storm fan so if she didn't make it I wouldn't be too upset.

Id like Cyclops, Jean, Emma, Beast, Banshee. and Hellfire Club as the villian(s).

First half of the film. Xavier finds Storm in Africa, and asks her to join, but she initially turns the offer down.

But the Hellfire Club are planning something which links to Africa, causing problems for Storms tribe. So she appears in the films climax end battle and kicks ass.

and Emma switches sides during the film.

In First Class the roster should be:

X-Men: Prof. X, Scott, Emma, Hank(late 20's), Storm, and Jean(she joins after finishing high school just like the comics or Xavier felt it was best to bring her there after Magneto tried to coerce her into joing w/him)

Allies:Moira, Banshee, Forge

Villains: Steven Lang his Sentinels, Friends of Humanity

The story should take place a yr after XMOW, so the team is established w/Emma gaining her telepathy, she being Xavier's prize pupil until Jean shows up, the love triangle surfaces 'tween her, Jean, Scott...

the Hellfire Club is suited for a part 2, w/Sinister being part of the Hellfire Club, along with Gambit who has ties w/Sinister, a young Senator Kelly, Project Wideawake, Appearnce by the Brotherhood/Magneto and possibly Emma defaults to the Hellfire Club.

So shooting for this film begins in 2010, I'm assuming for a 2011 release? Just where in the hell do they plan on placing this film in the 2011 season? A season that will have Spider-Man 4, Thor, Green Lantern and Captain America. If they wanted May, like Wolverine had, it's impossible, there already is Spider-Man 4 AND Thor in that month.

They'd have to go March/April. Not expecting major villains or a 150 million dollar budget. They need to be creative in terms of making a cheaper film that retains summer tentpole quality in terms of CGI and set pieces. I think Fox will be lining it up like this:

Spring 2011 X-Men: FC
June 2012: Wolverine 2
Spring 2013: Deadpool (Highly tentative)
Summer 2013: FF reboot.

Right there. The Hellfire Club would be their only good choice. Mojo would be way too out there as would the Shadow King.

My problem with picking villians like Apocalypse, Mr Sinister or even Shadow King is they are pretty much bigger threats than what they have faced in the other X-men films. It would be weird to see them take on somoeone as strong as Apocalypse then go to the 1st X-men film where they are having trouble taking out the threat in the fricken Statue of Liberty or some soldiers under a dam in the second film. It would be kind of ass backwards.

Your idea for the Hellfire club is a pretty good one, especially if Emma will be in the film. Could show her start out with Professor X then either from her own free will or because of Mastermind join the Hellfire Club.

Plus Graydon Creed doesn't fit if Mystique is his mother as Sabertooth is highly unlikely to have a grown up kid with her before Origins, unless they change the background again like they did with Emma/SilverFox

the only logical first class team would be (Jean, Cyclops, Beast, Storm (all in movie cannon were original x-men), and then for the fact syrin goes to the school... banshee.

though emma being on the team at first and deflecting after being swayed by the hellfire club wouldn't be bad as a side story either.

Most likely if Graydon Creed was used in this film the writers would ignore the fact that he is Mystique's/Sabretooths child, cleary in X1-X3 they ignored all family connections...as far as sentinels go it would make sense because lets say if they were used in FC, and they fought against it, they would have the schematics on how incorporate them in2 the danger room ala X3...keep in mind all we saw was a head of the robot in x3 not how it look...

Or they could have just been a protocol or mock design of a future device (talking about the Sentinels) in which the schematics were stolen previously by the X-Men. It just doesn't make sense having those kinds of weapons pre X-1.
