I never thought I'd see the day where we would get a wolverine game looking this promising...Raven Software, I believe in you to deliver!

I hope this turns out to be a good game.

This particular cutscene, and in fact the whole game demo that followed, was bloody, brutal and a more honest depiction of Logan than you can probably ever expect out of a blockbuster summer action flick.

The real fun comes in with the gore shaders, an aspect of the game that Raven Software is particularly proud of. Each layer of Wolverine can be torn off, straight down to his adamantium skeleton. If a bullet rips through his torso, you'll see the hole it left. If a knife cuts into his flesh, you'll see the blood and guts inside the gash it tears out. If you take enough damage, you can actually die and be forced to restart from a checkpoint, but you'll see Wolverine torn to shreds and still walking long before that happens. And if you manage to make it out of the scuffle without dying, you'll get to watch all of the scrapes, cuts, and holes heal up in front of your eyes in real time.

That sounds REALLY cool tho.

I agree. If the gameplay holds up, it looks like it will be a movie-based video game that is actually good. I'd love to see how it looks on the Xbox 360.

Well with what they are talking about with Gore Shading, we might actually get a good Wolverine experience. Still tho, I'm not sure just how gory they can make the game being that its based off of a PG-13 movie. Guess we'll see.

I dont have any high hopes for this.

Could be good, I'll keep my eye on this one. From these screens and the trailer for the movie it sure seems like Wolverine doesn't like helicopters.

The unwritten rule is that movies made into games have a slight chance at sucess but games made into movies almost always suck. Marvel movies have a good track record when it comes to making games out of there movies for example the spider man games.

Outside of Spider-man 2 what are the other Marvel Movies that had great games?

Spider-Man: The Movie game wasn't horrible, although it surely wasn't a huge step in the genre like SM2. Not a Marvel Movie game but a Marvel game is Hulk: Ultimate Destruction. As well as the X-Men Legends games...

But as for Marvel Movie games you have a point. Maybe we'll get lucky... :oldrazz:

I'll probably rent this as long as it's better than Wolverine's Revenge.

Ditto Dark Wolverines Revenge Sucked Adamantium balls!! They didnt sell his origins story at all.

Yea i know its early, but im begining to think this game might turn out well, i mean my hopes are extremely low at this point but when you hear GamesRadar say things like this:

The overall level of awesomeness we’ve seen so far from X-Men Origins: Wolverine is remarkable, given the fact that it's based on a movie, something the game doesn't distance itself from

It makes me feel a tad bit better. Im looking forward to seeing/hearing more on this title.

Yo guys hear me out on this.I went to the New York Comic Con last weekend and they had an exclusive preview of the X-Men Origins Wolverine game. They started off with this sick cutscene where Wolverine plows through a group of soldiers using a little stealth and I must say that if you want a bloody and brutal Wolverine game then you got it TENFOLD!!!

I guarantee this is all 100% true no BS whatsoever. The gameplay that was seen was great. There ws one where Wolverine escapes from a helicopter explosion and is dropped in a forest with soldiers waiting. In this stage they mostly showed the lunge technique. To make a long story short there is a boss battle between Wolvie and Agent Zero.Wolverine ambushes one of the copters and makes his way to the cockpit.Wolvie grabs one of the soldiers in the passengers side and lifts him with helicopter blades waiting and off the head goes.SICK!!!!
I left the experience literally blown away. They gave all of the viewers xmen origins wolverine foam claws and dog tags. The game will be bloody and brutal a Wolverine game in the truest sense of the word.

I agree. I was skeptical of course like most people who suffered thru X-Men The Last Stand game. This though looks like something great. As long as it isn't bogged down with too may quick time events i'll be totally on board.

Looks very promising.

I too hope the violence isn't excessively toned down just because the game is based on a PG-13 movie.

Looks awesome.

They will probably be a option to turn the violence levels up or down in the settings or something.

Well the game is supposed to be rated M.

I think the game shows promise, movie tie in or not.

If you have any doubt about how cool this game will be, just head on over to uncaged.com for more screens and info. And once the movie is out, we can really show you why Wolverine will be the best movie/Wolverine game ever made. It will seriously blow your mind if you're a Wolverine fan!
