ok, but complaints about Bachalo's art aside, anybody have any idea who the weird lookin little dude or the guy with the wacky mohawk are??

or the two girls pokin their head in from the side, for that matter.. I assume the black girl may be Idie

No clue who the snake head or mohawk guys are. The front girl is likely Kitty. Beast on the right. On the left would be Idie, and the blonde is maybe Dazzler, since I think all the other blondes stayed with Cyclops.

That snake head isn't a snake head... I do believe that's the Brood kid that's in Gage's arc of Astonishing X-Men!!! I didn't think anything would come of that kid. I'm hoping the blonde is Husk.

And on that second cover it looks like there's two Icemen... then I remembered that a couple AoAers are crossing over (one being Nightcrawler) and that AoA Iceman is on one of the X-Force covers. I wonder if that's what this is... is AoA Iceman crossing over?

Indeed. I don't dislike Wolverine but X-Men's a team game and stuff like this just trivialises the importance of characters like Xavier and Cyclops - Wolverine will now be the headmaster/mentor, team leader AND the kewl one for the fanboys. I'm assuming he'll still have time to appear in 20-odd other comics every month too.

I used to find the character appealing because he was one part of a team that he didn't really fit in with, due to being a short hairy creepy psycho. Having him as an Avenger and taking Chuck's place just doesn't sit too well, maybe I'm just stuck in the past.
