So does anybody think we'll ever find out what Hope is in this last upcoming issue, and why she's so special? Or is the answer to all our questions about her since Messiah Complex just "she's the Phoenix Host" cuz that would be totally lame.

I think it will be very anticlimatic if she doesnt bond with the Phoenix Force at all in this story. With Jean Grey nowhere in sight, Im hoping Hope takes the PF from Scott and bonds with it as she was meant to. I want her to mimic Scarlet Witch's powers and use the PF to amplify them to allow her to restore the X-gene, undoing M Day

You know, I was really hoping that this event would be the one in which the X-Gene was restarted but part of me is now hoping marvel abandons ship and they don't restart the gene in this event. After all, they can restart it in the next event that isn't a complete mess and as fans we might be better off with that result and happier with the story.
