The New Mutants go to Necrosha with Blink and find Elixer with Blink's original team, the resurrected Banshee, Synch, and Skin.

I would be so stoked I might have convulsions.

Since we're talking about "where are they now" characters, where the f*** is Chuck Xavier? He gave Wolverine his blessing in WatXM but declined to actually help with the school, so what the hell is occupying his time these days?

Maybe he's the host for the Phoenix. I always wondered why the Phoenix never really gave a s*** about Chuck.

I was thinking more along the lines of regaining control of the X-Men.

It already happened in the 80s

Is that a What If? Because I'm talking about the actual in-continuity comics. I never understood why the Phoenix was seemingly interested in every psychic except for the guy who pretty much put psychics on the map.

That IS in continuity. It happened during his time with the Starjammers during his sabatical in the 80s. Its not a What If story. It happened in this mini

Oh, okay. Never saw that before. I just thought it was weird given that the Phoenix has been showing up periodically and going to newbs like the Stepford Cuckoos and random-ass aliens like Korvus instead of probably the most knowledgeable psychic of all, if not necessarily the most powerful anymore. Guess it didn't acquire a taste for Chuck in that comic.

Heh, he's dressed like a chick. :hehe:

Not really. It's just a red & yellow spandex suit with a bird on his chest. You could argue that the sash around his waist is feminine, but Dr. Strange has one of those.

He's also got a Cape with a huge popped collar. Chuck has no such awesome accessory.

So he's dressed like a chick....a dead chick he used to crush on when she was jail bait.....so.....yeah....:o

Worst addition to that relationship ever. Chuck will never be anything other than a dirty old man to me now. :csad:

Well, to be fair, he spent a lot of time in England where 16 is perfectly legal and s**t. :o

It's not really the age thing, it's the fact that he's supposed to be a mentor and fatherly figure as her teacher. That's a creepy betrayal that goes way beyond age.

Xavier first mentored Jean when she was 10 so that makes it even creepier

Yeah......and Wolverine has a thing for mentoring little girls too doesn't he?

hell Corsair from the cover of that issue has a sash

And a collar.....not as awesome as Strange's, but, still, there it is.

and a bandana and a 70's 'stache

All of which woulda made Chuck look less creepy.....but not by much. :o

the more i look at that cover the more I want a tv show based on the Starjammers
