I LOVE Abyss!!! I wish he'd make a comeback :(

I'm guessing really but 1 makes me think of Wallflower from Academy X and number 8 makes me think of an Acolyte... Uniscione maybe (or however you spell her name).

Anyone else seen this?Wonder who the creative team will be.

There was a teaser the previous day that just said Fraction and Aja. Don't know if the two are connected but I would LOVE to see an ongoing Gambit series with Aja as the artist!

Heck, I'm stoked at the idea of an ongoing Gambit series at all! I was just recently looking through his first ongoing by I think Nicieza and Skroce. That was a good series.

I mentioned in the Gambit thread in the X-Men forum that it sounds like Gambit is going to have a larger role to play during and after AvX. The question is in today's market, how strong is the demand for a Gambit ongoing? The creative team and price is going to be a major factor like anything else.

I demand it.

I said from the beginning that I'd love to see the X-Men struggle during this event due to their being split between Wolverine and Cyclops and then Gambit (aka, someone unexpected) step up and unite portions of both sides for the greater fight and lead the X-Men against the Avengers due to Cyclops and Wolverine not being able to put aside their differences. And I wanted to see him take on Cap and blow up the shield.

Well, he's facing Cap and he's getting a push post-AvsX... here's hoping I'm on to something.

Pumped about seeing more Gambit!

thats defiently Laurie and Uniscione seems like a good guess

I'll admit, if Gambit charges Cap's shield and used it against him it would be pretty badass.

But I don't like Gambit! NONONONONONONONO! I have to fight those thoughts! I must tuck them away!

I'd rather this guy be Havok

Havok is way more qualified.
Yeah IA. I dont see Gambit caring or being that invested to unify the two sides. Unfortunately he's over in X-factor which is pretty isolated from the X-world. I dont think it will play a role in AvX at all

Havok or Xavier...face its about time he took the teams back

Havok and Storm are more qualified than Gambit as far as leadership goes.

YES!!! Definitely her! Now only the last one to go. Unuscione is definitely as good a guess as any, just haven't found any shots of her in that pose yet.

You're right about that. Xavier is gonna undoubtedly rub their noses in it, specifically Scott and Logan, especially Scott. AvX could be that perfect storm for him to make that move.

I wouldn't be surprised if this all turned out to be a lesson that Xavier was teaching them...you need the old man

Havok would be awesome as well, though I don't like the idea of Storm being in that role. I feel she's become too disconnected from the X-World of late with Black Panther and the Avengers. She's too busy. Havok's too disconnected as well but for some reason I don't mind his being in space as an excuse. He was leading a team prior to that and then led the Starjammers while up there. He'd fit if he weren't isolated in X-Factor-world.

Gambit though, is a bit of a rebel and a wildcard and he does have a brief history as a leader during the Revolution time period leading a fraction of the X-Men and the Thieves Guild. His NOT being the obvious choice is why I like him for that roll. I think someone who's still involved but not so boldly one side or the other (despite his having chosen Wolverine's side of the argument) is the best choice.

Plus, the 90's are making a comeback. It was only a matter of time before Gambit got a big push.

I still stand by my old theory from Schism that ol' Chuck is probably manipulating everyone's decisions so he can step up and take the X-Men back.

Could be, I'm not buying that both he and Magneto are gonna stand there quietly forever...

Charles and Erik need a buddy comic of their own so bad. At least give them a miniseries.

That had one with Excalibur a few years ago and it was really good. I liked the student staff there (especially Shola) and it actually made Calisto cool in my eyes. In my opinion, that book was the best thing Claremont's done since his return to comics.

And then Decimation happened, once again proving that it was the single worst thing to happen to the X-Men franchise.

i just don't see anyone listening to Gambit....maybe Jean if/when she comes back

I regret never reading that Claremont Excalibur series when it was out. I was just so tired of Claremont by that point I gave up on him.

It still stands up pretty well if you ever want to go back and give it a shot. It was also the book that brought back one of my longtime missing fav's, Dark Beast :)

I'd be willing to try out a Gambit series as he's in my top 3 X-men. JH that Fraction/Aja promo is unrelated to this.I wonder if maybe Majorie Liu will write this as I heard she used Gambit often in X-23.
