I wouldnt say it makes it easier to write, bc turning Wanda into a villian was an easy way to write her out not do anything with her. Bendis is doing something more complex here as he's showing two sides of the same coin. Its not a black and white thing with one side automatically right and the other wrong. So far, despite how the X-men and world view Scott, Bendis hasnt written him as a villian. He's only labeled at such people are still pissed over the events of AvX, which they have a right to be but Scott is about picking up the pieces and moving forward. Bendis said UXM is about Scott's redemption. I guess we'll have to wait and see how far he goes with it but so far, Im not minding how he has handled him

Well Bendis was able to redeem Iron Man after all that SHRA business so maybe Cyclops will be back in everybody's good graces in a few years.

Yeah he tried to kill Rachel, as he tried to kill Hope in AvX.

Bendis didn't redeem Iron Man. He continued Iron Man right along the morally ambiguous line from Civil War with his appointing Wolverine to the Avengers as their go-to assassin and revealing the Illuminati and s***. The Knaufs redeemed Iron Man and then Fraction reset him to an earlier version of himself that was literally not responsible for anything in Civil War.

Those costumes still look dreadful. I prefer the Bachalo renditions

I'm assuming the new characters are Eva and the other guy from All New? From what we've seen of those characters so far, they just don't match these Bachalo renditions at all.

Cyclops' giant X just looks stupid imo. Not a fan at all

I like New X-Men but I do think Bendis is laying the Cyclops hate on a bit thick to the point where it comes across a little hypocritical when you consider Magneto, Toad, Sabertooth, Lady Mastermind and Mystique have all been X-men after some of the stuff they have done.

Gentle is probably sitting on a rock outside the borders of Wakanda, wondering why nobody will let him in.

The last time I read Gentle went back to Wakanda he was ostracized because they found out his biological father was Russian.

In a way, limbo(figurative not literal cuz that place sounds horrible) is the best place for black male X-characters. It's the only way they stay alive

I don't think they are safe in limbo. Bedlam was in limbo and Marvel brought him back to die when they needed mutants to kill off.

I surprised 80s X-Men human ally Stevie Hunter is still walking around in limbo. Storm and Stevies weird who gets to be Kitty Pryde's surrogate mom rivalry was another one of those odd stroylines Claremont came up with back in the day.

Stevie has no powers, so they probably view her as irrelevant to their stories. The X-men used to have a strong supporting cast of human characters but they've gone by the wayside in more recent times. Moira was the best one and they sadly killed her off

What's Val Cooper up to these days? She was a big part of X-Factor back in the day.

Last time I saw Val Cooper, she was running the O.N.E. and trying to trick X-Factor Investigations into doing her dirty work before they abandoned her.

It wouldn't be a bad time to re-introduce her into this post AvX world. She'd probably fit into what Uncanny Avengers is all about.

I am also still trying to figure out why Bachalo redesigned Magneti as a Cylon.

Makes the X-Men easier for Bendis to write. He made Wanda the villain in Avengers too.

He didn't make her a villain. He made her a troubled mental patient. That's the genius of Bendis.

Why are people complaining about how Bendis is writing Cyclops? As much as I dislike it, Cyke's on the same progression that he's been on since Morrison. He's not being written as a villain as much as 90's Cable.
